I have been addicted to TWD since the first episode! I actually go thru summer withdrawl until October... There is a Zombie Mud Run 5k obstacle course run in a city close to me in September. Hoping I am in good enough shape to tackle it. It sounds like a blast with zombies chasing you as you go thru the course.
This thread desperately needs to reappear!!! I'm so excited for tomorrow's episode after the incredible season opener last week. By the end I was so happy i was terrified someone I loved was going to die (maybe because I also watch Dr. Who and Game of thrones, I just expect everyone I love to die, especially after heartwarming things happen!)
Anyone else ready to chat about the amazingness that is the walking dead?
Loved the opening of Season 5. Just saw "The Fury" to get my Shane fix. Can't wait until tomorrow night. This is going to be a great season without the Governor drama!!

I hated the season 3 Governor/Woodbury spin, it partially ruined the show for me. It took up WAY too much time showing character development scenes, boring conversations, and not enough action. Not the best season. Once all of that was gone in season 4 I was so happy. I like the suspense of them being out on the road and being vulnerable at any moment. I wasn't interested in a soap opera about Andrea's poor relationship choices.
Hubby and I binged on seasons 1-4 on Netflix Canada, for about two weeks before the new season started. We finished up with season 4 on the Thursday, then it was torture waiting til last Sunday for the premiere. I don't think I've gotten so emotionally invested in a tv series since Buffy the Vampire Slayer was in it's original run. Looking forward to tomorrow night!
I loved the premiere! I had to watch it twice, Carol is such a bad ***, she's my favorite! It's so great how she developed as a person through the series!
Carol is also now one of my fav's. I didn't like her at first because of her rotten husband and was glad to see him go. She should have kicked his butt in the beginning! I actually cried when Darryl saw her and ran to her and he started to cry and hug her last week....
novangel - Fury was good. I am a WWII addict since I was in the Army and stationed in Heidelberg, Germany. My Dad was stationed in Austria, so any WWII films interest me.
I agree about the whole governor/andrea story. I just kept thinking what an idiot she was being the whole time, and when she died because of it, I was like "yep! that's what happens when you make dumb decisions!" Although to be honest, I stopped liking her character when she almost killed darryl at the farm because she wanted to show off.
Carol has had the most amazing character development in the show. And I love her and darryl's connection. I also cried when he saw her! I was so happy I was terrified something bad would happen to one of them before they reached each other. Thank goodness they didn't do that to us! I'm looking forward to another great episode!
