Hmmm not sure where I missed, but your number is closer to right than mine was, Dance. I went back and totalled and re-totalled. Through Thursday, March 9, I contributed 192,039. You had 192,221 because the 16k day was 16,686, not 16,868.
I haven't a clue what I missed to only come up with 177K total .
In any event, thanks for catching my error, Dance! Sorry for the confusion.
My contribution for yesterday, March 10 is 8,729, bringing my (newly corrected) total to 200,768.
Oh yay, Kayley! While I was writing my message you posted another 70,000 yipppppeeeee so that really made the total skyrocket and I already need to update it. Way to go!!!!!
Kayley you must be excited... VERY soon you will see those "2" s yipppppppppeeeeeeee for you. I am excited for you.
NEW totals are 683,917
Still to go = 316,083
We will make the 700,000 mark today with any luck at all LOL
Much of what I need to get done today onvolves sitting, so I may not do so well. I'll do what I can and will definitely get a workout in at some point!
Well, well, well... Saturdays and Sundays are *supposed* to be my Slacker Days, right? So, what on earth came over me yesterday?
The weather just beckoned me to come outside. I strapped on the IPod and ended up taking a 45 minute walk around the sub-division. And, I found out my outside pace is faster than my normal treadmill pace. Songs that are usually quite fine to treadmill to were somewhat too slow for outside. So I had to kick it up a notch and find the really hard-thumpin' ones to walk to. Oh, yes, the arms and legs were pumpin'!
Remember last Saturday's pathetic number (1,792). Well, yesterday was much higher! 8,725. Not a 10K day but VERY good for me for a weekend! I'm happy with it!
Total contribution from me (through March 11) = 209,493. Who knows what today will bring?

Great job, Lydia! 5,000+ steps for a laid-back day is wonderful!
Congratulations, Dance, for hitting 200K+!!! That's absolutely fantastic!
Kayley, what a great contribution! Keep going at that pace and you're going to need new walking shoes soon!
And Michele, 13K+ on a Saturday??? My hat's off to you!!! Woohoo!
At this rate, I'm betting we hit the Million by April Fool's Day!
You know, I could've sworn that I posted in here this morning. Like, I can almost remember typing stuff up... but I didn't!
Yesterday was very very lazy. That is until I went for a walk. For 26 minutes. I decided to explore the neighborhood, see how other people take care of their lawns. Coincidentally, I saw a very beautiful lawn with a GORGEOUS flowering tree somewhere in this neighborhood. I sort of got lost, so I don't know where though . In that 26 minutes, I took 2859 aerobic steps and went a total of 1.04 miles. Mind, I'm a shorty (5'1"), so that's why I took so many steps and went hardly anywhere, hahaha. So my total for yesterday was 4773 with more than half of the steps being aerobic. Not bad for a Saturday!
My total so far is 68,334 steps. 21.95 miles. I feel like a wimp compared to you all
Edit: Oh, and I must keep in mind NOT to wear flip-flops the next time I decide to go for a walk. I got horrible blisters and both of my feet! Sneakers sneakers sneakers *mutters*
At this rate, I'm betting we hit the Million by April Fool's Day!
I say we go for it!!!
And LOL Lena... WE have never said you were a slacker LOLOL... you definitely are NOT. Keep on moving those feet LOL
I arranged for a ride home from a church potluck tonight so I can walk there... whew it is that 3 mile thing almost straight uphill again! I don't want to walk home after dark. I will have to put my food into a backpack LOL. But I ought to get in some serious steps for a Sunday... usually MY slacker day LOL.
Whoops! You are absolutely right, Dance. I am at 93,367. I've been writing my steps in my journal and I forgot that I was on page 2! hahaha, thanks for letting me know. I'm a dork Well hey, I'm almost at 100k, so I'm happy
LOL Lydia, I am glad it is right... I am SO horrid at math that I always assume it is me LOL. Thank God for Excel!!!!! Besides I didn't want us to have to walk those extra 30,000 steps or so!!!
