My beloved 17-year-old kitty went into kidney failure last week and I've spent most of my time with her. THis morning I had to put her down. I've kept running and biking for the stress relief though I can't say it is helping much.

It is so sad to lose a cherished pet. When I lost my 2 dogs I felt like an era had ended.

I still get teary when I talk about them. (I got them together in 1993 lost the first to kidney failure two years ago and the second to doggie lymphoma this past winter.)

Even if you don't feel like exercising is a help those endorphins are still floating around. Imagine feeling even worse On second thought, no don't.

Jo - I'm so sorry. Losing a pet is definitely losing a member of the family.

I'm up to 264.04 miles now. Yesterday's 4 miler even included one less than 10 minute mile, which for me is really good!

+ 3 = 165.5. I am always reamazed at how great I feel running after taking 2 days off. I am springy and have a great stride. So fun!

Midwife, that is one of the reasons I prefer to run ever other day. I generally feel fresh for each run if I do cross training on the day in between. When I was training for the half marathon and running several days in a row I hated the draggy feeling of fatigue I was getting towards the end of the week.
