I give myself a break every week. I do 3 days exercise, 1 day rest, etc . Resting is imperative for your body, in my opinion. I know it is hard cause on my day of rest I too feel I should be doing something but then I remember it is rest day so I just relax and pamper myself, lol . Enjoy the day and let your body have the needed break

15--Walked back from downtown, 6.5K

Double-posting because I didn't go back and the read until after I updated my exercise for the last few days.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calgary_Stampede

Some aspects are similar to a lot of summer festivals (the food, the midway, the concerts) but there are some things that are unique, as far as I know (the Grandstand show, and the many rodeo-type races, like the chuckwagon races). It's just one of those things that you do when you come to Calgary, like how you have to see the Eiffel Tower when you go to Paris--except that Stampede is only on for a couple weeks a year. My friends have lived here for 8 years and this is the first time I've made it for Stampede. Yay!

wheww naked mango..I agree with chic..you are a machine lol.

well, I took a nap after eating a good protein/carb meal. And my inner thighs and the strangest place I've ever had be sore...the love handle spot. I don't know if it's the external obliques or the top of my glutes (that sit right beneath) actually hurt less. I mean I could walk around without wincing again.

which is wierd because I did a weighted ab twist. Holding one 5 lb weight in front of me with both hands. and then each time I came up I reached to a different side. I did 26 reps. They didn't hurt at the time at all. but boy do i feel it now.

i know my muscles pretty well, but I'm not sure which one that worked exactly? any body know for sure?

good job chic!!! woohoo.

Finsihed - 30 minutes Gold's Gym Cardio

I attempted the in game version of jump rope for the first time. I only did 5 minutes and holy moly, that was the longest five minutes of my life

I don't know if I just fliped my lid or what...but I"m thinking of doing the 30 DS level 1 today. I ususally have to develop my own routine so I can get all the muscles incorporated into my routine I feel need it the most.

I got the 30 ds and I watched the level 1. She is very thorough. And i love her attitude. I move so fast through my moves--I already circuit train a little. I learned that from Cindy Crawford a long time ago. I don't think I will be able to do it with my 5lb weights though.

I"m still a little sore in a wierd place, but I already know that as long as I am getting a total body workout and not focusing on ripping a certain group--I can do the routine daily. tears or no tears. I take a break when I feel too many muscle groups are sore. For example my abs, shoulders and inner thighs were sore so I took a break.

I"m torn between doing free dance for cardio and one of my other weight routines and just doing the 30 ds level 1.

well, I did the 30 ds. I personally don't like the workout. I thought I would. But I really don't. I like doing cardio and weights seperately. I just don't feel I am devoting enough time to my muscles. I am not a cardio lover true...but I do cardio at lower intensity and it works for me.

I sweat just as much trying to perform some club dance moves. And that really works the abs too. I am glad I got it out of my system--I might do it on a day I want to really push cardio.

But for now I got in 20 minutes of high cardio. done for the day!
