Diva-
The trick is -- you go in COLUMNS. Not rows!

SO! For week 1, if you tested at 1 to 5 pushups -
you do the first column UNDER the up to 5 pushups header
The LEVEL refers to your SET!

So, for day 1 of week 1, you tested at say 3 pushups,
go down the first column as follows:
2 pushups, rest 60s
2 pushups, rest 60s
2 pushups, rest 60s
2 pushups, rest 60s
AT LEAST 3 pushups but MORE if possible - do'em until you can't do anymore

Everyday is composed of 5 sets.
So day 2 of week 1 is : 4, 3, 2, 2 and at least 4.

In my mind I replace the word LEVEL on the left hand column with SETand then it makes MUCH more sense!

I just did my first day yesterday. I did Week 1, Day 1, Level 1 with regular pushups. I was able to do 4 on my max, for a total of 12.

Do you think you will be able hit sets of 50 in five weeks? This is a really tough program. I can do 20 push ups now, but I can't imagine I will ever manage 50 at this bodyweight.

Now, if I hit my goal weight, 100 push ups is a very reasonable goal.

Robert - I never thought I'd be able to do it either! but here I am on week 3, and on Monday (w3,d1) I managed to do 84! Granted they were in sets.. but in the beginning my initial test I could do 12 and after week 2's test I did 23! so it is working!!! Just stick with it!

Week 1 day 2 (9-8-6-5 then 10)=38 push up. Gang, I didn't think this old girl could do 38 push ups. Granted they are wall push ups, but still progress for me. I will do the challenge over again doing girlie push ups when I finish this challenge. I want shapely arms and shoulders in my Christmas dress. hahahahaha

Eny~Are you doing regular form push ups? 99 push ups girl you rock!! Pat

I'm doing girly ones too, because 1. I am not a man, and 2. I am a girl. :P hehe. I'd love to be able to do them the manly way one day, and even 1 arm like Jillian does. But whatevs, I am happy with what I can do.

Finished up Week 1, day 3 today. Didn't think I could get through 48 of them bad boys but I did. I was sore for a while, but I feel fine now.

I did week 3 day two today
I had to take three days off to recover after week 3 day one.
Apparently 100 pushups (And I do the man style ones) is really hard.

Today was 106 pushups total and it didn't seem as hard as Monday.
So either I was majorly sucking on my form
or I am getting stronger.

I did notice some really nice pecs coming in (yay for perkier boobage!) and some really good muscles showing up along my forearms. Which, I had no idea you used your forearms in a pushup but hey, whatever!

Here's hoping I can do week 3 day 3 on Monday!
