hello everyone,

now don't y'all faint, here i am again. have stayed the same for 2 weeks, can't seem to get under 200 yet. i did have to go out and buy a new metal monster (scale) the other one was not so accurate and i may have kicked it once or twice. uh oh???

it seemed like the bronchitis/mild pneumonia did linger longer than i liked, and comfort foods were calling me, but i did try. now that i am breathing better and the weather is tolerable i am walking again.

our little town just got a HUGE kroger marketplace, there are lots of options of healthy quick food and of course my starbucks. harrison, ohio has not seen this much excitement since some cows got loose on the interstate!

my son is moving out next month (all 6ft 11in of him has been in my dining room of my 2BR condo) so i won't have all the mass quantities of food he brings into the house. my almost 18 year old can get into a routine of eating better and exercising, i need a wii partner. and we can eat in the dining room!

hope all you ladies are doing well, have a good rest of the week...

chris

Good morning ladies. Going to be a busy day so thought I had better pop in here first. Went to the gym last night. Did about 30 monutes of weights. My triceps look like bat wings. Summer will be here and I will look like I am ready to take flight. Didn't get to do the treadmill last night as DD ws down there doing homework and I didn't want to distract her. So I got up this mornng and got in 30 minutes. I will try to go to the gym tonight unless my baby is at my house.

I'm making a "messed up" lasagna tonight. I'll let you know how it turns out. It is SB friendly using the ww noodles. It was so easy. My niece made it before and t was delish, so we will see if I can duplicate it.

Crystle, Congrats on being a grandma again. I can't wait to hear those words. But I am truly blessed and I will be satisfied with what I have for now. Sometimes I have a pbj sandwich (with all fruit jelly) and boy does it taste good.

Ellen, sorry your missed out onyour lucnh date. I hope your mood went away witht he day and today you are all joyful. Glad you are sleeping better now

Toni, you are never boring and yes, I have had the same problem. Thanks for sending some warm weather my way. Last night ended up being rainy but it is supposed to warm up today.

Chris, welcome back and so glad you are feeling better. I had something that lingered for 2 weeks also and it was horrible. Glad you are back into a routine and soon to get your condo back. It's always nice to remove thos temptations from your house. I bet you will miss your son though.

Alright, got to get this day started. After another cup of coffee. Have a great day

Goodness, where is everyone today?

The metal monster has me the same this week. That is fine by me. I have been doing some soul searching about eating and need to make some changes.

We took a walk last night, about a mile. I was worn out when we got home. Sat in the hot tub for awhile as my upper body was sore from the gym. Crashed right after BL.

Mercee, 45 minutes on the treadmill is impressive. I am luck to do 30. What speed do you use and do you use an incline?

Toni, I was glad to see Lance go last night. He and his wife are so vindictive and out for themselves. Who cares about the money if you lose all your wt? I hated to see they are bringing everyone back next week. Wonder if it will be a challenge or the biggest % of wt loss to get to stay.

Crystle, hope you are having a bright and suuny day. It is supposed to be 70 here today, but rain coming tomorrow.

Ellen, Are you at the pool? Hope you slept well last night.

Off to do something. As usual, waiting on the guys to work on a proposal. My part is done, but I am sure theyw ill change everything. It is so frustrating.

Have a great day.

Afternoon ladies:

I stayed the same as well. I am fine with it. I must admit I ate some pretzels before I went to bed. How dumb is that? LOL

Solly- I ususally vary my speed and inclines while I walk. I start my speed at 1 then work up to at least 3.2. I vary the incline from 1 and as high as 7. I mix it all up. As my endurance changes I hope to eventually be able to run. (long way off) lol
Glad you got to enjoy a walk out last night. I'll be glad when our weather gets back into th high 50's.

Have a great day everyone and congrats toall the loseres today.

Hello Ladies,

Thought I'd better jump in here and let y'all know I'm still alive! I've had the same stomach bug three times now and it's getting a little old! Each time, I'm not able to eat 2-3 days. Now we all know that's not going to kill me.

Not much happening around here, the kids will be on Spring Break pretty soon and that will make my neighborhood quiet once more. Within three blocks, we've got a high school, middles school and elementry school. Needless to say, mornings and afternoons are loud!

Kate is doing well right now, her memory is a little faded, but I guess that's to be expected. My Brother and SIL were here for a visit and that always perks her up. She's involved in the NCAA basketball tourney and is patiently waiting for tomorrow to come so it can start back up.

I've resolved to myself that there is no way that I can even think about going back to work. Someone really needs to be here with Kate all the time. She forgets very easily and I know she wouldn't eat or drink if I wasn't here.
So I guess I'll consider myself retired for the time being.

I'm off to take Tippy to the Dr. He discovered her little left ear is malformed and we're trying to treat the swelling. He said the next step would be surgery and neither he or I wants to do that. She's so little and as long as she doesn't have an ear infection, it doesn't bother her. That's how we found it.

Talk to y'all later

BOB

Hello everyone! I actually remembered to weigh when I got home from the pool this morning. I was up FOUR! Not sure why as my eating has not been bad. I will just chalk it up to the adjustments my body is going through and hope for better days ahead. At least I am sleeping better and my blood pressure is falling.

My mother in law is arriving tomorrow around 1pm and I know I should be straightening up and cleaning for her visit. I just don't feel like it. So, I am goofing off. I need to go to Office Max or Kinkos and get a high res copy done of a Degas painting I need for my painting class, so when I am done here, I am heading out to do that. I think. I am feeling kind of lazy!

My silk group fell apart this week. Only one of the ladies came over, but we had a nice time drinking coffee and chatting. We did not paint any silk though. We need to get busy! I think we could sell some scarves for Mother's Day if we just get them done and listed on etsy.

I had an appointment with my chiropractor yesterday. She had to do a lot of adjustments as I was all out of whack again. I wonder why that was? I feel better already....and she told me I needed Vitamin B12, which my doctor had told me a few years ago, so I am trying to be better about taking it. She thinks it will help with my energy and metabolism. I sure hope she is right!

BOB: Nice to see you on here! Glad Kate is doing ok, and that you can stay home and care for her. I have a friend who cares for her elderly mother and the state pays her a wage for it. You ought to look into what Florida will pay for that, as I think most of the states have these programs.

MERCEE: Oh! My husband and I just listened to a really good book on tape called , Born To Run by Christopher McDougall. It has inspired me to want to run. You might enjoy it! Its about the tribe in Mexico that runs everywhere...100 miles is nothing to them! It was entertaining and easy reading.

SOLLY: Thank you, I did sleep. I am getting very used to using the machine and I actually LIKE that I can breathe at night now! When does your SIL get his machine? Tell him to check out the sleep apnea forum if he needs encouragement or advice. I found it very helpful. I can relate to the wiped out feeling! I can do an hour in the pool of intense workout, but walking drains me! go figure!

HAPPY: It was great to see your post! How exciting! A Kroger! I bet BOB was jealous! Don't give up...you will make it to Onederland soon!

COUNTRY: Thanks for your encouragement. I don't know what I would do without faith! Its my anchor! The weather is turning nice here finally and Tom is out working in the garden every night! He picked the rest of the collards last night to get ready to prepare the beds for planting. I need to go pull them out of the garage fridge and do something with them. (I don't want to really, but I guess I MUST! ) I keep trying to talk him into planting eggplants and zucchini for me...at least I get spinach, tomatoes, cukes and lots of okra!

TONI: Aw, thanks for the compliments on my granddaughter! She is a really sweet tempered baby too! Laughs and smiles a lot. And if she is cranky, according to my daughter, it means she is tired and just put her to bed! Ha! I am going to keep her this weekend, while my mother in law is here, so it will be fun, but busy!

Ok, I am done and off to get my painting copied and printed, maybe.

Hello everyone. Just had a late lunch because I overslept. Had a natural peanut and butter and sugar free jelly sandwich on a whole grain bread round and a big pile of cooked cauliflower. LOL What a combo but had to try and get my veggies in. I'm thrilled I lost a lb. this week...

Solly- Both my DH and I were cheering to see Lance leave. Especially after he ate 17 cupcakes and put time on Sam. I never could stand him or his wife. I can't believe they have a chance to come back. I'm scared his wife will. Thats great sometimes when you can just hold your own on weight. I'm always somewhat relieved that I can do that. Hopefully next week you'll have a good loss. I've had to rethink how I eat and change it a bit.

Mercee- Good going on the treadmill..... Hurray for staying the same. Next week is a loss.

Bob- Oh its so good to see you posting. I've missed your posts. I'm glad Kate is fine. Heck I can't remember....... Got any of those good recipes that you make hanging around.

Crystle- Where are you gal?

Happy- Darn its good to see you back and posting.

Well guess I'll go look at some stuff I don't need on Amazon. LOL

Opps Ellen I messed up. You'll sure be busy this week end with MIL and baby girl.... You deserve a lazy day today. I wonder if you would have weighed when you first got up instead of after water aerobics. Good for you on the water aerobics.... Next week will be better I'm sure.

Default Good afternoon

Howdy ya'll. I was gone most of yesterday so no computer time to speak of. No loss no gain this week. That is about a month of staying the same. Kinda frustrating in some ways but okay in others. We tried to get some planting done today but the soil is just not cooperating. It is still to wet and clumpy. The boys and I put in about a row row and a half of green beans. We'll try again Friday after it rains tomorrow. We are hopping it will break down the soil a bit.

Jess and I did get some of the carrots picked. Let me tell you clay does not want to give up its bounty. Talk about diggin' and tuggin'.

Congrats to all this weeks losers and those who are keeping on. ((hugzz))

Daily Email Tip:
Save Dollars and Calories
Perhaps the quickest way to burn money and boost calorie intake is by dining out. When faced with a menu chock full of fattening alternatives, it's often difficult to resist temptation. From the time the server drops the bread basket on the table, it's all downhill from there. Between drinks, appetizers, entrees and dessert, an evening out at your favorite restaurant can turn into a fat-fueled feast...not to mention how much money you spend. Whenever the urge to dine out strikes, opt to save calories and cash by preparing your own diet-friendly feast.

Since we don't eat out very often I'm not sure I liked this one.

Bob and Happy so good to see ya'll are the board.

Bob...I'm so glad you can be there for Kate. Hope all goes well with your puppy. Praying that tummy bug goes away and stays away.

Happy...you'll get under 200 hang in there. ((hugzzz)) Sorry you were feeling poorly for so long. Hope you feel better every day.

Ellen..so glad the sleeping is getting better. The weight is probably just water and will be gone before you know it. I hope you get your hubby to add those veggies for you. The zucchini grows so well and you could probably get away with just a plant or two so it wouldn't take too much room or trouble.

Mercee...you are doing so good with your walking.

Toni...WTG getting those veggies in. I had a burrito salad for lunch. And a fried egg sandwich for breakfast. I have really been happy eating the sandwich for breakfast. I only use one piece of bread and cut in half.

Solly...A hot tub sounds nice. I have been aching the last few days and can imagine a nice hot soak. I haven't watched BL yet but ya'll have me curious.

Time to finish online and get movin'.

Love and hugs,
Crystle

Good morning ladies. I'm having trouble clearing away the cobwebs today again. Don't know why I have been so tired this week. I had my grandson for about 3 hours last night. He is so adorable. We are truly blessed.

Bob, its so good to see your post. I hope you can stay with us. We all miss you so much. I'm glad Kate is doing well. I'm jealous of you retiring. I sure wish I could. I hope Tippy doesn't need surgery. Come back please.

Toni, congrats on your loss. I guess you were the only one. You win the prize. I can see a big change in your eating. This is your year.

Ellen, I haven't heard if my SIL has gotten his machine. It was supposed to be last week but I haven't heard any horror stories so I bet he hasn't. Have fun with your MIL and your grandbaby. I know you will with one of them. ha-ha

Crystle, have you tried journaling your food? Look back over the last m onth and see if there is a problem somewhere. That might help. I can relate to your tip as we eat out a lot. Way more than we should. But I am getting tired and lazy as I age. We really do need to change that and the moneyr eally does add up.

Mercee, Wow, you get up to a 7 incline? I am impressed. I stay around 2-3 but I do walk at 3.5 usually. For some reason this treadmill seems slower that the own at the gym. I doubt that those pretzel effected you. You burn those off walking.

As much as I would love to stay and chat all day I have to start my work. Friday is only onhe day away!!!!!!

Have a great one!

Default Good morning

Just a quick howdy. Not sure if I'll get a chance to sneak back on later but I'm gonna try.

Solly... I do journal and the one thing I know is that to lose weight I have to be very aggressive with calorie restriction and I'm trying really hard to worry more about being healthy versus thin. I know if I give up the whole grains the weight will start to come off again. Just not sure if that is the healthiest thing to do.

((Everybody))

Love and hugs,
Crystle

Morning ladies, come join me for a cup of coffee. My tummy is telling me its time for breakfast. I made salmon for dinner with some left over kale for dinner. I wasn't real fond of the kale so glad its gone. Now I've got to figure out something for dinner.

Solly-How fun to have your grandson. I'll bet he's getting cute as a button. I can see where you'd be tired you're so darn busy. You always seem to be on the go..... LOL

Crystle- Hope you have a good day. Journaling food is hard to do all the time. I've tried a bit of it this week.

Well off to cook some oatmeal.
