Welcome to the thread! There's another runner on the thread, but she's in school and hasn't posted in a couple days. Be safe on your outside exercise.

I did not exercise today. I spent the end of my day visiting my elders. Truthfully, I just wanted to be out and about. It's over 70 degrees here in Philly with a nice breeze...mmmmm. It's so warm in my apartment that my coconut oil is melting...wow! It is now 6:30 and I must eat because I am starving. Therefore, it will be too late for me to exercise so I will use this as a rest day.

How's everybody doing?

I did about 30 minutes of aerobics today, just kind of doing my own thing and keeping my heart rate up.

Now I'm off shopping in a bit. It seems like I'm constantly running to the store because I'm out of veggies. I suppose that's a good thing though.

Krampus Welcome!

Turtle Good work!

Philly I want it to be that warm here! My coconut oil has been a pain to get out of the jar.

Hi everyone, you guys are on a roll! I think you are way to advanced for me & I'm over-estimating what I can do vs. what I actually do and what will make me feel good. I miss my pilates classes - they leave me with a nice sense of wellness, and that in turn makes me want to do other training, so I signed up for a couple of classes a week. I think the kickboxing will be a once-a-week thing for now. [I also get a bit obsessive-compulsive with schedules (sorry, I mean well but it's a hard habit for me to break).]

I'm writing out my little pocket calendar, and I see that I've been more active than I credit myself - mostly long walking, pilates, and yoga. These really contribute to my feeling of wellness. I've also been substituting salad for heavy side-dishes, and dropped another pound, so it's a slow-and-sure process and I know that I'm going to reach my goal as long as I keep my eye on the prize & keep treating myself better and taking this project seriously.

Hope you're all having a great day. I'm happy to be part of this group !

Aha! It's warm enough to hang my laundry out on the line! Pretty soon I'm gonna need to get into full gardening and yard work mode.

Today I'm planning for Chalean Extreme Burn Intervals and possibly Burn it Off as well. Depends on how much energy I have. I need to go out in the evening too so I can't exhaust myself too much.

Sanity Don't worry about how advanced anyone else is. A step forward is a step forward, and you are moving forward! Kickboxing is a strenuous workout and it makes total sense to start slow. Congrats on the pound!

Hello Everyone

SANITY, I really thought you were joking with saying "too advanced". I would never have thought anyone would think of me as such. I guess I don't because I struggle with every workout, but do my best to complete it. Bunneh is right to not worry about everyone else. I like that music can jog and I admire her for it. I can't do it though, but I still read her posts with enthusiasm and congratulate her accomplishments. We all have our strengths. We just need to celebrate ourselves more. At least, that's the place I'm in right now.

My plan for this evening is to do workout 1 and walk on my treadmill. I usually listen to a podcast at a steady state pace and that carries me through.

Sooo.....GROUP QUESTION?

Do you listen to inspirational or fitness podcasts? Care to share?

Yesterday fast walked for about 30 minutes, today 2 hours. 703 calories burned today..not to mention my skin a bit.

I don't feel all that tired so I may still dive into Jillian later.

I just finished Chalean Burn Intervals, skipped the cooldown, and instead of Burn it Off I decided to go with 30 minutes of step aerobics because I felt like something more dancy.

Good going movers and shakers!

I'm about to do my workout, but if you'd like to see body revolution someone posted the workouts on youtube. Well workouts 1 and 2 are the ones I saw. You could do these and just add your own cardio into the mix and commit to it for two weeks to get a taste of the program.

UPDATE--youtube links were removed.

Tonight's workout is done. Workout 1 in the bag plus a 2.7 leisurely walk on the treadmill for 20 minutes. I did the walk while my dinner was warming in the toaster oven.

Earlier I asked about podcasts you may listen to for inspiration. One that I discovered was cut the fat podcast.com . More specifically I listed to Episode 21 tonight and in this episode they answer facebook questions. I highly recommend listening to this episode because they tough on different issues that may or may not apply to you, but its really good information.

Ok, off to eat.

That is the second funeral someone posted today. I'm sorry for your loss.

I'm feeling pretty drained today. I still want to exercise but I'm going to go with something really gentle. Probably TurboJam but I'm not going to push myself. I probably won't even put shoes on. I just want the movement. I might also add in Stott Pilates sunrise workout cause that tends to make my body feel nice and relaxed.
