Gardenerjoy: congrats on your progress and getting into the 97s.

I think my 5 weeks of weight training is starting to pay off as I am finally moving downwards. I had been maintaining for 3 or 4 months so super happy to see things starting to move again.

Goal: 3.8 lbs.

Average =

Well, I'm still in the running to hit goal this week. I ate very low calories yesterday. I wouldn't want to make that figure my weekly average, but I'm ok with having a day or two that low so long as my weekly average is at least, say, 1200.

I'd need another very low calorie day today to hit goal. I'm not sure how that'll feel, having 2 consecutive days like that. I actually wasn't that hungry yesterday, partly bc I ate foods that fill me up and partly bc I was too busy to notice any hunger. This will be another busy day, so that should help!

Newlyn - Wow, 5 pounds, that's awesome! I'm so happy that you got a whoosh! I tend to lose best right after my period.
gardenerjoy - You're doing great!
yangzter - Awesome progress this week!
flower - I love that you're seeing some drops on the scale even with strength training. Good for you for hanging in there!

Happy Sunday, all!

1: 273.5 Post-TOM whoosh! Miffed that it didn't happen yesterday for my September goal, but happy that it gives me an early boost for October!
2: 273 There was obviously a bit more water to lose - my rings fit again!
3: 272
4: 271.5
5: 270.5 I didn't expect a loss today but there it is. Over a month it's 7 pounds, so not unreasonable, but 6.5 of those pounds have been lost in the last week. I guess that's what happens when you're sedentary for a long time and then suddenly you aren't.
6: 271
7: 271.5 Another bump up today. Totally expected, especially as I did very little yesterday.

Total loss for Week One: 4 pounds

Nothing significant going on for me. Still very firmly stuck between 220 and 223. Went for a 4 mile walk this morning with beautiful fall colors.

You are all doing amazing! I overate a few days this weekend. Let's just say Canadian Thanksgiving was delicious! I worked out every day this weekend but am hovering around 183 ish. I hope to see a loss this week. I guess I'll work on summoning my ability to be patient, haha!

I missed goal this week by a hair! What makes it worse is I missed it due to a calculation error. Oh cursed fate. Or, in this case, cursed memory. I'd planned yesterday's menu at the start of the day and was well within the calories I would need. I chose split pea soup for dinner. I'd previously made and frozen individual portions. Well, I'd forgotten that in the final two portions, I'd put not one serving, but 1.5. I realized that as I was eating it bc the serving was larger than my previous ones had been. I could've simply not eaten the whole portion so as to finish the day with what I'd calculated. But I knew I wouldn't want to save the uneaten portion and heat it some other time. Reheat already heated up soup that had previously been frozen? Seemed nasty to me so rather than waste it, I ate it and accepted my overage that week. I'll redeem myself this week!

8: 273 Another bump! I did absolutely nothing yesterday except watch F1 and eat 2100 calories so although I know I didn't eat enough to put on 1.5 pounds, it's not a surprise. Back to university on Tuesday so all of this sitting around and eating lark will stop!
