Oh yes that's what I meant, thanks. Writing down what I will eat or have eaten helps me stay on track. I love the ice cream a wee bit too much! :D

Awesome on the workouts Missy, I hope your shin is better. I saw your transformation photo's and all I have to say is you are fantastic and you looked beautiful then and now you look stunning! I now you can get there.

I just finished my 2nd 45 minute session of :ebike: exercise. I am a little bit tried today but I am pushing through. I can see the mountain top and I aim to get there by 1/1! :carrot:

Onederchic 08-29-2009 06:24 PM

Awww!! Igetfit, you just made my night! Thanks :D:D

Just finished last 30 minute cardio

Total today = 1.5 hours cardio

borntobefine 08-29-2009 07:25 PM

Onder,
Just make sure you don't overtrain the muscles. They do need time to rest and repair.
As for the agoraphobia, I went through that several years ago. Did not leave the house for years. Was thin at the time so it was not weight related. Took a lot of work on my part but it is no longer a problem.
You can do this. If you can workout so hard you are obviously very strong minded. Just think of defeating the agoraphobia as another exercise. Set small goals and go from there.

Anybody else starting the P90X challenge on Monday?

Onederchic 08-29-2009 07:44 PM

Thanks borntobefine

I didn't even realize the previous thread had been closed until I tried to edit my entry & the editing option didn't appear. :-( I just keep editing my entry all month, rather than creating new ones for each day.

I've spent the summer working out every other morning at the tiny, clean & rather upscale gym two blocks from my new apartment. (On the days when I work in Connecticut, I use the company gym, which is tiny, not so clean, and a little beat up since the recession-related budget cutbacks.)

Update: I canceled my college gym membership. They raised the price by 20% over last semester! Anyway, belonging to two gyms at the same time was excessive. I cannot justify that expense.

Aug. 29: One hour bike, weights
Aug. 30: Five miles on treadmill, abs work
Aug. 31: 25 minutes recumbent bike, 35 minutes upright bike, weights (the regular stationary bikes were all taken tonight; suddenly everyone was working out in the company gym!)

Sept. 1: One hour elliptical, abs work
Sept. 2: One hour bike, weights
Sept. 3: One hour elliptical, abs work
Sept. 4: One hour bike, weights
Sept. 5: 30 minutes elliptical, 30 minutes bike, walked around the Village for part of the day
Sept. 6: One hour bike, weights
Sept. 7: Ran just over five miles on treadmill
Sept. 8: One hour bike, weights
Sept. 9: One hour bike, weights
Sept. 10: One hour bike, abs work
Sept. 11: One hour elliptical, weights
Sept. 12: 30 minutes elliptical, 30 minutes bike, abs work, walked around Village for several hours

Onederchic 08-30-2009 10:55 AM

Awesome work, saef!! :cheer2::cb:

Just finished 20 minute cardio interval (with 5lb handweights)

Yes he is very cute a little young for me (I hear he is only 22) but cute. I am always attracted to older men in their 30's & 40's. I love the Graham Norton show it's so funny, we have nothing like him in the US. He does the funniest stuff like the time he had that guy go for a wax (back, crack & sack) or the speed dating one I was laughing so hard I was crying. I never know who any of his guests are but it's still loads of fun.

(On the days when I work in Connecticut, I use the company gym, which is tiny, not so clean, and a little beat up since the recession-related budget cutbacks.) Now that the school year has commenced, I'll be able to use the college gym, also in my neighborhood, because I'm an alumna. The college gym has small but wonderful facilities, including a big pool, but it keeps college student hours on the weekends. (It doesn't open till 11 AM.) So I may end up paying for memberships in two different gyms (the college & the little neighborhood gym), which seems excessive, but it's the only way I can see to getting use of a gym in the early morning hours on weekends when I want to clear the rest of the day for other activities.

Aug. 30: Five miles on treadmill, abs work

Great workouts! Woohoo!

Thanks! :o My friends and I went for a hike (in Lake Louise, in the Rocky Mountains in Alberta, Canada) and I sugested we could get some nice photos of us doing yoga with a beautiful backdrop. Because really, the lake, the mountains, the sky--it's gorgeous! So every time we stopped we took pictures of us doing yoga. I have a couple pictures of my friends doing tree pose, triangle pose, etc. The best was when we hiked partway around the lake and my friend was tired and cranky and convinced she didn't want to keep going, since the rest of the hike was a couple kilometres almost straight up. We did some yoga poses and she was ready to hike again!

I can't recommend yoga enough. It can be pricey at yoga studios, but my gym offers yoga as part of its class program. And there are pay-what-you-can classes ("karma classes") at some studios, and community centres often offer yoga too. I loooove my yoga classes. As I've lost weight, my poses have improved. It's partly from practicing regularly, but it's also partly that's there's less of me in the way. ;)

Note for the curious: Lake Louise is very close where that squirrel photo that got so popular was taken, too. (It was taken in Lake Minnewaka.)
