wk2d1 done! I am new to the thread and a RE starter on this program. Last time (about 2 years ago) I made it to the 5th week then life intervened... Last nights run was hard, but rewarding. I am not sore today and was thinking about running again but glad I saw all the cautionary tales on here. Maybe I will just do an incline workout instead... Thanks ladies!

Hi! I just started this program yesterday. I was a runner previously, but haven't been in over 4 years. I've tried, but never succeeded at keeping up. I'm hoping that following the C25K will keep me on track. My first day was easy, but I didn't push myself. I'm taking is easy this first week and hopefully stay on plan!

Paperclippy... I am still here.

Jamie Jo - 7mph That would . My little legs couldn't do that! I can barely manage 5 mph for a few minutes at the end of my running segments.

I did finish W6D3 yesterday I am going by time too. I am a little slow. I seem to be off by about a 1/4 mile or so. I would like to do a 5k on 11/29 but I am thinking about looking for another one in December. I am doing the program on the treadmill and would like to get a few outside runs in before trying a 5k.

I haven't repeated any weeks yet, but I might finish the program and then drop back to redo week 6-9.

Is there anyone else doing the program on the mill? I see this talk about doing a tri - is anyone thinking of doing a 10K or even a half?

Wish me luck - W7D1 on tap for tomorrow morning. - I can do this - I can do this - I will do this - I will do this.

Hey ladies! Congrats to all of you starting the program and those of you getting close to the end!!!

I did week 7 day 3 last night and I just can't believe myself. I am officially a runner. It's so crazy for me to say that!!! Any of you reading this thinking you could never be a runner, TRY THIS OUT!

Such a good day today... that may have to do with the fact that the scale said 165.5 on Tuesday but this morning I'm back down to 160.2 (where I am typically sitting at.... )

Had a friends birthday dinner/drinks last night. Scheduled it a little late so I could get my run in for wk2d2 YAY! I was actually excited to run. Wk2d2 wasn't nearly as bad as the last session...

I had a false start on my run this morning. My knee was bugging me a little, but I decided to go anyway to see if it would loosen up. Well, it didn't loosen up, so after about 12 minutes I stopped running and walked the rest of the way (I was supposed to be doing a 25-min run). I'm kind of annoyed, but I iced my knee and hopefully it will be okay next week.

Paperclippy - good luck with that knee -Hopefully some ice and rest and you will be as good as new.

Jamie Jo - congrats on finishing week 7. I did W7D1 Friday morning. I plan on doing W7D2 tomorrow morning. It is going to be a hectic day. Niece and Nephew are spending the night and we have a birthday party to go to tomorrow.

OK - I did W2D1 today - felt good.

Bearing in mind last week's injury, I ran very carefully today - I shortened my stride - I think I might have been overstretching it, so I jogged rather than ran.

I can feel a little something in the calf that I injured but it's more of a slight stiffness rather than a pain, so that's good. So as my muscle gets used to running again I think I will be able to gradually increase my stride until I am running properly.

I think my legs are just rebelling and going "What? Us? Run? I don't think so!"

The weather was lovely today - chilly but not too breezy and very sunny. Tomorrow is forecast to be heavy rain, but Tuesday looks to be nice so I can go out on Tuesday and do W2D2.

Thanks Tina, I did w7d1 yesterday and my knee was fine for the whole 25 minutes.

It is getting darn cold out there. My shopping spree at the running store got me outfitted pretty well, but I still need to wear multiple pairs of pants.

Did W2D2 today.

Ready for the "eww" factor?

I kept peeing myself whenever I ran! Never done that before. I think I'll have to go out in an incontinence pad next time!! That and/or NOT have a big mug of coffee before I go running.

But it was good. Aside from the peeing.

LOL Robsia, I always go running in the morning after going to the bathroom and before I've had anything to eat or drink.

Week 7 day 2 for me today. It was easier than Monday. I stopped using the podcasts since I don't need the cues since there are no more walk intervals. It's nice to run to my own music! My dog was acting up though, probably because it was so cold out. I wore three pairs of pants, two shirts, a fleece sweatshirt, gloves, and a hat, and was pretty comfy.

Edit - my gross-out factor is that now that it's so cold, my nose runs like crazy when I'm running!

W2D3 out of the way!

And no peeing! I went before I left our house, and then I went before I left my parents' house, where I drop the baby off before I go running.

And I wore a pad just in case - lol!!

Today was good - my calf was feeling better so I extended my stride a little more and it didn't hurt at all. I also got a stitch for the first time in about a zillion years - only a little one though and it went away quite quickly.
