sum38 - I actually did make it through ok! But I think I could've done better with my choice of food when I broke the fast though. I got lots of veggies and proteins in, but I also snacked on way too much fruits even though I was pretty full. Gotta be more mindful next time .

Thanks Italiannie and Sum. I did a 19 hour fast today. Short of the 24hr I was going for but I am only with it. I will be doing 16/8 til Tuesday night. I will weigh Monday to see how I'm doing.

Cherry congrats on the 17 hours. I also get extra hungry after high carbs.

Wow! I feel like I've been gone forever and now there are so many new people on board. Excellent!

Big Hi to everyone! Italiannie, Mizzthing, Esmi....etc, etc

Congrats Moozie one getting under 200..I hope to join you soon!

Hey Sapphire, nice to see you pop in. about family drama, but yay! for holding steady. That's great!

Been a busy few weeks trying to get ready for a long road trip with kiddos in tow. I have managed to stick to my 2 fasts a week, though was not as diligent with my workouts as I was before getting sick. I was in a rut mentally dealing with health issues but thankfully I am feeling better. Coming here gives me motivation to continue where I left off and it has been paying off.

I can relate to those who posted about keeping IF close to the vest, so to speak. Aside from family I live with, only a couple of close friends know. One was the friend that pushed me to get up and do something about my weight issues. She has joined me in IF and has adopted it as her new lifestyle. Being busy with kids x3 each makes us both cringe at making weightloss even more complicated than it has to be. YAY for IF!

Hope everyone is getting closer to reaching their goals. I look forward to reading everyone's updates!

I am on another 24 hour fast today. I weighed in at 200.8 yesterday (SO CLOSE!) but this morning bounced back up to 202.2. I expected the bounce, but it was still a little disheartening to see. I'm hoping this fast will get it moving back in the right direction. I really want to get under 200 before I leave for Florida next Saturday, so I'll do two fasts this week (Sunday and Wednesday) and stick strictly to plan the rest of the week.

I'm working this afternoon, which I find helps distract me from thinking about my fast towards the end when it starts to get a little challenging.

Edit: Happy birthday esmi! I hope you had a great day.

Evening ladies and John,

I am going to do another 24 h fast tomorrow.

I had just horrid, horrid weekend. A few of my friends popped over on Saturday night with wine, cheese, and other food. My 5 hour eating window turned into more like 12 hour feast We stayed up until wee hours; we had fun playing cards and laughing, but I wish I had not eaten and drank 3300 calories -- This morning we had planned breakfast out; I ate 1/2 of their omelets. They are oven baked and really yummy.... I started having tummy problems later on and it turned out they add flour to their omelets. I have Celiac

My 25 hour fast will be perfect to clean out my Saturday binge and Sunday's gluten.

cherrypie we had amazingly beautiful day as well; I washed all my windows.

thistoo How did it go today? I hope you are close to 200 tomorrow and I am sure after Wednesday you will be below.

esmi134 Happy Birthday!

mellyme123 and 35X35 Nice meeting you!

Ouch, Kristiina, I'm so sorry about the hidden flour! I hope you feel better after fasting. I'm not celiac, but I can imagine you feel pretty miserable right now.

I am down to 200.6 this morning, though I feel like I ate too many calories after breaking my fast last night. I restarted my diet plan with a very strict Whole 30, but since that ended I've been letting stuff like dark chocolate and wine sneak in too much. There's even soy ice cream in my house right now, which is not at all paleo.

I am fine with treats like that eventually, but right now I want to optimize my weight loss, and that means I need to cut all that stuff out again. Though fasting is offsetting some of the damage, I think, so I'm really glad I decided to try it. Still, it's not permission to go off the rails on my eating days.

I hope everyone has a great Monday! Work will be busy for me, which I hope means it will go quickly.

Good morning all!

I had a busy weekend. We are putting in new floors so I spent a good part of my weekend tearing up carpet and tack strips in the house and I had a baby shower to attend. I gained a little hoping some of that was water. But I did get into a little trouble with pizza also, so I am hoping that today's fast fixes that little glitch and I show a loss for the week.

This time change is rough in the mornings.

Have a great day everyone!

well lost 3.5 pounds in my fast yesterday. Would be great if it wasn't the same 3 pounds I lost then gained with my first fast. Here's to being more focused on not putting them back on
