Happy dance for fresh starts
This is going to be more about me bringing an hour of wellness into my day. That's all that I can say right now. Tomorrow's hour is a Pilates class. Sunday will most likely be a gym visit.

Have a great weekend. See you Monday.

Ok, Jillian tonight and nothing tomorrow I'm going to be busy. Starting Sunday (or Monday) level 2 begins. I'm off work until April 2nd so I am going to step up my game a little more the entire week, and then (if I survive) I'm going to weigh in next Friday morning. So far for the entire month I have been averaging exercise 5-6 days a week and have only gone over on calories twice. Something has got to give with this dreaded scale soon...

I know the numbers aren't important as long as you're shrinking but I NEED to see the numbers moving to feel validated. I know I'm not alone on this one.

WB, Sanity!

Philly, the midsection a.k.a. "muffin top" is pure evil. I have been self-consious of my love handles for years. At least my arms are toning up nicely, that was my other nemesis.

I'm thinking I will start body revolution from the beginning. I've missed more than a week I think. Novangel, you should do it with me. It's still Jillian, but in a kick your royal butt kinda workout. I think the change would be good for you and get you better results. Besides, having a buddy would really be very motivational.

Honestly, I don't think I can handle anything harder than 30DS at this point. It's brutal, at least to me it is! I'm going to level 2 next workout which is totally different and MUCH harder. I really want to get to level 3 just to prove to myself that I can. Once I finish this DVD I'm probably getting Ripped in 30 next. I won't rule out Body Revolution but it's expensive!

I figure I will be done with this program by May-June. I don't think I will spend 30 days on on level 2 like I did with level 1. I was so out of shape when I started that it wasn't even funny. It took me a long time to build up an ounce of endurance. I'm in better shape but I am still out of shape if you know what I mean.

Novangel, I made the first phase into mp4's. I'm gonna do it for the whole set, just haven't gotten around to it. You can download them from me. It's not harder than 30ds, believe me I would not have survived. It's a bit like her other programs, but since she made it a system you work certain body parts one day and those parts get two days of rest. With the workouts she has on the market now they are all in one programs. So this format is a bit different from those workouts. It's a cycle that she builds on with each phase. There's one cardio workout for each phase, but I incorporate other workouts to keep me interested.

Ok, I will keep that in mind. Thanks.

Did you ever make it through all 3 levels of 30DS?

I changed my ticker...

I technically started at a fatter 153p but I was holding at 155 for majority of the month (after spiking to 157 for a week) and now I am 154. I got tired of looking at "2 pounds gained". It's not a lie, is it?

Hi everyone

Angel, tickers make me nutz. Pound-up-pound-down ugh...And those weeks when we're back up a couple of pounds after Finally almost getting somewhere...Don't worry about how exact it is....weight's not that worried about whether it's where it should be !

Philly, my avatar reminds me of CatWoman - Michelle Pfeiffer where after she gets pushed out the window by her boss and wakes up surrounded by stray cats. She goes back home and starts to demolish what represents her 'old life' - luv it.

Bunneh, hope you're having a good rest.

It's cold and dreary here. My hour at Pilates was grueling. It was a 2pm class and I don't know if I was hungry, thirsty, or what, because I was feeling 'weakish' - mentally resistant. Like I wanted to whimper through the whole thing Anyway, it's still all good and it's done

Spent time in the back yard digging and pulling up sod for garden beds this afternoon, exhausting! I'm counting that as my exercise today.

I'm going to get my hair trimmed now, it's really been bugging me, and do a little shopping. I'm thinking I will try to do step aerobics tomorrow, but I'm not certain.

Hope you all have a good weekend!

novangle, those micro counts drive me crazy as well. My scale is digital and when I see my weight point something I'm left wondering what's the different from the previous weigh in. Sometimes I round up if the point if .6 or above.

Exhale previously known as Sanity...lol That's like the "artist" previously known as "prince". Good going on pushing through your class. Did you ever see someone just get up and walk out? BTW, I secretly want to wear a catwoman costume to a Halloween party and look FAB in it. One can dream

Bunneh, I would absolutely count that as exercise for the day.

Well I spent the better part of the day running errands. It's raining here and cold. I didn't intend on being out as long as I was but I can say I got a lot done. I bought a popcorn popper from bed, bath & beyond and didn't like it. Returned it today for a Mr. Whirlie pop. Can't wait to try it out. My sister made her popcorn using coconut oil and said it was delicious. Picked up a step later at home depot. I bought it online last night and picked a store that was further away from me than I thought. I'm glad I got it cause I've been standing on my dining chairs which isn't the most secure thing to do. It was a deal at $19. I also went grocery shopping and got some good deals. One being a 18-count carton of eggs for $1.47....nice find! Ok I am off to lounge and make some boiled eggs for snacks. Hey, anybody ever use a eggie? I picked it up at bed, bath & beyond and I will make egg whites with it. Ok, now I'm off to lounge!

GROUP QUESTION:

I was watching a youtube commentary from one of my fav fitness personalities. Anyway, the commentary is about not counting calories. Her approach is that fruits and veggies should not be limited. Her view is as long as you are eating healthy foods and listen to your body's cues regarding fullness and getting in tuned with your taste buds you won't need to count calories.

Check out this youtube episode and I would love to know your thoughts.

Exclamation

I will check out the link when I get on my computer (I'm on my cell) however I think everything in moderation. For instance corn is very high in carbs, and I love corn. Green veggies I'm sure are fine to overdose on.

I also wanted to say I <3 Jillian!! I put on a shirt tonight that I have tried on several times a few months back and put back in the drawer because it was skin tight on me and I was very self-consious wearing it in public. It's freaking loose!!! I wore it out tonight, I couldn't believe my eyes in the mirror!

Novangel, see things are happening even without the scale moving. Woohoo!

I am up super early doing laundry in my complex. I don't like to wait so I get up early to get it done and over with. I got very little sleep last night though. I couldn't sleep for some reason. I'm sure I'll take a nap at some point today. I'm trying out those eggies today and that is my only experiment. No cooking this week. I will eat up what I made last week from the freezer.

Angel

Philly, no one has walked out of pilates class...it's a pretty dedicated clientele and the teacher is demanding (which is as it should be) but with a great sense of humor. Regarding the youtube vid, it was downloading really slowly and I have no patients for that, but If you check out Dr. Fuhrman's Eat to Live site you'll see...although his is a plant-based diet. Aside from the caloric benefit from plant-based, his premise is that when the body gets enough micronutrients it stops 'cravings' and releases fat more readily. I tried the plan for a while and it worked, but I didn't keep up with it. (hmmmm...maybe time to restart - warmer weather and all...) Also, I think some of those cardiologists who have heart-disease prevention programs don't count calories, again, because they are plant-based or heavily plant-based. I find that if I start counting calories I get anxious about it. I do best when I stick to produce, egg whites, and chicken breast, but that hasn't been happening lately
