L, Our weather here has been just gorgeous as well. We've been so busy with all the end of the year school events, but me and the children have been taking full advantage of the spring weather. We know it will turn to hot hot summer over night.

Coldbright, Great job on the exercise. Hang tough on the menu. You'll get there.

Gracey, I tend to back slide when I get nearer goal. We'll help push each other across the line this time!!

Rennie, Terrific job as always!!

Gary, Our weather is so nice 3 on the TM would be murder. Way to go. Too bad about your pooches paw. My doggie went 3 on the bike trail with me yesterday. Spring is setting in for her too. I can walk her leashless and after the birdies and bunnies she goes.

As I mentioned 3 miles on the bike trail yesterday for another 45 min. I also played bean bag toss outside with the children while I folded 6 loads of laundry at the picnic table. Then I even convinced my overworked hubby to play two games with us. We were outside together for two hours and needless to say supper was way late, but it was great. I'm counting that two hours as 30 min. I was multitasking AND got the entire family involved. It should count for something!!!

12 hours of 31 hours

Thanks, lovnmom! I'm back on track with my eating habits the last few days and feeling much better.

Ran two miles and walked two this morning. Would've liked to run 4 but I stayed up way too late last night and just couldn't do it first thing in the morning. Maybe tonight.

Have a good weekend, everybody!

My son's second grade class spent the entire day biking and playing at the park. It was a blast. We biked 12 miles total, played bocci ball and bean bag toss. It's amazing the difference in their endurance levels. Some had to stop every 3/4 of a mile to take a drink and rest and then others, like my DS and his friends, had to have their own adult because they were so far ahead. I suppose some never leave the driveway on their bikes. A beautiful partly sunny, breezy day. Perfect! On my own I ride about 3 miles in 20 min so I'm logging 1 hour for today's adventure.

EZ
Sure hope the dog is ok.

Thanks . Wow you had a busy day. Sounds like great fun. Out in the drive on their bikes, heck there are some kids their parents never make leave in front of the tv or computer.

coldbright
Wow ran that many miles. I don't think I could run that far unless a bear was running behind me. Way to go.

Today has been pretty good. Got a lot done and took the dog to the vet. Poor thing hasn't been able to walk on her back legs. They think what happened is that she bolted after a rabbit and messed up a nerve in her back. She has developed arthritis ( not uncommon for a dog much younger than she is and she is 14 years old, just a problem labs get ). They put her on a different mead and a pain killer and I have to take her back in a week. I sure hope these meads make the poor old thing feel better. For now, I take her outside several times a day to do her business because she can't walk on the back legs.

Today Total Miles 69.4 Goal Miles 132

1. WATP 2 Mile High Calorie Burn ( 32 min )
2. WATP Express 2 Mile Brisk Walk ( 32 Min )
3. WAH Slim Fast Start 1 & 2 Mile Walk ( 35 Min )

Since Angie and I couldn't take the dogs on a Starbucks run this morning, because Reba's foot is still sore, I did 5 miles on the treadmill when she went to bell choir practice at church. After I vacuumed of course!

SHY ~Way to get up and going this morning! thanks for asking about Reba...if I can keep her from licking her foot she will be fine in a few days.

LOVNMOM ~ Sounds like a lot of "playing" going on around your house and the school...are you sure you can call that a work-out?

TOYS ~ those miles are really adding up great job!

COLDBRIGHTDAY ~ Keep up the good work!

DIXIE'S MOM ~ ha! that is a Dr. Seuss Fox in Socks that my girls are tearing up. I buy stuffed animals from Kohl's for $5, the money goes to a kids charity...my dogs have fun and the kids benefit!

73/75 MILES

Rennie and Gracey, Great jobs as usual. Woo hoo!!

Um Gary, you think bike riding with 2nd graders is playing....yesterday our little village held their annual "Old Fashion Day." The entire down town is blocked off. Vendors fill the streets, city wide garage sales, kid's games, bed races (drunks push beds on rollers down the main street, stop change the sheets and down a 12oz beer, push some more, stop again change the "baby's" diaper (usually the most drunk teammate) and down another 12 oz beer and then continue onto the finsh line). It's all good clean "white trash" fun. I as the Cub Master in town run a "box" car derby race. The car is a box we decorate. The children hold them and run 3 laps. Lap 1. their pit crew washes their windshield ( a spray in the face and a paper towel dry off ) Lap 2. they refuel ( drink 8 oz of water ) The 3rd Lap they change tires ( exchange their shoes for firemen boots ) The kids have a blast. I always offer High School kids a dollar to run it for our entertainment etc...my in-laws donate cool medals for 12 winners etc...My son's in the Troop and they ran a car bash (remove all the glass from an old car and let people pay you to beat on it with a sledgehammer ) Yes, young men are more than willing to pay so they can show off for the ladies. Anyway, I had a blast. Walked in the parade and back and forth running events etc.. from
9am - 6pm. So, even though it doesn't sound like much of a "workout" I'm counting an hour

Today, I'm off to Madison for the Cystic Fibrosis 10k. We've got a lot of youth in our group so I have no idea how many miles we'll actually walk. You are allowed to drop out at 2,4 or 6. I'll report later how many we get done!!!

Have just an awesome day you bunch of wonderful people!!

Up and at it early today. I've had such a long week of doing for others I've decided to surprise my hubby today. My mother's coming to stay with our children for the night. I'm going to pick the hubs up from work and whisk him somewhere...where we will end up I have no idea, but we will be soaking in a hot tub somewhere and not coming home until tomorrow.
Have an awesome Monday!
