The sandwich generation, deep sigh.
I have a 98 year old grandmother in a skilled nursing facility, and last summer, my sisters and I had to p ut our mother in the same home. It is a wonderful place.
So, my family gets this all in place, things are as good as it can be.
Now, my father in law has alzheimers, and my mother in law recently had a heart attack.
So, between my husband and I we are trying to balance, the care for all of the elderly, which takes up a lot of time, as we both hold the financial and health care power of attorney papers, and trying to figure out how to find the time between all of that, and work, 40+ hours a week, and spend quality time with our 4 grandchildren.
I just want to eat watermelon, and hang out in the water or slip and slide or what ever with my grandkids!
