I have DH's big coat, a blanket for my lap, my muffler, gloves and hat. DD has a jacket with her as well as her sweatshirt, hat and gloves. She has to do the tree loading, so no blanket for her!! I sit and take the money, so the blanket will be necessary!

At our Christmas parade, there was no room to jump!!! We got there early to get a good seat (there were 7 of us) but as the parade wore on, late comers crowded behind our chairs and their children threaded through our chairs to sit on the curb at our feet. Unfortunately the extra bodies didn't give off any heat! It was quite windy that evening (ours is a nighttime light parade--every entry has to have Christmas lights on it).

Something sleepy please. I have trouble unwinding when I work until 11 pm. So I thought I'd hang out here and fill my head with positive vibes to dream on.

Earl Grey, hot!

We haven't had too much cold here yet. Mostly it's been sweatshirt weather, which is just fine with me. But I've done plenty of jumping up and down to keep warm. Some of the worst times were when I was supposed to stay seated. There's nothing you can do! Popsicle toes all the way up to your elbows.

We might have to go find Allison, she'll be frozen to a chair in a tree lot somehere.

You know, it wasn't nearly as cold as I thought it would be. I didn't even have to put my hat on! Another lady's husband stopped by and brought us Starbucks. That was nice! We had a good evening, probably sold about 30 trees or more. The kids were very busy and got a few good tips. The kids have to work 2 shifts at the lot and the parents are asked to do 1 shift. The kids earn tips and save those tips to go toward their trip this summer to China for the 2007 Music Olymics.

I'm so glad you were more comfortable than you thought you'd be. So the whole thing went well? Good for those Kids!

I almost had a headache gals and then I choked on my green tea. Holy blow outs Batman! My head!
I had so much I wanted to do today argh!
Maybe if I jump right on it, it'll be better enough to go shopping later. My DH is counting on me!

Susan, don't get a headache!!!

I am enjoying my Irish Bfast tea now as my morning snack. Nothing to go with it, though. I'm celebrating a .5 pound loss!!! Finally those Thanksgiving pounds are leaving!

Today, DS has an orthodontist appointment to get his lower braces put on. Then it's off to the store to pick up Birthday cards. Did I tell you I have 12 birthdays from Nov. 11 - Jan. 4? I've finished the Nov. dates, but have to get Dec and Jan purchased. Thankfully very few of them require presents to go with them!!!

Good Morning! I struggled thru ... it never did get bad.

I'm off to work again and then I'm off until Tuesday. I'm having my kids for dinner on Sunday :)

alinnell 12-15-2006 11:28 AM

Susan, have a great time with your kids!

I'm ready for my tea and the newspaper. No wait, I'd rather have my book with that tea. I'll curl up here on the rug in front of the fire. It's supposed to be warm today but there's a storm coming. I want to be comfortable!

srmb60 12-15-2006 04:02 PM

Where's the sofa? Wake me in an hour would ya? Work was horrid!

Jazzbird 12-15-2006 11:58 PM

I'm done, I'm done! I submitted my last paper and school is officially out!

Feels good, doesn't it?

DH and I are going to pick up DD's car this afternoon. I plan on driving it home and parking in the driveway (you can't see it from the house) and then placing the key in a box with a bow and putting it on the ground in front of the door and ringing the bell.......surprise!!! I know she can't wait--but she doesn't know it's in yet. They just called last night.

No time for tea this morning. I have to get all the Christmas presents wrapped because most of them need to be shipped out on Monday.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Hello...

SusanB told me about this place and I'm happy to report I found it. Rather late for tea, I know, but now that I've found you, I'll join you for a cup in the morning.

;-)

I'll have a quick green tea while my supper is cooking, busy day getting some last minute things done.
