Well, tonight's show was a bit too slow for me. At least they finally brought Carol back into the storyline....
Is anyone else thinking that maybe it's past time they should be moving out of that area by now? I mean, I'm pretty sure they've and others have raided out a lot of the houses by now...
I agree they should move out of the area. But I realized last night after the show, this episode probably happened concurrently with last week's episode. In other words, it's probably only been a day or two since the Governor attempted to take the prison. I could be wrong, though. They need to take their time showing us where everybody ended up.
I am so glad Carol is back, but it was rather jolting seeing her suddenly standing there. Something about it was weird, like they left some important footage on the cutting room floor. Regardless, it will be interesting to watch her interaction with Tyrese unfold, and what happens when/if he finds out she torched his girlfriend.
Yay! So glad the second half of the season has started! (a week late for that, I know)
I'm working on a theory that it wasn't actually Carol that killed those two people who had the flu. It would just be like her to cover up for one of the girls, in this case, the oldest one. The way that little girl was with the baby....yeah, I'm thinking she might've done some killing before....

Interesting theory. I'd say it's plausible but I'd have to go back and watch the episode where Carol admits she did it. Have you done this? Any clues that she isn't telling the whole truth?
The baby strangulation scene was pretty intense regardless.

I love that theory but I don't believe that there is ANY way that she would have been strong enough to drag them outside.
When I watched last night's episode I also thought that the events may have been occurring just a day or two after the fight with the Governor and his crew. I am glad Baby Judith survived but for a while didn't think she was going to survive very long the way that young girl (I think her name is Lizzie?) almost smothered her. I watched 'Talking Dead' afterward and there was some speculation that Lizzie might be 'enjoying' the kills -- in the scene when it was dark she killed a couple of rabbits with her knife. Or the scene seemed to imply she did. Which now has me wondering if she was the one feeding the walkers! I had also thought she might be the one who torched those sick people, but she doesn't look strong enough to me to drag them either. But who knows, can't wait to see how the rest of the season plays out!
That is an interesting theory, especially since it seemed out of character for Carol. Lizzie is scary. She definitely was the one catching rats and feeding them to the walkers; remember how she named some of them (the walkers, not the rats)? That scene with the baby was hard to watch.
I'm thinking maybe Carol came upon her and helped to cover it up by dragging them outside and torching their bodies?
As for the baby, in this type of a scenario, one wonders how many children were killed on purpose by those who valued survival of themselves more...Horrible thought, I know.
Will be interesting to see what next week reveals!

Yeah, I've been wondering if that's a possibility too. If David and Karen were unconscious or too weak to move, Lizzie could have slipped into the cell and killed them with a knife. Then Carol could have either found her right after the fact or Lizzie went to her for help. Carol would have been able to move the bodies and cover for Lizzie- I think she'd do a convincing job of lying about it to Rick.
Dunno though, it'll be interesting to see how the rest of the season plays out!
What did ya'll think about the show last night? Personally, I'm not buying that the guy is a scientist. Something about him seems way off to me. And by this point, how in the world does he not know how to fire a gun?
I also don't get the whole going to DC bit. All of the important VIPs will have long gone to a bunker underground, and most likely are already dead themselves. So what's in DC for them really?
Show is going great...love it. When Carol showed up, the thing at the prison had JUST happened. It's totally obvious...she even said she was watching. They made it so that we could pick up on the fact that she made her way back to the prison after Rick dropped her off - like she was going to sort of stay back and observe everything, except that she had no idea what was going to go down with the Gov. She saw which way they ran (the girls and Tyrese) and followed them. It seems as though she didn't find them immediately, because it got dark, but she was still close by.
SO! New fav character for me since Shane has been gone for so long...Abraham! Love him! Probably because he, like Shane, is a man's man. A dude. A MANLY man. He rocks Nice to see a big guy for a change!
I agree, the "scientist" thing is weird. They said he still had satellite communications with folks in DC until 2 weeks ago, though, so who knows. But I loved it when Glen asked, "So then how did it start?" and he said "It's classified." Typical federal bureaucrat BS, unless he's just lying about everything.
The show was good, not my favorite though. Not really excited about next week if, as the previews showed, it's all about Beth and Daryl. I love Daryl, but the two of them together is weird (I know they're not "together" together, but you know what I mean.) Maybe some of the groups will start meeting up soon.
