The Tea Room--December

:candy: We're almost a whole day (more for many of us) into this month, so I thought I'd introduce the sparkling-new, Featherweight Tea Room. Step in and order up! We've got a wide variety of teas, healthful beverages, and lo-cal tidbits. May I direct you to the overlook, where you can view the valley below and the beautiful Christmas decorations? Nothing fancy here, just chat and have a good time. Bring your friends, everyone is welcome!

What a nice treat, Becky, such a delightful little room you've made. :D I simply adore the plush pillows, they're so squishy and cozy! I was hoping to get a cup of Breakfast Americana with some skim milk and splenda...Is that available?

The christmas decorations are lovely, too. I think that nutcracker in the corner is a hoot. I love cracking nuts.

Hi again Jazzbird

some tea sounds good but let me say i have had a rough day "at the office"
im a thinking the a hot toddy may be more in order.
i have been so good lately with being on the treadmill this week but tonight
i am sitting here after 14 hours at work and my legs are actually throbbing.

my question, or statement,... i am still having an extra 4 pounds on me since
Thanksgiving and it makes me so mad because I lost 9 pounds from when i first started posting here then thankgiving just blew me away. how can 1 night of indulgence hang around so long??!! It's just not fair I say!!!!

Hi sweet_talker and you're tea is right over here. You've got an eye for the antiques. That nutcracker is over 100 years old.

Healthy, come on back to the kitchen. You've been really good at avoiding alcohol, but maybe a wee nip is in order. What's been going on since Thanksgiving? Have you been having a lot of salt in your diet? If not, maybe a diet heavy in refined carbs or low in fiber? If you're keeping your overall caloriies in control, one of these problems seems likely. Other opinions?

Can I make a reservation? I'm going to work but by about 11:00 I think I'd like a nice cup of green tea.

I don't like tea that much but I can learn to love it ... Pretty place Jazz !

Jazzbird 12-02-2006 10:46 AM

Actually, I'm not a big tea drinker myself. I have the occasional green tea but usually I stick to coffee. I like to put a little SF cocoa in it. Think I'll have a cup right now. :coffee2:

sugarfreeprincess 12-02-2006 11:49 AM

I am a tea fanatic... second to coffee though. LUV LUV LUV my coffee!!
Our pantry is filled with tea, greens, raspberries, i also drink slimming tea and detox teas. If nothing else they help me stay very regular which in turn makes me feel 10 pounds lighter every morning... :D hehehe
Probably more than everyone would like to know, but what the hey...

Im going to take that empty seat in the corner and knit... :) ... feel free to join me!

I agree with Becky!

Also, this tea is delish, I just wish (haha, that rhymed) that I could have a cookie, but obviously that would spell disaster and quickly turn into approximately a million cookies.

I love the sign, Kathy, it's really cute. :D

Sugarfreeprincess, where do you get slimming teas or detox teas? Or are they regular teas with those properties. I am intrigued. :genie:

I think I need another cup of tea, I have three finals (the last of this semester, my first semester of university...oh my gosh) this week coming. :stress:

I've had some slimming tea before too ... we have a funny story here at work about it. One day I had had some and my tummy was rumbling and gurgling. (Also TMI, but like princess said, what the hey...) My cubemate turned around to me and said, "Did I just hear thunder?" I said, "No, that's my STOMACH!" We still laugh about it.

This is what we drink sometimes. It actually tastes quite good.

Katpo--what a cute invitation!!!

I'll have a cup of Irish Breakfast tea, thank you. Nothing in it (no honey, lemon or cream) as I like it just as it is.

I've tried "diet" tea and can't say it was much different than other tea except it didn't taste quite as good.

srmb60 12-02-2006 06:31 PM

I had Tetley honey, lemon, ginseng tea this afternoon. It was very nice!

srmb60 12-03-2006 07:59 PM

Today someone bought me a Tim Hortons. It was good but I had green tea when I got home from work.

See you al tomorrow. Is there a special?
