I was surprised to see a loss back down to 170.6 lbs this morning. I say I'm not eating healthy although I am still watching what I eat but just trying to keep calories around 1000 to 1200 calories. Not eating breakfast unless I'm really hungry for it. I'm eating when hungry and not by the clock.
I'm cooking shrimp scampi today with pasta and having broccoli with it. Then I will keep tuna salad in the fridge for a snack when I get hungry later in the evening to take my pills. This seems to be working right now. I do have a Protein shake for breakfast/brunch with my coffee. No diet foods. Just think regular foods are just as good. Will see if my lab works shows that is true since I have lab every 3 weeks.

Trish, I consider eating healthy eating meat and vegetables. Thats how I ate when I was trying to lose weight. Meat for protein and vegetables for fiber. I would like to eat that way again.
We didnt do well at the casino. I dont gamble anymore. DH didnt win but he enjoys playing the slots so he had fun, win or lose. He likes this casino because we get home faster, 20-25 minutes.
Im so glnad I can post here again. I dont know what caused that error message.
Carol Sue I have thought about going back to doing the same thing. Just eat meat and veggies and what is called keto friendly fruit such as berries. I used to like tuna but something changed and I don't like it as much as I used to, but could switch to chicken and egg salad. I made myself a salad with cottage cheese today but didn't like the after taste.

I like tuna but have to be in the mood for it. I love chicken salad but rarely have extra chicken to make it. DH makes egg salad but I only like it with warm freshly cooked eggs. I dont know how I got so picky.
DH has decided that the best tuna is Great Value from Walmart. He says it is bigger chunks than the brand names like Starkist or COS. One day in Walmart he was telling a group of ladies about it. it was so funny.
Today the scale was up .8 to 183.2. I have to do something before im back to 200. Yikes! I was down to 165 after my heart procedure.
I have an appointment with the new PCP on the 18th. My plan was to change my diet and get back to exercising to lower my A1c but I didnt do it. Im disappointed in myself. Ive stopped using MFP and dont pay attention to what im eating. this is how I got to 217 in the first place. imm out of control. I need to regain control.
I cant stop eating breakfast. i need the protein from the eggs to get me started in the morning. I cant give them up. Supper is my least favorite meal, but its most important to DH. He often goes without breakfast and lunch but has to have supper. I got into the habit of eating this way because I was active in the daytime and needed calories. i was inactive in the evening so didnt need calories. That kept me thin. But when I met DH i started eating supper. Adding a meal every day caused rapid weight gain. He told me to stop eating breakfast o lunch but I couldnt. I felt that I needed those calories for my body to run on. I never realized that my body could run on calories, stored. I didnt realize that I was having a very long Intermittant Fasting period and that was what was causing the weight control. Also,,DH always eats something before going to bed which I never did. He has, started sharing that with me. I always felt that it was important to go to bed with an empty stomach. If your body is busy digesting food it does not get to rest and repair. I dont know if these ideas of mine are really true.
Carol Sue Sounds like you are rethinking your woe just as I am. I've decided that I still enjoy my breakfast of eggs and bacon with a sl of toast. I tried giving up the collagen I was taking and have now gone back to it because my body needs it. It protects my joints and keeps me from losing my hair and I've noticed it really does help me with digestion so I will keep that. I use my protein shake as a creamer because they say I need plenty of protein.
I grew up not eating breakfast but now I seem to need it. I can be happy with just a salad with protein for our main meal. The problem is according to MFP, I don't always get up to 1000 calories so I have a small snack later around 5 or 6 pm and drink the rest of the protein shake I used in my 2 cups of coffee for breakfast. I guess I could have that with our main meal so I could eat just 2MAD.
I finally got back to my full exercise routine again today. I hope to do at least 4 or 5 days of those exercises each week. I kind of got away from all that when DS passed away. That has been really difficult because we were so close. I truly miss her. However, I do need to get back to my healthy woe and exercising. I want to a good quality of life again. My A1c is going to be up again and Primary isn't going to be too happy with that. I have until October 1st to get it back down if I can. Right now I am in the Pre-diabetic #s/
I'm getting ready to go for my infusion. It is so strange that this past 3 weeks seems like it has lasted forever. I guess because we were so busy. We usually get a week in there we don't have to do anything. No appointments etc. I spent 3 Mondays getting teeth cleaned and new fillings. Got a perm and then the car broke down and all that just made the 3 weeks seem so long. Oh I also had my yearly eye check up. Hopefully we are back on our regular routine starting with todays infusion.
Weight is still 172. Seems like I lose a lb and the bounce or stay there before losing more. I've decided I want to eat more low carb/low calorie woe. I am going to try to get into the swing of that again next week. I told DH that I don't like being in the Pre-diabetic range, I want to get my diabetic numbers back to normal again. Low carb/low calorie works best for me. I need to be more careful with the fruits and eat more cooked veggies.
Carol Sue Are y'all going to the casino for the fish y'all like? We are having pizza after my infusion. I will still have my non low carb days, but most of my days will be lower carb. Infusion days are always off days.

We are at rhe casino and just had our fish dinner. I would rather order something else but the fish is too much for 1 person so we share it.
Weight contiues to go up. 183.6 today. I hope I catch it soon. I dont want to go back to 200. I want to be 140. There, I said it. I have a doable goal.
Appointment with my NP was good. She hadn't heard that DS had passed away. I also learned that the lady who works in finance who had taken a leave of absence because her DH was worse, passed away this morning. He had pancreatic cancer. I think he had been in treatment a few months before DS was diagnosed. I also found out that I am on maintenance medicine and will be on it as long as it is working for me. We had a good visit.
Infusion went well too. I had them put the IV in my hand. I told the nurse that I am used to it now and it is easier to use my hand because my veins are easier to get so I want to use them from now on. I just might get the bruising gone from my arms.

I forgot to weigh this morning and now Ive eaten breakfast. i wont weigh after Ive eaten. Brodie wont let us hook him up to go outside so I sit in my recliner, and when he jumps up to sit with me we can hook the leash to him. DH wanted me to do that first thing so then i forgot to weigh. we are going to blame it on him. 🌝
Im glad you are doing so well with your treatment. Its too bad DS didnt do well, too.
DH was glad he didnt lose any money at the casino although he didnt win. He brought home the money that he took.
Weight up 2 lbs today to 174, but that will come back down in a day or two. I'm sure it was the pizza and perhaps sodium in it as well as being carby day.
Today I started back OP of low carb and IF. I just do better eating within 4 to 5 hr earing window and am going back to it. Will also eat more veggies than I have been. One more set of exercises to do and I will be through with them for today.
Carol Sue I'm sure Brodie will eventually get used to the leash. DH#2's Mother and aunt used to save money all year and went to Oklahoma to gamble once a year. I don't know what Aunties rule was, but Mother had the rule that when her gambling money was gone, she quit playing. However, she did come home with money many times.

Weight today is 183.4. Friday was 183.6. Now keep it going downward.
I have to discuss dinner with DH. I have a beef roast I can cook, or ground meat for meat loaf. Or we can go out. I would like to go out. Rodneys has stuffed pork chop today. DH likes that. I ate it twice and got sick both times. It was either the gravy or something in the stuffing that makes me sick. I wont order it again.
I want to eat whatever I want but smaller quantities.
I have been familiar with diabetes since childhood, as my grandmother has had type 2 diabetes for a very long time. It has always been important for our family to support her health, and the ability to Buy Mounjaro Online is incredibly useful. That is why I am now trying to support my own health through exercise and healthy eating.
Weight today was 171.6 lbs so it is back down and lower than the 172 I was Friday. FBG was back down to 98 this morning. So I know how I have to eat to make this work for me. Don't know how it will affect the cancer, but it has to be good when I can lose and get my bs back down in the healthy non-diabetic range. I don't have to do keto, but I do need to do low carb and doing it along with IF really is good for me.
Carol Sue Glad your weight is down and hope we can keep this going for us. I plan to make a meat loaf today unless DH wants it some other way. My plan is make meat loaf today and then take the left over later in the week and make spaghetti.
catadams Welcome. I have learned through the years to eat the foods I like but to work it into the amount of calorie/carb range that works for me. I learned years ago that just because someone says something is diabetic friendly doesn't mean it is something I can eat. This has been a learning process for me. I hope your grandmother can find a working journey for her.

We went to eat at Rodneys. On Sunday they have stuffed pork chip. I have had it twice before and got potty issues. Today was Third Time Is a Charm. I ordered it and got potty issues. I think its something in the stuffing. So I guess I cant order it again. It tastes good while im eating it.
