Oh, my feet. I've been putting up Christmas decorations around the house--inside, outside, you name it. I think I'm just going to sit down in this nice overstuffed chair and put my feet up. Susan, I think the cook said something about a quiche--lowfat, of course.

Tonight I made some ginger and lemon tea from scratch, just sliced some ginger and a slice of lemon and let it steep in boiling water...

SusanB: yum! Tim Hortons has tasty coffee...It's my favourite place to buy coffee, and I'm not that much of a coffee drinker.

I've not had tea that often lately. I'm drinking lots of skim milk instead. Trying to up that protein. :D I'm of course, counting the calories in it, though. Counting calories is actually pretty enjoyable and I impress myself sometimes with the amount of things I will remember about a food...I have to amuse myself somehow  :)

Do you talk in rhyme all the time? Will that help with the finals?

What a lovely place. How relaxing. I was planning to stay longer but I have just noticed that a mouse has nibbled a big chunk out of the wheel on my computer mouse. Oh .....! This kind of thing makes me a bit cross. :( These meeses, I hate them to peeces.

I'll come back later when I've cleaned up a bit.

Quiche? excellent! I think I'm due for a feeding at about 3 or 3:30. Quiche and green tea will be lovely!
Perhaps Silver will be back from her mouse mess by then ;)

sweet_talker 12-04-2006 01:33 PM

Haha, no Silverbirch, I've yet to use rhyming to study...but I do have other ideas similar that my classmates have found strange. Oh well, they work for me :D I like your rhyme toooo, haha, it's a shame about the meeses. ;)

Quiche? Hmm, I've packed my own lunch today:
a whole wheat wrap with turkey, lettuce, tomatoes, sprouts, cucumber and mustard. And a kiwi...And a cup of skim milk...AND some cc. Obviously had to mention that :D Yummers, I love lunch.

srmb60 12-04-2006 03:51 PM

Oh I hope the tea and quiche are warm. It's chilly outside. Is there a table near the fire?

junebug41 12-04-2006 03:55 PM

Wow is right, junebug! :congrat: on the weight loss and welcome to the Featherweight Tea Room & Emporium!

silverbirch 12-05-2006 04:40 AM

Good morning! I'm back now. No sign of the little blighters overnight.

I'm having a glass of hot water as they've run out of tea. (It's been so busy here! :) ) That reminds me that I used to drink hot water all the time, especially in meetings, before there was such a variety of teabags. Too much coffee doesn't agree with me and some coffee in offices is just plain nasty. I might go on a hot water kick again.

srmb60 12-05-2006 06:19 AM

I've come early today, so I'll have coffee please. I'm not sure what drives an (almost) sane woman from her bed at 6 am on her day off.

junebug41 12-05-2006 08:40 AM

Susan, you must be used to getting your day started early. You are a nurse, aren't you? That would do it! Ever since I started getting up at 3:30 for work, I can't sleep in with a clear conscience anymore

I can feel a *scratch* in my throat right now so i think it's time to visit my tea lady to see if she can set me up with something.

Jazzbird- thank you for the kind welcome! That's my favorite part of A Christmas Story- the enveiling of the leg lamp! Maybe I will settle in with some echinacea and a little Christmas Story this evening.

silverbirch- I've recently begun to recognize the taste of the standard-never-been-cleand office coffee pot. blech.

As I sit here with my coffee bemoaning the fact that the paperboy is late (again) I do take comfort in realizing that I remembered to pack my tea bags for work!! Yesterday was quite chilly (I know, you northerners think I'm moaning, but hey, 40 in the desert is COLD!) and I had forgotten my tea and I had to suffer all day!!! I would have loved some quiche, but my calorie intake has been off and I've regained 3 pounds or so. I even went so far as to up my ticker (I usually don't do that).

*puts feet up on overstuffed otterman*

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! I luvs me some squats :goodvibes:

Jazzbird 12-05-2006 09:17 AM

Oh my goodness, did we run out of tea again? Here comes the delivery right now. (I just love looking at that delivery guy! ;) )
