I wanted to do a treadmill run and weights, but did an hour of back and biceps only because I was running late a bit and I had a splitting headache... The headache was from a sugar overdose the night before, you'd think I'd know by now
My goals for the year consist of: weight training (which I am starting out by doing at home) 3 times per week... cardio 3-5 times per week....
and I am going to start to get outside and do some walking/jogging to build some endurance and considering doing a mini marathon with my cousin this summer... I am not looking to place ... just do it, just finish it, just say I did it!!!!
Overall I guess this year is a year of firsts for me...
Bah. Irritated because my allotted running time got eaten up by a wicked migraine (I get them when I don't get enough sleep, and my parents got a call at 5am from their airline - we're housesitting - saying that their flight had been cancelled...so then I had to track them down, after spending half an hour hacking into their voicemail because i didn't get to the phone fast enough in the first place, all the while thinking that something was -really- wrong, etc...and their cell phones were off...).
Hopefully it will go away by tonight. If not, its an unofficial rest day and I'll make it up on Sunday.
Didn't get the walk in due to weather, work, and time constraints. But did just get done the Firm Tough Tape 2. Oh well, at least I did something, right? If energy (and memory) is there I'll try to do some of the Firm Ab workout tonight.
I didn't get home in time to run today as I'd planned, so I found another old step aerobics video, and this one really kicked my butt! I'd forgotten how much I liked the step about ten years ago. This one was "power step" so it had all these jumps and runs and hops and craziness and I swear I felt like I'd been running for an hour. I was sweatier than I am after any other workout I do, including running!
Back to running tomorrow -- the temperature's supposed to be in the 70s here!
