Waahh! I am back from vacation now! :)
I will add up my running miles and count in the hikes and maybe a couple of back and forths to the lake and IN the lake and so on and so forth and be back in the am-- after my commuter run, that is :) |
I haven't posted in a while, but I'm still tracking! 742 miles YTD. My pace has slowed in the summer due to vacations and other activities, but I'm still on track to make the 1000 miles by the end of the year.
|
+2.56 miles of intervals on the beach this morning while the sun was rising. Very nice, but SWEATY.
|
+ 2.43 miles on treadmill taking it easy after a crushing leg workout. I was so wobbly it wasn't funny.
|
+ 3.13 miles this morning...
|
3 today. Twas dark and there was a chill in the air. :( Alas, summer, I loved you so.
|
Hi chicks!! I am starting the week with some serious mileage to bump my ticker up to where it should be.
18 for this week so far. last several weeks were lower than I had planned but not insurmountably so. just a quick little story-- this morning I was a bit tired from the prior workout so I figured I would take a shortcut route to work. Well, I entered the park and turned right insted of left and found myself taking a very longcut to work. AND I FEEL GOOD. :) happy hump day :) |
+2.8 yesterday
Nothing formal for Monday, cut my grass and though I did about 50 laps of my yard I don't think it added up to much! |
+2.05 miles of HIIT this morning...
|
+3.

+3.
Hey I'm running in a 5K next Saturday. It is the community open 5K before the University's invitational XC meet. Lest year my goal was less than 30 minutes and I did it in 28+ I believe. I think my goal is the same this year. :0) |
I'm up to 530 this morning and will be adding another 5-6 at the track this afternoon.
Midwife - you're fast! My goal for any race is just to finish. :D |
+3.6 miles Saturday and 5 miles on Sunday...
Good luck this coming Saturday, Midwife, that sounds like fun! |
+ 6 miles this morning. Longest run I've done in a while, I've been focusing more on intervals/HIIT and biking recently.
I can't wait for the weather to cool off, it was 99% humidity this morning, like running through soup. |
Hey Dixie, LOVE your new avatar/profile shots. You are just spectacularly gorgeous!

I want to start doing strength training with those exercise tv shows and every 20 mins will count a mile. Does that sound reasonable? |
I agree, Dixie! You are gorgeous!!!
3.5 miles today. My quads felt like lead bricks glued to my femurs due to a particularly evil weight workout last night but I did it! Thanks for the well wishes for the race coming up...The boys high school varsity race begins 45 minutes after the community race, so I have great motivation to get my rear through the course in a timely fashion, lest I be mowed down. |
Ya'll are too sweet! :o
3 miles of walking today for me, it's my active rest day. Midwife - large groups behind you are really motivating. In the St. Patricks day run the Marine platoons are started last, running in formation and calling cadence. It kept me going, the thought of being run over by Marines. :D |
I would be so motivated if Marines were after me! Motivated to step to the side and enjoy the view as they pass.
3 miles today! |
772 miles year to date ... still tracking!
|
+ 2.44 miles easy run yesterday on the treadmill...
|
+6 wed, +4 today
|
+1.5 Tuesday, elliptical
+3.1 today, treadmill |
+ 3.3 miles this morning...
|
I just read back and realized I missed an entire page!
Midwife - your 5k is this weekend, right? Good luck! :) Dixie - I noticed the new pic, too - gorgeous! Tyler - love the ocean in the background in your pic! Kitty - 20 mins = 1 mile sounds reasonable. Can I count 1 mile for mowing my lawn? I make lots of laps back and forth in the yard! :) I did a side by side comparison of my elliptical & my treadmill yesterday... I did 1.25 miles in 12:30 on the treadmill, to get the same distance according to my formula on the elliptical took almost 20 minutes... The makes of my treadmill say that 300 revolutions of the wheel are a mile, I've been using 1000 as my mile figure based on my formula using the circumference of the wheel and the distance it turns. There is a mixed school of opinion on the web - lots of folks posted the 1000 revolutions = 1 mile using the same formula I used, others swear that the 300 revs = 1 mile is totally accurate. I would be so much further along in my mileage if I believed that 300 revs = 1 mile! :) Good day everyone! |
+8 today, of which I ran 6.75(3.25 & 3.5 with a .5 warmup, .25 in between, .5 cooldown). My best run ever, and I attribute a lot of that to the woman's running club I met around mile 5.5 cheering me on every time we crossed paths. (We were going opposite directions on the track.) Something invigorating about people clapping when you pass! :)
I have to register for a formal event soon... |
3.2 today. My 5K! I'll write about it tomorrow.
|
yayyyy midwife!:carrot: can't wait to hear about it
|
+5.1 miles today...
|
:trampo: Jumping back into the  gorgeous girls  thread to report my miles.
been really busy with work and sick. Feeling well now and work is less stressful as we near completion, of a large project, on my end. Angie and I have been taking the dogs out after dinner for a couple of miles most nights this past week and went out in the mornings this week-end before work, yoga and church. You are all doing so well! Miss those highschool cross country days Baby Catcher...such fun watching the kids all those years! 343/1000 MILES |
