Good morning! It is official weigh in day on the Sugarbusters forum, and I was down from last week four pounds, but I only will count it as two since I had gained two before switching to my new Byetta pen. I was pleased. I hope the loss continues.

I just ate breakfast...a protein smoothie and some steel cut oatmeal. I am avoiding wheat and it seems to be helping. I already got my two mile walk in this morning, so its been a good morning so far.

I hope all is well with each of you. I will check in later!

JEANNE: Do you live near forest fires? You mentioned smoke... I hope everything is ok around you.

Morning all!

Another week and another pound gone! Whew-hoo! I hope I can keep up my losing streak through the wedding! I got a bit stressed out this weekend, as it looks like my nephew won't be here to be my ringbearer. His mom moved him to Oklahoma in June and isn't willing to take him out of school, even for a day. So that's a maid of honor, a bridesmaid, and now probably my ringbearer that will be missing on my important day.

Other than that, the invitations are almost complete (they are going out next Tuesday) and things are coming together!

I had a small splinter on the ball of my foot yesterday, think I got it but I'm going to watch it closely for awhile... Just what I need is an ulcer or something worse! Can't go to Curves this morning because of it, but i sure can do some Pilates floor work.

Hugs to all!

Howdy all and good afternoon almost here,,,

Monet ,,,seems like the whole state of washington is on fire now,,none right here so far and all are praying we will be skipped this year,,but all around us like 2 hours away are firers ,,so the smoke blows here and sure makes it ruff,,today is hazy but you can smell it in the air,, congrats on your wt loss also,,, am so glad that this pen is working for you,,I also think that the wt loss with the byetta comes and goes,,,and I think it is the pen,,,some are just better,,I know people who disagree but thats what I have found,,,I pick up a new one today and am hoping it will be as good as the last one,,the one before I stopped lossing altogether,,,then started to lose again with the last one,,,keep me posted on how you are doing,,it is so cool to be able to talk with someone else about the byetta and hear what it is doing for them,,,

My bs was 141 this morning and I just took it a few minutes ago and it was down to 91,,I ate a late night snack that was carbs and it does it everytime,,but thats ok I feel pretty good today,,,

Hope everyone else is doing well,,, to all and have a great day,,,Jeanne

Good morning! I need to get dressed and head out for my walk in a bit...but I am procrastinating. I slept ok, but I am just stiff and sore today.

ROSEY: The problem with the byetta is that it has to be kept at a cool temperature or it will lose its potency. It can be left out some, but if the warehouses that carry it handle it poorly, it can lose some of its potency before it gets into the hands of the consumer. If tested at the site it is made it, it would have been fine. The last pen I had kept my glucose levels down, it just did not give me the appetite suppression, and weight loss the previous pen had. I hope your doctor eventually hears about it and maybe will let you try it. It does amazing things for my weight loss, and energy levels. There is some evidence that it reverses damage to the pancreatic cells as well.

JEANNE: I have a friend from Washington. She is considering moving back...I think she is from near Bellingham. I hope the fires stop soon. It must be hard to have that acrid smell in the air all the time. I hope your new byetta pen is good. I think I ought to check the temp of my fridge shelf where I store it...just to make sure. This pen I have now is better than last month, but not as good as the first one. I am wondering if I should be moved up to the 10pen.

JOSIAN: Yay on that pound! Take care of your foot! I hate splinters! I always wear shoes now. I do have some funky ones called Vibram Five Fingers. They look like toe socks, but have a Vibram sole. I tend to draw comments whereever I go in them! I am sorry about the ringbearer. The most important folks will be there...you and him....

Hi all was MIA for a day or so,,,my phone lines got moisture in them from the swamp cooler and had to dry out before I could get on line,,,

Monet,,you are so right about the pen and how it works,,,makes me crazy but I believe like you it is how it is handled,,,I thought you were on a 10 pen,,the 5 stopped working for me after 2 months,,this one I got yesterday is the 3rd 10 for me and that is when I started to lose again,,when I went up to the 10,,,might be worth checking into,,,hope this one does good for you,,

Hi Rosey,,,I got your rain,,ha,,oh my God we can use it ,,,a cold front came in last night and it feels so good,,,and with all the fires the rain is a blessing,,,and yes most of us feel like crap breathing all that smoke,,,

Hi to you Josian,,,congrats on the wt loss,,,we try so hard so when that scale moves,,,wow,,,couldn't make you feel better,,,

Anyone else I missed hi to you and havea fabulous day,,,I am off to work,,later,,Jeanne

ROSEY: That was very good of you to bake for your hubby. And smart that you sent them out with him! I love cookies.... I find a piece of dark chocolate helps me when I want a treat. It has a fairly low GI, so it is ok on Sugarbusters.

JEANNE: Yes, I have been thinking I might do better on the 10 pen. I have kind of been waiting for the physcian's assistant to call me, but its been weeks since I heard anything from them.... I hope you got enough rain to help with the fires.

hi all!

Creations, I'm glad you are feeling better! It's nice to get back to normal life!

I've decided that it is indeed my missing wedding party members loss. Except for my nephew who is only 6, and really wants to be there, but his mother is being an old battleaxe. I guess I'll just have to send Matthew lots of pictures.

I have an appointment with the new endo on October 16th. EEK. Oh well, gotta do what I gotta do.

Hugs to all

I'm a couple of pounds lighter thru everything. Dr took the staples out, said I could start driving etc. But no lifting for another 2 weeks. So I can't do laundry but can cook,no sense.
Everyone have a nice holiday.

Have a great holiday week-end all,,,talk to you soon,,,Jeanne
