Gary, we all knew you are one wise man short of a full stable!:p
|
I have an American friend who is a politician and she refuses to have a donkey in her Nativity scenes. She has elephants!
Good luck finding another Wise Man, Gary. Maybe Barbie would stand in? |
Baby Jesus jokes...it's that where we have fallen?...;)
you all are a bunch of wise guys :tree: |
Good Morning everyone. Have a good Tuesday.

The other day it was Go Fish and I would like to try another one. I hear Monopoly is out...any other ideas? We have to keep up our game image you know :) |
We could play that game Battle Of The Sexes....
of course Bill and I would always win... |
Always? Did I read correctly...always? Have you been drinking eggnog with Bourbon again?

Been up since 5. The Township is "snowed in" but my tub installation guys are farm lads and made it here anyhow. Actually I went out for some groceries and it wasn't too bad with my snow tires but schools are closed and Christmas concerts cancelled. Bunch of snow wimps here! Must be city folks without pioneer ancestors!
|
good morning everyone. We are snowed in here too Ruth. They actually cancelled schools last night.
|
I guess we passed off our snow onto you guys. We had it yesterday... the schools were closed, our work opened late, digging out of the snow, stupid cold weather.
I am thinking about baseball, sunscreen, warm days, sunglasses, etc. :) |
And to think...winter is still 12 days away...
these walks in 55 degree weather is brutal...just brutal...gonna buy a jacket if this keeps up... |

We are snowed in too. Schools cancelled and very little, little ones here at the Childcare Center. I actually came in today! We are having our staff Christmas party tonight. And the folks say we are having it no matter what! I say, "Okay!" The wind is blowing really hard...I know there are going to be some massive snow drifts! Gary you can come out now...(even though you didn't go hide like you were suppose to) Since it is Christmas and Santa is watching me... I'll try to be nicer to you. |

Now, SHUT UP ABOUT YOUR 55 DEGREES!!!! We've dropped to 6 right now with wind chill at -25. The snow drifts are half-way up the garage doors and didn't even have mail delivery today! |
It's beautiful here - I love the snow, but I've had enough snow for one storm.
I've been shoveling off and on all day and I can feel it now that I've been sitting for a while..... :) |
In todays paper...for you "snow" bound-ers....;)
|
No snow here---- but it is cold! This morning it was 16 and I think we were supposed to get to 22. Gary, the geraniums are froze now so no more blooms for this year. My Holly Berry tree is about stripped of all the berries. There must be a 100 birds out there everyday!! What a mess...
|
Bummer on the berries KAREN...I have been watching a little tiny bird hop across my patio, it goes between my gardenia and rosemary pots...not sure what it is doing...if the dogs are in the family room and see it the chase is on...
my dogs always lose at chase... |
FYI ~ my computer says it is 39 degrees here....WHAT???!!! Went out to my gauge on the back of the house...
I knew the computer was wrong.... I have it at 41.....whew.... almost froze to death |
yep, Gary, that comic expresses exactly how I feel about this snow:p
Our doggie likes chase too, but the rabbits and squirrels always win-I think they intentionally torment Kasey by waiting just at the end of her cord's range, then (the squirrels, anyway) they'll jump up on the swingset and then to the higher tree branches, yelling at her the whole time! She has actually tried to climb the tree to get to them! |
My huge white pine is loaded with snow. Her branches are touching the earth and look like skirts. The branches start a good 15 feet up so you can imagine how much snow is on them. I'm going out to CAREFULLY knock off some of it.
|
Sounds beautiful RUTH...
I'm gonna go knock off a few of the lemons off this lemon bush before it collapses! Angie asked me this morning if I think we lost the lemon crop with the cold 40 degree weather... |
Gary, you're just asking for a beating.
-15 when I was going to the gym this morning. At lunch, it was a balmy 11 degrees. I hate cold weather. |
Poor Gary.... no snow to shovel, no ice to chip away, no slippery roads to drive on...
You're missing out on life's major joys, Gary. ;) |
we can't forget windchills well below 0 either on top of the highs below 0 too.
|
Sounds tempting...
packing up all my Hawaiian shirts, T-shirts and shorts and heading east... but then I'd have to give up earthquakes.... |

Aren't these colors purdy? You see I am trying to be happy! Let's play the game... when you are a little tiny bit down...:( what do you do to bring yourself UP! |

Great Christmas Cookie Recipe---- Had to share.....
Jose Cuervo Christmas Cookies 1 cup of water 1 tsp baking soda 1 cup of sugar 1 tsp salt 1 cup of brown sugar 4 large eggs 1 cup nuts 2 cups of dried fruit 1 bottle Jose Cuervo Tequila Sample the Cuervo to check quality. Take a large bowl, check the Cuervo again, to be sure it is of the highest quality, pour one level cup and drink. Turn on the electric mixer. Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl. Add one peastoon of sugar. Beat again. At this point it's best to make sure the Cuervo is still ok, try another cup just in case. Turn off the mixer thingy. Break 2 leggs and add to the bowl and chuck in the cup of dried fruit. Pick the frigging fruit off the floor. Mix on the turner. If the fried druit gets stuck in the beaters just pry it loose with a drewscriver. Sample the Cuervo to check for tonsisticity. Next, sift two cups of salt, or something. Who geeves a sheet. Check the Jose Cuervo. Now shift the lemon juice and strain nuts. Add one table. Add a spoon of sugar, or somefink. Whatever you can find. Greash the oven. Turn the cake tin 360 degrees and try not to fall over. Don't forget to beat off the turner. Finally, throw the bowl through the window, finish the Cose Juervo and make sure to put the stove in the wishdasher. Cherry Mistmas ! |
