Got home from work a little eary today so I hoped on the treadmill for 4.5 miles. Angie will walk the dogs to the vet this afternoon, if I get home from a little side job I will add a couple more later!
I am going to set a goal of running 45miles this month. I reached 48miles in April, but May is going to be difficult. With work and end of the school activities, not to mention house guests, it is going to be a challenge. I am starting to use running as an excuse to be alone! Who'da thunk it??!?!
I'm here, just had a long stressful day. The washer exploded this AM and flooded my kitchen! Just glad the day is over now
Still got in my run, a short one but it still counts. Did 2.5 miles total. I am planning on 50 miles for this month but secretly I'd like 60. Guess that isn't much of a secret now, is it? LOL!
hi im new not done this before, gonna aim high.... gonna aim for about 70 miles walking/running.
starting yesterday i did 3 miles walking plus prob about 2.5 running
and today im going to do another 2 miles
= 7.5/70
Sorry about the washing machine CAT ...that had to burn off a few cals. though
I had the day off so I took the dogs, 2 golden retrievers, to the duck pond and trails. We did a little over 3 miles but I am not sure if it was worth it! All the chasing, running, biting, hissing and growling...man those ducks are mean!
After that I did a warm-up ~ 5K ~ and a cool down on the treadmill.
I'm currently training for a 5K on June 1st, and if I stick to my schedule I'll get in 48 miles of running. I'm hoping to do at least 5-7 miles per week of walking as well, since I really love to walk. So my goal for May is 70 miles total.
I ran 3 miles yesterday, and 1 today, and just got back from a 2 mile walk.
Welcome coldbrightday ...a man might sneak in here from time to time
Angie had Saturday school so the mutts and I did the Starbucks "walk" by since they won't let my girls in the joint! Added a lap around bunny poo park and an extra loop since it was such a beautiful morning, sunny and 68 degrees.
3 miles for me today. Did my fastest 2 miler as well in 21 minutes flat. Woo hoo. Now if only i could get more endurance so I can add mileage Eventually, I suppose it will happen.
I'll start first with a big WELCOME to all the newbies. I know Rennie, you are not new to exercise, just this thread. Good luck to all of you this month!
Gary, You're off to a great start. Bunny Poo Park is one of your favorites have you come up with a snappy name for the duck pond??? Hope you're enjoying your weekend.
cakeses, you're off to a great start. 2 miles in 21 minutes is awesome!!! The endurance will come, because you're so determined. Another 3FC friend had her washer hose come lose and flood the room last week too. Small world eh?
Great work Baskgal.
As for me. My plan of logging hours rather than miles really paid off and I still ended up doing 70.5 miles in April plus a whole lot of yoga and other stuff that was good for both my body and soul and I lost a pound. I was able to spend a lot more time exercising with my children!
Anyhoo...I'm challenging myself to 31 hours this month. It's been all about dance recital for my youngest daughter so I'm off to a slow start, but the sunshine this morning is giving me a renewed sence that yes, spring is coming!!! Our entire school 4k-12th grade participated in a walk for Junior Diabetes Fri followed by dancing, vb, and flag tag. I spent 3 hours active with the kids so I'm counting 1 1/2 for May. It was a huge success. The kids raised $5200. Not bad for a little school.
Enjoy your Sunday!!
Angie and I are going to late service at church today, last of the nieces getting confirmed, so we did a Starbucks and Bunny Poo Park walk with an extra loop for 4 miles. Such a beautiful morning here on the southern California coast
CAT ~Faster times ~ more miles ~ a work in progress ....reminds me of training for that marathon, at first 5 and 9 mile days were killers! but in a short time, with training, they became a piece of cake!
LOVNMOM ~Ha! No I don't have a name for the duck pond...I will work on that! We don't get over there much, although we trained there for a 2006 Turkey Trot 5K. It isn't far, maybe 5 miles. I remember those dance recitals well, my daughter and nieces! Enjoy the time with them while they are young!
Hope everyone is having a great week-end
21/75 MILES
