Hi tattoocherries! Welcome! The headaches DO get better. I am in phase 3 and I haven't gone back to caffeine. My head hurt so bad for the first 3 days of detox that I got sick. I decided that I didn't want to ever go through that again. lol. Cream of wheat isn't allowed in phase 1. But, it is allowed in phase 2. I was glad when I got to phase 2. Because I love cream of wheat and pretty much hate oatmeal.

Jenne1017-For a whole pack of tofu, I did use 3 tablespoons lite soy, with ginger, garlic powder and a little bit of the natural juice from pineapple, marinaded for about 10 min then cooked it to my liking then, set aside and cooked stir- fry veggies and then added the tofu after I drained the liquid from the veggies. I like the tofu done as well as can be, thats why I set it aside so it would not get soggy from the frozen veggies.

HI Smashers!! Hope everone is doing great, I am ok. I am really kind of bummed out about exercise today though. My feet have been killing me, and I have to buy a new pair of shoes on Friday. I cant hardly stand to have my shoes on so Im thinking I should chill out at least on the treadmill till I get some new shoes. I guess I will have to settle for some floor exercises.

Jenne1017- Man, You go on those recipes! Im wishing I was in your wifes shoes! You must experiment ALOT. THey all sound good, Im going to have to avoid that thread, untill I get ready to make my grocery list. Im not going to want to eat my boring soup, that Ive had every week since I started.

Brandilynn I'm with you on the exercise bumming. I attempted running this week but the cough nearly killed me However, I'm also doing floor exercises and to get at least some cardio some jump roping. That hurts my chest too but at least I'm not out of the yard and can take a break if I need it!

I did really well today as far as eating every few hours. Plus for dinner tonight I made a HUGE pot of veggie chili. Between that and the homemade veggie soup from last week my freezer is getting pretty full!

Today's menu:
B-1/2 cup plain steel cut oats w/ 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
S1-about a cup of red grapes
L: Wilted romaine salad w/ lemon pepper tofu and capers w/ light balsamic vinegrette (less than a 1tsp)
S2-1/2 cup plain nonfat yogurt w/ 1/2 cup frozen raspberries
D:1/2 cup brown rice w/ 1 cup veggie chili

After a bout with cervical cancer, yikes and a horrible break-up I have gained so much weight. I lost about 120 punds 6 years ago and 20 has crept back on. I am official smasher today when I wake up. For all of you out there that post, thanks for keeping motivated.

You are welcome all. We had the Boca chili last night and it was yummy. I can't take the credit though. I was searching the net and took them from a variety of places.

When I joined here, I was originally thinking "3FC will have recipes!!" and there weren't many for Phase 1. I am sure when I get to phase 2, I will post a few more.

My wife DOES love me though -- I love to cook. Only she hates Fat Smash because she's stuck doing all the dishes (and there are a LOT!).

Happy Thursday all!

Post Another Newbie

Hello, everyone!
I'm new to 3FC - just found it the other day, and I was so excited to see there were fat smashers here! Today I am actually on day 9 of detox (wow - can't believe I stuck with it!) I'm DYING to weigh in tomorrow morning. I feel like I've lost weight, but I have no idea how much.
During this phase, I found that veggies cooked on the grill outside tamed my craving for meat. (I LOVE meat) I sliced yellow squash and zucchini into spears and sprinkled them with garlic powder and oregano. Then I grilled them until they were soft - YUMMY! I think I'll be eating that a lot. Can I just tell you how excited I am to eat some chicken tomorrow?
I am really lucky that my DH is doing the diet with me. He's wonderful. It helps SOOO much to have someone to diet with! Hopefully knowing that you all are out there doing it too will help!

WELCOME BABYNURSE! My dh is doing this with me, too. We are into our 4th week. He has lost 20 lbs. I have lost 14. We are floating back and forth between phases 1 and 2. But, we like phase 1 so much that we mostly eat foods from that list. We throw in some chicken or fish occassionally. And our big treat is a (very lean, and small) steak on Sunday. It does help to have someone doing it with you. There is no way I could stick with it if I had to cook two meals and then watch him eat things like hamburgers and pizza. Those are the two things I would like to be able to eat right now. lol. The craving will pass, I know. Tomorrow I will want something totally different. It isn't because I am hungry...but because it is a habit. But, the important thing is that I am NOT giving in and eating a large gooey pizza.

Ok let me start out by say I am so upset with myself! This week has been a horrible for me. I have been eating like a maniac and I don't know why. I am not eating good things either everything I have put in my mouth has been pretty bad. 1st on Tuesday I had fatburger (a turkey one, I don't eat beef) but I had extra cheese ate both buns and I had fries the big thick ones and later that night I almost ate a whole box of chocolate teddy grahams Then yesterday I ate some chicken flavored rice 2 garlic cheese biscuits and I had a grande caramel/mocha frappuccino from Starbucks. I do not know what has come over me but I am trying to change this before it gets worse has anyone else fallen off the wagon quite this hard! If so help how do I get back on and stay on!

jazzi>>> this is for you! Time to get back on the wagon! LOL!

Well, today was day one of FSD for me and I have to tell you I'm feeling good, not hungry and not full so I'm doing ok. I do have a problem with the tofu though, I just don't like it maybe because it's a medium and not hard oh well, deal with it right?LOL!
Looking forward to staying in touch with you all!

Hi wide -- buy the extra firm and slice it in half horizontally across so it's thinner, then into cubes. Spray the pan with Pam and let it get a bit crispy. This is the ONLY way I can eat tofu or else I freak at the gooey texture.

Jazzi -- get back on the horse. Start with a few days of Phase 1 to undo what's done and kick the cravings We're here for you!
