Top of the 'Morn to Ya! :luck2you:

Happy St Patrick's Day. :goldpot:

I hope everyone is wearing of the green today so you don't get pinched. :patrick:

I am down 2 lbs today. It may have been 3, but I'm sticking with the 2. I don't see how. Weekend eating was horrible and on Monday I was up 9 lbs. I know it is water, but I wish I could have a good weekend and then I wouldn't have to take off that weight during the week. I'm a yo-yo.
We have bunco tonight and I'm sure she will have some green drinks and Irish food. My DH has to babysit all alone tonight as my DD & SIL want to go have a drink with friends. I hate not being there with him, but I love my bunco. We call it therapy since we don't actually play bunco.

Mercee, Congrats on the one lb. Keep chipping away at it. Yes, I am still waiting on these guys again today. I'll be glad when we get this finished, it's frustrating e to death. I would rather sleep in for 30 minutes, but some nights (like tonight) I know I can't workout so I have to do it in the morning. I am trying to do 30 in the morning and 30 at night. It hasn't worked out too well this week, but at least I am getting in 30 a day.

Crystle, I used to love to jump rope. Now I would wet my pants. :fr: I have never tried the boxing, but they say it is a killer workout.

Toni, hope you enjoyed BL last night. I was shocked that Michael lost so much on his own.

Ellen, hope you slept well last night. My SIL did the sleep study and he stopped brething 136 times in an hour. His body toally shut down 5 times in the hour. They stopped him after the hour and put a mask on him. He said it was annoying. It will take a week to get his mask. Now he is afraid to go to sleep at night. My DD (being the compassionate person she is-must get that from her dad) said he has been doing this for this long, what's one more week. ha-ha.

Better go nag these men. Have a great St Paddy's Day  :irish:

Mercee 03-17-2010 11:43 AM

Solly- Congrats on your loss! Great job.

Toni48 03-17-2010 03:43 PM

Happy St. Pat's day everyone. Got up this morning and put a corned beef in the slow cooker. I'll have mine with cabbage and Steve will get his with a potato and maybe a little cabbage. I forgot to weigh in this morning. Darn it. I've got to start watching my calories a bit now. I don't usually do that.

Solly- Whoopie 2lbs is so great.... I know what you mean about Michael it really surprised me too.

Mercee- A big congrads. for losing a lb. this week. Keep up the good work.

Crystle- Thats so neat about you exerciseing. You give me such good idea's about veggies.

Have to run.....

CountryMom4Him 03-17-2010 03:54 PM

Good afternoon

Howdy ya'll. Congratulations to all this weeks losers. :carrot::carrot::carrot:

Breakfast was fish tacos with broccoli and eggs. The guys really seemed to like them. Lunch was a burrito salad and I'm not sure about dinner. If not a meal maybe a smoothie.

Finally got rid of all the pants that did not fit anymore. Talk about an err kind of afternoon. Not one pair from a year ago fit anymore. But oh well, they are gone and when the weight comes off I'll find some more.:dizzy:

((Everybody)) So glad to have this board and you ladies to keep me on my toes.

God bless,
Crystle

Toni48 03-17-2010 08:53 PM

Yum our corned beef and cabbage was so good. I only had three ozs. of the corned beef.

Crystle- I've always wanted to try a fish taco. What kind of fish do you use?

Hope you all have had a good day....

CountryMom4Him 03-18-2010 01:12 AM

Good night

Just a quick good night. Wishing each of ya'll sweet sleep and an awesome day tomorrow.

Toni..I just used some Tilapia. I cooked the veggies first and then just sauteed the fish in a little olive oil. After it was done I stir it lightly in the veggies and scrambled some eggs and then put them all together. It went pretty far. Six ounces of fish went into 11 tortillas.

Love and hugs,
Crystle

Toni48 03-18-2010 10:37 AM

Good morning everyone. Remembered to weigh today and I lost the two lbs. I had gained a couple weeks ago. I'm so happy. I counted calories for the day yesterday and got a better idea of how much to eat. I'm sure using my new scale too.

Crystle- Thank you for telling me how to make the fish tacos. Wow they sound so yummy.

Its beautiful and sunny out. I have to get out and go to town today. Better enjoy the week here they're calling for bad weather on the week end.

Mercee 03-18-2010 10:51 AM

Good morning ladies:

Toni-- Congrats on your 2 lb loss. Great job.

Crystle- You eat the most interesting breakfast. LOL They sound yummy.

I really enjoyed the weather yesterday it was 65 degrees here. I walked 4 miles at the forest. They have the trail marked out so you know hoe far you walked. I really loved it. Walking outside is my favorite thing . The treadmill is my next favorite. LOL

That's it for me. Have a great day everyone.

Ellen 03-18-2010 11:13 AM

Good morning! I went to water aerobics at 8 this morning, then came home and ate breakfast. Just finished up and wanted to make sure I made it over here. I weighed this morning, and I stayed the same. I will take it since mid week I was up three. (made me very mad and I kicked the scale! :) ) I am sleeping a bit better. I have finally gotten used to my new mask, and I am taking an Advil PM before bed, which helps me fall asleep.

The weather is supposed to be nice today. Its about time. I am SO sick of the wet, cold weather! Its time for spring!

SOLLY: This sounds awful, but I am glad to hear there is someone worse than me! I have frequented the sleep apnea forum and for the past two weeks I have looked for someone who's numbers were as bad as mine. I did not find anyone. My AHI (the amount you stop breathing in an hour) is 128 average, but it was as high as 165 in REM sleep. It has taken a bit to feel better and get used to the machine, but I don't dread going to bed anymore, which is a big improvement! I hope your SIL does well with the therapy. Tell him to do a search for Apnea support forum, its very helpful to be able to ask questions and get tips from others who have been using the cpap for a while. Folks with sleep apnea as severe as your SIL can die in their sleep and often no one knows why. Its good he went for the study. Congrats on your loss this week!

COUNTRY: Congrats on the push up! That is a nice measurable improvement! Remember too, muscle burns more calories than fat! I stayed the same too...next week will be our week!

MERCEE: Congrats on the lost pound! Oh, walking in the forest sounds so nice! I used to love to go to the forest preserve near where I grew up. It was in River Forest. They had a nature center and you could take hurt birds, or squirrels there and they would nurse them back to health and release them into the woods. Such great memories! :)

TONI: Congratulations on the loss! That is wonderful! Can you believe we did not have corned beef and cabbage last night? I actually made Indian butter chicken and curried okra. I love Indian food- its my latest 'thing'. Yesterday I went to an Indian grocery store and had fun trying to communicate with the overly helpful store owner! :s:

And now, I am going to get off here and go make my poor hubby some oat bran/chia muffins. He has been asking me to do that for a week and I keep putting it off. I went to Whole Foods yesterday and got the oat bran, among other things, and so today is the day! I think I will make a double batch and hope they are good so I don't have to make more for a while. (he keeps them in the freezer at work)

CountryMom4Him 03-18-2010 11:15 AM

Good morning

Howdy ya'll. It is another beautiful day here. We are going to start tilling today and hopefully will begin planting tomorrow. I am so excited. This time of the year is the best. We will start with corn, green beans and radishes. Not sure about the squash. That might not be until next week. I cheat and buy tomato plants so that we be a little bit later also so they don't get hit with the last frost of the year. Hopefully Wal-Mart will have better herbs in than last year.

Breakfast this morning is going to be chicken breast, asparagus topped with a fried egg.

Mercee...I'm so jealous in a good way. How neat to get out and walk in the forest. Thank you about our breakfast. We eat a little bit different breakfast so that we can sneak in that extra serving of veggies. Southerners like fried Catfish and eggs so the tacos are my way of lightening up and old favorite.

Toni...have a GREAT day in town. We have yucky weather heading our way this weekend also. It is gonna be cold on Sunday.

Solly...hope you are having a good morning.

Ellen...Good morning. Laughing at you kicking the scales. :)

Tech...I know where you are..LOL Come over and say hi to us. ((hugzz))

HappyNow...if you are peeking in you are not forgotten. Looking forward to seeing how you are doing.

((Everybody))

God bless,
Crystle

Good afternoon ladies. Just finished a bid. Now I get a rest until next Tuesday and Thursday.

Toni, Congrats on your great loss. Keep up the good work. Your corn beef sounds so good. My bunco friend has potato soup for St P's Day.

Crystle, My you sure have some unconventional breakfasts. I don't think my fam would eat like that. You should have kept your pants to have when you get back in them.

Mercee, what a great walk and you got to enjoy Mother Nature to boot.

Ellen, I did not hear any levels or REM numbers, but the others are enough to scare you. Glad you are sleeping better. I will suggest the Tylenon PM, it may help him get used to it.

Got lots of work to catch up on so I better run. have a gret evening.

Toni48 03-18-2010 09:00 PM

Eating has been great the past couple of days. Tonight was tilapia fish, leftover cabbage and broccoli. I needed 100 more calories to make my 1200. But ran out of time. Tomorrow I'll make some sugar free pudding for dessert. Maybe I'm going to do really good if I can make it through the week end.

Solly 03-19-2010 10:33 AM

TGIF, boy was it a long time getting here.

It is supposed to be 70 today and tomorrow, Yippee!! I am going to take off at noon and take the baby to the park. I'll take the dog and get us both some exercise.

Did anyone see the story on MSN's homepage about the women who weighs over 600 lbs and wants to be the biggest person. Must be something wrong with her mentally. Obviously she doesn't care about her health or her life.

Toni, congrats on having great eating. Sending you some willpower to have a great weekend too.

Mercee, Ellen, Crystle, Tech, and anyone else lurking. Have a great weekend. I will try to check in. Lots of ballgames to watch.

Mercee 03-19-2010 10:50 AM

Morning ladies:

Yesterday we had great weather again. I went to the woods and walked 3miles, I didn't have time to do 4 because I had to get home and get to bible study. I feel great.
Today is our last day of great weather. We have an engagement tonight, so back to the treadmill. Tomorrow our weather is back to the 30's (unbelievable).

Solly- Enjoy your day and the beautiful weather. I saw that story and thought she was nuts. How about the men who support her b taking her out and paying for the food. Crazy.

Toni- Great job with your eating. I hope ou are able to keep it up over the weekend.

Crystle- I hope you enjoyed tilling and planting yesterday. What did you have for breakfast this morning? ( I can't wait to hear).

Ellen- River Forest is such a beautiful place. I'm glad to see that you are sleeping better.

Have a great day and weekend everyone.

CountryMom4Him 03-19-2010 12:35 PM

Good morning

What a beautiful day before the nasty front comes in. :) The ground was too wet to plant yesterday. Jess tilled it and he tilled it again this morning. Praise God we don't have to till by hand like we used to. Hopefully we'll begin planting early next week. It is going to be cold this weekend so I doubt I'll get outside.

Eating has been good. Exercise is very casual and not that long but it is really helping me emotionally. I feel tons better and just over all stronger. I'm looking forward to not panting. LOL

Mercee... :) Breakfast was ground beef with onions, Serrano pepper, yellow squash and zucchini. The guys also had a side of scrambled eggs and tortillas. Good job on getting in three miles yesterday. I think Tator and I walked 2 maybe. We walked for about 30 minutes. We trekked through our woods and pasture in stead of the dirt road so it was a little less boring.

Solly...enjoy that beautiful weather and time with that precious grand baby.

Toni...good job on the calorie count. I hit about 1,200 to 1,300 maybe a little more if my measurements were off so I won't complain. I had a hamburger salad instead of eating it on a bun. The one thing that I did the first time around was stay very clear of breads and grains even whole wheat. I don't want to be that sever this time but I know I have to be more strict. We'll see if that gets the ball rolling.

Ellen...Praying your insurance people finally get things straight.

((Everybody))

Gotta get running.

God bless,
Crystle
