Jen I'm with you on the crispy tofu! I either lightly "fry" in nonstick spray or bake in the oven because the jello like texture is just nasty. Also marinades def help to add some flavor if that is what the tofu problem is.

Thanks Jenne, I can't find the firm tofu in the normal grocery store just medium and mush for desserts and stuff, maybe I'm just getting there to late in the day to pick it up!I'll try again tomorrow!
Also if you happen to have an awesome marinade mellybelly please let me know what it is, I'm up for anything!

Fitbyforty~
Some days I think I eat too much, too. But, some days I am hungrier than others. I think that as long as you only eat the foods that are allowed and stay within the set limits... you are doing fine. I have found that I am eating less than I was when I first started. It just doesn't take as much to fill me up as it used to.

Wide: try different stores. I buy the extra firm!!! Or I can send some up to ya

And look for marinates low in sugar and salt. Sometimes I just put mine in fat free dressing and "marinade" them that way!

Default Phase II

Hello to all....
I finished Phase I with a 6 pound loss. I am thrilled. Now to keep it going.

Except for eating out, I really haven't had too bad a time after I quit fighting what I couldn't have. I do have to think about what I'm cooking for meals a lot. But I'm sure it will get easier.

I had to be out of town for 3 days with little choice of food. I tried and am now back on track.

For those needing a quick snack, don't forget frozen grapes. They are handy.

I'm getting hooked on my fruit smoothies at night. I never go to bed hungry.

I love all the recipes that get posted. I may tweak them to fit our lifestyle but it is really great to see what others are eating.

Well Hello Ladies. I have been SO busy with work the last 2 days I have missed you all! I hurt my back today at work. I strained a few muscles in my Lower lumbar area. I have the weekend to recover, and hopefully I can go back on Monday. It's the weirdest thing though I am ok untill I sit or lay down.

Jazzi- I know how your feeling. I have had some terrible cravings. My cheat was pumpkin seeds, I didnt have many, luckily there was so much salt on them I couldnt take it. But dont stress over it, your back on track and thats GREAT!!!!

Shae8230 AND Dweeb- WOO HOO!! Congrats on your loss.

Hi,
I just finished my first week of Phase 3. I lost 1.6 pounds. I am very happy with that. I felt like I was eating a lot and was thinking I might not lose anything this week.

Congratulations Dweeb and Sherry!! (Sherry, I am right there with you.... 3.4 pounds away from onederland! My goal was to be there by Oct. 31st. I think I can do that.)

Talking Phase I day 8-newbie

Hello!
I'm so glad i found this site! I started last Saturday 30th and can't believe how GREAT i feel. My cravings have gone down. I used to drink 20 oz of coffee w/ cream & milk AND over 44oz of pepsi a day!! SOOOO my headaches were crazy the first 3-4 days. You know, water tastes pretty good! lol. I still really want chocolate, but haven't even come close to having it. I'm now getting hungry every 3 hours on the dot, or if i think i may be hungry i know i'm eating in at least an hour and it's been pretty easy waiting. I exercise everyday for 30 min on the eliptical at night when the kids go to bed (my DH works out as well), and walked 1 hour w/ my DH on Sunday.
My clothes are feeling a lot looser and i can tell my belly area (after 4 kids) is going down already. This is so CRAZY!! I LOVE it! I think i'm probably going to continue with Phase I for another week and go from there. I'm not ready yet to add more food.
Love the recipes too! They've been helping me be creative. Found things i don't like-chickpeas, but also found things i really like-fruit in my oatmeal & smoothies.
I'm excited to see where this takes me. My REAL goal is 150 lbs which seems like a joke to even say (I'm ast 223lbs), so i'm going to go for 175 to start, which is enough to lose already.
That's it for now. Thanks for letting me share and introduce myself. I can't wait to post my loss on Monday!

Dorrene

Hey everyone. I had to come and confess. Dh and I decided that it would be a good idea to have a "treat" day. We have been eating fresh and wholesome food for the last month. No cheating. Well, a friend of ours(who is a doctor) told us that dieting is mostly mental. If you think you are being deprived of a certain food or foods...you will probably fail on your diet. SO, yesterday dh brought pizza home. It is my absolute favorite food. Needless to say, I pigged out on it. Dh ate a large amount, too. Anyway, both of us were up all night with sick stomachs. We had heartburn, diarreah(sorry TMI!) and I vomited(again TMI). Sorry to be so graphic, but it is necessary to tell the story. So, was it a treat?? Not so much. We learned our lessons. We sent our bodies into shock. Dh called our doctor friend this morning and told him about our "treat". He agreed that we had sent our bodies into shock. NEVER AGAIN! Our bodies were telling us that they didn't need that kind of food. I don't think I will be craving pizza again.
