total 8 today (run and stroller walk)

:)

ennay 07-14-2009 10:48 PM

I've been kinda out with pinkeye and a double ear infection. did my mile yesterday to keep the streak alive. Around 5:30 tonight the antibiotics started to kick in and I was just thinking "shoot, but now I have to cook dinner" when dh called stuck at work. Kids had a blast watching videos and eating cereal & yogurt for dinner while I got 6 on the treadmill.

and I dont feel the slightest bit guilty about it.

Shannon in ATL 07-15-2009 08:20 AM

+1.5 Monday
+1.5 Tuesday

slowly... :)

Mrs Snark 07-15-2009 10:00 AM

My goodness ennay -- pinkeye AND double ear infection, that's rough! I hope that all clears up soon!

+3.25 mile intervals run this morning...

ennay 07-15-2009 03:50 PM

10.9 in the blazing sun. blah.

midwife 07-16-2009 09:22 AM

Glad you're better, ennay! And hey, yogurt and cereal ain't bad. If it's good enough for breakfast, it's good enough for dinner.

3.2 miles today

 at the visual!

+3.1 yesterday, treadmill HIIT
+6 today, stationary bike

I have really got to get back outside... I think about it every day, then I look at the weather for the day and change my mind...

ennay 07-16-2009 12:21 PM

arrrrrghhhhh. Now it is in my throat and lungs. Persistant little bacteria. Contemplating taking the antibotics but I dont want to.

Shannon in ATL 07-16-2009 12:49 PM

Ennay - sorry you are having such a hard time! Summer is a terrible time to be sick...

midwife 07-17-2009 08:56 AM

3 miles today....at 6 am it was 73 degrees. I like the heat (will be 100 today) but I don't like to run at the high temp....so it is good motivation to get my rear out of bed. I was dripping with sweat when I got home. Woohoo!

MaryEllen 07-17-2009 09:17 AM

I am currently in Europe and I have basically walked everywhere...but I have no idea how far. Maybe 20 miles in 2 weeks? I'm going to guesstimate...I know it's not official but it's something!

Shannon in ATL 07-17-2009 04:45 PM

+4.5 today, treadmill

kittycat40 07-17-2009 08:24 PM

I am adding 4 from today and wed.

pics, what pics?? ;)

EZMONEY 07-18-2009 12:31 AM

EZMONEY 07-19-2009 02:28 PM

307/1000 MILES

Dianeofnka 07-19-2009 08:05 PM

No idea when the last time I updated was, but...

+17 for the past week.

I realize I've slowed down mileage-wise a whole lot in the past month (since the marathon). I guess this is to be expected, but I still feel like I am uber-slacking.

Mrs Snark 07-20-2009 09:14 AM

+ 3.5 miles today, including a treadmill pr for a 5k for me, yippee!

ennay 07-20-2009 10:07 AM

finally a real run today just under 7. Been plodding through 1 mile/night on the TM to keep the streak alive. 90 days today.

One thing I have noticed with vacation is how much easier on my body afternoon running is. All the achies are warmed up and no stress on the tendons. I wish I could run in the afternoon more often...like ever!

kittycat40 07-20-2009 10:15 PM

+ 2 fri
+ 8 today

Jo, nice job on the pr
Ennay, :)

MBN 07-21-2009 05:53 AM

I've been out of the loop for a few weeks -- first on vacation, then playing catch up! I did more hiking (100.6 miles!) than running during my vacation, but I did add some running mileage, plus last week's: now 643 miles YTD.

midwife 07-21-2009 09:08 AM

That's some impressive hiking, MBN!

Diane & Mary Ellen, nice to see you guys!

WTG on the pr, Jo!

And what a streak, ennay!

I am so impressed with all of us!!!

EZ, I counted a bike ride so that's what catapulted my miles....now I feel like that was cheating.

3 miles today!

Shannon in ATL 07-21-2009 10:01 AM

+1.75 last night

midwife 07-22-2009 09:15 AM

3 this morning!

kittycat40 07-22-2009 10:33 AM

+6 today

Mrs Snark 07-22-2009 10:50 AM

+ 5.07 miles run this morning...

ennay 07-22-2009 10:30 PM

10 today, 4 yesterday. I keep forgetting to post. I should just pick a day and post for the week.

midwife 07-23-2009 08:58 AM

Guess how far I ran today?

No really.... guess!

Did you guess 3 miles? You would be correct!!!!

Clearly I should up my mileage one of these months.

ennay 07-23-2009 09:25 AM

midwife...cmon go for 3.5!

Shannon in ATL 07-23-2009 03:51 PM

And again forgot to post for a few days... :)

+2.0 Tuesday, Treadmill
+3.5 today, also treadmill

Can I count seemingly endless laps pushing my lawnmower? :)

sm177 07-23-2009 10:57 PM

yeah midwife, 3.5! come onnnnn!:carrot:

ladies i am in loooove with my bike. my days have also been revolving around the tour de france coverage. and dreaming about climbing hills until i feel like i may faint. of course i'm still running too, headed to SF tomorrow morning for my half marathon.:carrot:. wish me luck!

Mrs Snark 07-24-2009 09:05 AM

SM - Good luck at the Half, I'm sure you'll do great! I love biking also, though I have no desire to climb hills until I faint. I'm not that masochistic, lol!

Midwife -- aren't you training for a half right now? I thought you runs were getting longer there for a while!

+ 5.25 mile run this morning...

midwife 07-24-2009 09:36 AM

My plans for the half and/or a full have died. I just can't (ok, won't) scrape out the time for the training. I feel like I am treading water in my life and doing good to keep my face out of water....Le sigh.

SM!! Great to see you!!!
Good luck!!!

Okay, I am considering 3.5....do I need to carb load? Run with carb gels? Hide water bottles on the route? I will map out a 4 mile run for tomorrow! Yeah!

ennay 07-24-2009 01:27 PM

no rush midwife, when you really want to do a half you will find the time.

Shannon in ATL 07-24-2009 06:16 PM

Midwife - I had to drop my vision of a half as well, as I also never found time to even start training for it. I'm thinking Ennay is right - when we really want to do it we will make the time. :) sorry things are hectic for you right now!

+2.35 this morning

midwife 07-25-2009 09:39 AM

I did a half last fall and lived to tell the tale. This summer has been way busier though. You guys are right though....when it is time, it will happen. Always seasons in life. My motto is "I can do ANYthing, but not EVERYthing."

midwife 07-25-2009 10:45 AM

4.1 miles today, baby!! Woot!

EZMONEY 07-25-2009 01:15 PM

:carrot: Miles are miles! Come on dear...you know it's not about rules and regulations around here....just get up and MOVE!!! Heck...if I had my way I'd give you some *extra credit-bonus mile* just for attitude! :)

SM I hope the trip to SF was outstanding for you!

LADIES....Angie had started back running again, wanting to do the Rock and Roll marathon next year with my daughter...or at least the half....she told me this morning she just can't continue....same old story, her knees...so it's back to walking for her.

Angie and I got in 3 this morning with the spoiled brats.

310/1000 MILES

Mrs Snark 07-25-2009 01:32 PM

+ 3.10 mile run this morning.

EZ - Can she walk the half or the full, I think that would as much fun as running it (maybe more, you can carry a beer without sloshing it)...
