Thumbs up Goal!

Hip Hip Hooray!
Today's weigh-in showed a drop of 2 pounds, which puts me at 219. That was where I wanted to be at the end of the month! But hey, the sooner, the better, and I'll take what I can get.
I guess that means I'll have to tweak my goals a bit. I'm going to say 216 by May 29th... three pounds, three weeks. I'd like to hit 215, but with ToM coming up I'm trying to stay realistic. Besides, I always feel so good when I do better than I expect.

Okay, here was my food for the day (you'll notice I had the munchies... hey wait... I STILL have the munchies.... )

7:30am
1/2 cup black coffee
1 glass V8
2 eggs, scrambled with 1/4 cup feta cheese
2 slices dry whole wheat toast

1:45pm
1 can Diet Dr. Pepper
2 slices whole wheat bread w/mustard
1 slice LF bologna
1 slice American cheese
9 mini cheddar rice cakes
1 medium orange

7:00pm
2 glasses of water
1 serv. lasagna
1 serv. green beans
1/2 serv. honey wheat pretzel twists
1/2 serv. cheezits
2 slices pineapple

9:30pm
1/2 square of Grandma's cornbread with 1/2 tbsp margarine (can't resist Grandma's cornbread, it's just plain impossible)

That puts my calories at 1595 for the day, and like I said, I've still got the munchies. I might have some more rice cakes, or maybe some Wow! chips, which are both only 70 calories per serving.

I need to work on my water intake. It's hard when I have to be at work all day, because we're not allowed to have drinks on the floor. I can't wait until I get a real job... which could actually be next week. Everyone keep your fingers crossed for me!

No exercise for me today though, because it's rainy and yucky outside, and I feel lazy and drowsy and tired. But it's ok, tomorrow will still make it 4 days of exercise this week, and I'm ok with that. Sometimes sleep is just more important to me. Early day today and early day tomorrow, so I'm heading off to bed soon after I finish posting. At least that will keep me from eating!

Keep up the good work everyone! Have a great weekend!

Cool Gooood Morning

I didn't plan on being on-line at all this weekend but hubby left for a 30 mile bike ride about a half hour ago so I am alone this fine morning. The poor thing didn't hardly sleep a wink last night. I have a bad feeling about this ride, he hasn't ridden this far in a long time and is doing it on a new bike with guys that are used to this kind of mileage. He is not in the best shape right now, he could stand to loose 20 lbs and I really wish he'd quit smoking! I don't mind the occassional cigar but I hate the cigs! His father passed away a few years ago way too young of a heart attack. It bothers me.... sorry for the unloading, once I start I can't stop. Thanks for listening.
I had a lazy day yesterday. Cleaned the house, did some laundry nothing too strenuous. I was going to work outside but is was soooooo hot, so I read instead. Water was sucky and food was ok, I did get a walk in in the morning so I got some excercise. I should be walking now but really don't feel like it. I need to get outside and work in the wooded area behind the house and clean the pool filter and check the chemicals in the pool and spa as well as weekly maintenance.
Miss Elsiha - meeting your goal so far ahead of time is awesome! way to go!

Lameducklucy - I am soooo impressed that you have meal plans done for next week already! I can't keep to a meal plan for a day!

Jaymi - I remember the days of napping with the kids (or at least trying to), now my little ones are 21 and 19! it goes by in a heartbeat!

Hikein2005 - good luck with your mom's day tea it sounds like it will be very nice (even tho it is a ton of work for you) and yes that is Whoopie, she is a Jack Russell 5 yrs old, next challenge I'll use Bo's pic.

Jennifer - your week leaves me breathless! It is such a rotten deal you got with that school! I can't believe they couldn't have waited to start a new system at the beginning of a sememster instead of in the middle, it really doesn't make much sense.

I had better run ladies, I'll try to check in later and see how everyone is doing!

Default Quick Sat AM check in

Morning Chickies...
Lakester...Hope hubby makes it through the bike ride ok. YOu two sound like quite the outdoors couple! Hope you can get to your projects today. It always feels good to get that kind of stuff done...my hubby takes care of most of the outdoor stuff around here! He's so much better at maintaining than I am! We love to be outdoors too, but I haven't seemed to find time this spring yet...and the weather hasn't been too cooperative this year, so far! We are still waiting for Spring to arrive. LOL! The tulips and daffodils are beautiful right now however, but my garden is another story! Just no time!

I'm off to the tea! I'll be glad when it's over, but it has been fun putting it all together...and then next week is National Nursing Home week! So that week will spin right past me...and then a weekend of R&R...finally...camping! Yea! I think my BIL is going to be going with us too and we haven't seen him since last summer, so it will be a nice catch up weekend! Can't wait for next weekend. It's raining here this morning...thunderstorms all night, so I'm glad we didn't go camping this weekend...which hubby wanted to do but I talked him out of it this time because of work today! Blah, blah, blah...

No workout today (SIGH)! Or yesterday! (SIGH)! I miss not working out, but I can't seem to find time in my day! I promise, though tomorrow, I will do a full hour with my toning and aerobics! Hold me to that everyone!

I had another food "disaster" last night with making the cakes. Ate a couple of miniature cupcakes and some frosting, licked the batter bowl a little...(SIGH)...but no beating myself up about it...got up and back on plan this morning!

Hope all you chickies have a great day! I gotta run! Hugs!

Default Happy Mother's Day

to all you Mom's out there! Hope you have a great day! OUr Mother's Day Tea was a huge hit and we had so much fun! My babysitters went with me and modeled and watched Kaleigh (who is 4.5 and very active) so I could do my job! There were a big help with clean up too! I told them to tell their Mom she should be proud to be their Mom! I know she is!

Anyway...have a wonderful day tomorrow! It's your day, so be good to yourself!

Hugs to all!

Default Arggggghhhh I Hate Aol

Hi all!!!

AOL sucks, luckily i saved this post before clicking submit, because I got booted out for the third time!!! But anyway que sera sera.

Elisha- Congrats chickie!!!! Good job! Doesnt if feel good when you do better than you expected to? Well you've already met your goal for this month and have set another!!! Yah for you!!!!!

hikein2005- ok..I admit.. I'm a dufus!! What the heck is a tazar!! lol

Lakester- Hope everthing with the hubby is ok!!! He's a big boy though...He can take it right?!?! I bet thats what he tells himself any way!!!

Jennifer- I would ask where are ya chickie!?!? But I see that you have a busy busy schedule!!! I'd go mad with all of that stuff!

Lameducklucy- Boy you hit that one right on the nose.. I thought I was the only one washing clothes every single day and still behind!!! My husband changes 2 or 3 times a day, my daughter about 3 times a day! Me, about 2 because when I work out I'm so sweaty!! My son is the only normal one! Your hubby just dont know.. towels are the easiest to wash, and fold. I'd wash towels anyday!!!

Anyone else I forgot?!?!? Sorry chickies!! My computer sucks and it takes forever to real these posts... But I try!

Well so about me.... I've lost another 2 pounds!!! That makes my weight down to 158.. Yawl dont know how happy I am...even though I"m way too tired to show it!! I havent been that size since maybe my wedding 21/2 years ago or before. To think until I found this site... I was about to give up or I HAD gave up. I'm really tired though. I"ve been working out maybe a little too much... but I cant sleep that well. I wake up at 5 or 6 am like clockwork...Instead of sitting around looking dumb.. I exercise. Makes since to me

I've been drinking a lot of water, but I dont know how much. I just drink it and keep going. I feel less tired when I drink water anyway. I've been pretty much going below on my calories so I dont have to worry about that. No sweets or anything...I swear you could not find one anywhere. My husband keeps all his candy in his truck lol... I buy healthy snacks for the kids.. My son was and still is a tad bit over weight. He's six and was 80 pounds, Now he's 70 and looks good. He's still big but not fat or chubby anymore. He might have been being teased at school, but never told me. I thought he was the cutest thing anyway (of course) But as long as he is happy!

My husband just doesnt get it. He say's im doing too much or I'm taking this weight thing over board He wouldnt know what to do if he lived one day in my shoes. I've been so embarrassed to weigh more then my husband who I know has at least 8 or 9 inches on me in height.. But oh well, whatever.. I know he's noticed a little change, theres no way he hasnt noticed I lost 22 pounds, but he hasnt said nothing!!!!
I still wear all my big baggy clothes, like these pair of 18 kapris that I could just pull straight down So when I get to my goal, and wear something cute... he'll just be in shock!

Well thanks all of you for listening to me complain even though I shouldnt be!! I better go get on that frickin' treadmill before I change my mind!!! I wouldnt mind getting some sun and fresh air, but looks too hot for me. Anyway bye all Happy Mom's Day & Have a great weekend!!

Okay, so my food today... not so good. My brother and his girlfriend took me out to dinner... Mexican. I don't even know how many calories were in that big platter of food, but I'm guessing it was about a bazillion! I think I just found those 2 pounds I lost this week--they were buried in a bowl of guacamole!

7:45am
1 cup of coffee with creamer
2 eggs, scrambled with 1/4 cup feta cheese, wrapped in 1 flour tortilla shell

2:30pm
1 can Diet Dr. Pepper
2 slices whole wheat bread with 1 slice LF bologna, lettuce, 1 tbsp mayo,
1 serv. Wow! potato chips
1 medium orange

6:30pm
1 margarita
1 glass of water
1 beef enchilada
1 beef burrito
1 cheese quesadilla
Tortilla chips with guacamole and salsa (luckily not too many of these, because bro ate most of them before I arrived)

I haven't gotten any exercise in yet, and I'm just plain beat. Finding it hard to keep my eyes open. I think I might take a short nap and let my food digest, then I'll go for a walk, or do an aerobics tape, or whatever.

Did you chicks know that jumping rope burns 110-130 calories in just 10 minutes? Isn't that amazing? I imagine, though, that that's just jumping for 10 minutes, which I'm too clumsy to manage. Bleh... the thought of jumping right now makes me nauseaus...

But there WILL be exercise tonight! I guarantee! Maybe I'll go mow the lawn. We've got a big yard, and it really needs done, and I always work up a good sweat. Hmm... I'll check back in later and let you all know what I decided to do.

Have a great evening!

Wow! Prevention magazine told me that mowing the lawn burns 228 calories per half hour, and that's based on a 150-pound woman, which means that I would burn even more than that. So I go out to mow down the jungle, mowing for about 15 minutes, and there's a big rock buried that rips the blade completely off the mower! Eesh. So, I went for a walk up the hill, so that was about 35 minutes of aerobics I got in today. I'm planning to do my UB circuit too. So today makes my 4th cardio workout of the week, so that means I've reached goal! Yay! More water intake tonight, while I'm watching The Hulk, but no more food! Bleh... I couldn't handle any more food in my tummy anyway. The Mexican stuff is still there. Ok, maybe some Tums, but that's IT!

Hope everyone is doing well! Talk to you tomorrow!

Morning ladies, and Happy Mother's Day!

Just a quick poke in here to say hi- busy day on the road yesterday for the land search...we put in another contract on that first piece, and we've actually seen it now, so that's better! LOL

Submitted another lesson to school late last night (was up until 2am) and got up at 9 this morning. Hubby has a few jobs scheduled, and I have to get my buns moving. We picked up PF Chang's chinese food on the way home (to make up for last weekend) so I have to be super good today!

Default Monday, Monday...

so good to me...
LOL!

Good morning chickies!
I awoke super early this morning before 6 and couldn't get back to sleep, so I got up and did my WATP l mile. I feel better for having done it since I got no "formal" workout this weekend and my eating was atrocious!!! ARGH! No excuses, just making unwise choices. Now I know I am going to pay on the scale this week, so do NOT listen to me whine, ok?

I'm a bit congested in the chest this morning. Not sure if I'm getting a bug or if it's sleeping with the windows open...it got up to 80 here yesterday! About time! I did work out in my flower garden for a couple of hours until I got so hot I couldn't stand it! I dug up by hand (literally everything because it was so overgrown with grass & weeds) an area of about 12 ft. x 4 ft, so I would have to think that counts for some sort of aerobic work out! The backs of my legs hurt this morning, that's for sure! We also went to Lowe's to check out (and did buy) a few perinneals for another planter garden which hubby built last fall. We had gotten a few small shrubs but needed some color for it. He planted them last night and it looks nice! I tell ya...I wish Ihad the endurance of my hubby! He can work literally a whole day in the yard, doing heavy stuff (lifting, cutting, whatever) without ever stopping! I know he's bigger than me and has more muscle but geesh! When I am doing heavy stuff, I am stopping every 15 minutes at least for a drink of water or to sit for just a minute! Especially in the heat...I don't like heat exhaustion! I do heat up quickly in the sun, especially with my fair skin!

Well that was quite a rant! Sorry!

It's going to be another nice day here with maybe some thundershowers later in the day, but supposed to get up to 80 again! I have to work today! Darn. I will be working all week, too! No day off! Hubby is taking DD with him on Thursday nite after he gets out of work to go up North camping. I will join them Friday nite when I get out of work! It's going to be a busy week at work with National Nursing Home week and no day off!! Ah well! Could be worse! I could be joining the unemplyed! No thanks!

Hope all you chickies have a great day!
Hugs!

Morning chickies!

It's Monday, and the start to another week. Gotta buckle down after having chinese food this weekend- enough for 2 meals & a snack worth....sheesh! Time to get the garbage out of my system. Now, this isn't your typical cardboard box takeout chinese- this is PF Chang's super-incredrible gourmet chinese cuisine. It's seriously good stuff, so when we picked that up, it was worth the deviance. But there go my bad meals for the month! LOL

Slept in this morning- with all the stress from this land/house hunting, I still can't get my head to shut down & let me get a good night sleep. Even over the weekend- I was up until 2am Sat night/Sunday am & was back up at 9am- it's just not right. And I tried to fall asleep early last night- I was in bed by 9:30, and didn't fall asleep until after midnight. Grrr.

Tonight after work we'll be hitting the grocery store- need to get more good stuff- down to 3 cottage doubles left, and no oatmeal bread. Hubby is working crazy hours while business is booming, so I've got to be able to feed him quickly- sandwiches, nuke-able things & whatnot. And make my life easy, too- not cooking for 1 person each day. Good thing I have all those frozen baggied meals!

Oh- food for today:

Breakfast
1/3 cup smart start
1 pineapple cottage double
1 oz fat free swiss cheese

Lunch
2 meatballs & 1/3 cup sauce
3/4 cup bowtie pasta

Dinner- probably soup after shopping

Afternoon exercise: Walking grocery store, at least 1 mile WATP, and resistance band workout.
Have a great Monday, ladies!

Default Monday has become synonymous for starting over!

Morning Ladies! another weekend another fall from the On Plan Wagon! Could have been worse tho, I still lost a pound. I gave myself the day off for mothers day. Heard from my son in the morning and daughter in the afternoon, it is nice that they remember. Hubby bot me a beautiful watch for mothers day and a card that said "even if you aren't my mother you still take pretty good care of me" too sweet huh? A wonderful weekend even it I did eat too much. I did feel that I made smart choices when we were out to eat with friends on Saturday. It would have been real easy to say yes to potatoes (garlic mashed potatoes with carmelized onions, yum) and dessert (cappuccino creme brulee, omg). I did have three drinks tho, one of those being a baileys irish creme (tisk-tisk). I did get some more work done outside too. Saturday I mowed the lawn (rider) and into the wooded area behind the house (push mower). Sunday I finished up with the push mower and planted some iris along the woods border making little rock walls in the tree roots to plant in, it looks nice.
Today I am going to get some cleaning done and kinda take it easy. I have been kinda light-headed since yesterday. Odd feeling, I keep loosing my balance. I made and appointment for this afternoon to have it checked out, since I am still feeling the same, we'll see.... Anyway, I decided not to walk on the treadmill or outside until I feel normal (like I was ever normal) again. Could you just see me tipping over into someone's yard? or worse yet zinging off the treadmill like this little guy?!

Jaymi - great job on the 2 pounds down! sorry you can't sleep but yeah for you for working out when that happens, I would read a book! And concerning the hubby, maybe he doesn't know what to say so instead of saying the wrong thing he is keeping his mouth shut, just a thought.

Miss Elisha - what can I say Hmmmmm guacamole! were the tortilla chips warm too? drool (do we have a smilie for that?)

Jennifer - house/land hunting is so stressful no wonder you can't sleep, hope you find something soon

hikein2005 - it is so nice that your hubby helps you with the gardening, don't worry about keeping up, just enjoy the time you spend out there together.

Well I had better hit the shower and get my butt in gear. It is taking me longer to do everything today! Have a good one.

Hey all!! I FINALLY LOST!!!!

I hopped up on the scale today & I'm down 1.4 lbs to 180.6, which is RAD!!! I have to re-lose 5 lbs that the stupid depo shot made me gain, and I'm almost halfway there.

Yesterday was my off day, and I didn't really go over my calories at all. Sheesh. I'm good. Did make breakfast for my mom, though. Ended up eating fruit for dinner and a tiny bit of fried stuff, so I don't even feel guilty!!

Did about 6 hrs of super-heavy-duty work on Saturday, & another 3-4 yesterday. WOO!!

DDR pads should be here today (I really hope so!), so I can start to workout again!! WOOHOO!!

Also, since people keep talking about the firm, I think I'm gonna rent one of the dvd's & check it out. Can't hurt, right?

I found a ton of my old clothes that I thought I'd lost forever over the weekend. Like my favorite pants, a bunch of awesome t-shirts, etc. I totally missed everything and I finally found it. WOOHOO!!
Also, the book I got to support myself in another part of my life is really good, and I am so glad we spent $8 on it. It is definitely worth it.

Other than that, here's the food for today!

B - leftovers from breakfast yesterday - sausage, 1/4 waffle, fruit, etc...
L - 2 rice cakes w/ meat & cheese & some veggies on the side
D - hamburger helper (by demand of the hubby), and steamed broccoli.

Workout today is squats & lunges as usual, with 1 hr of DDR if I can.

Hope everybody is having an awesome day!!! YOU GUYS ROCK!

EDIT: Okay, I checked my shipping schedule and the dance pads won't get here until Wednesday afternoon. LAME!! So today I have no real workout, but that's okay. Hoping to get in a nice long walk with the hubby & dog tonight!
