I went out last night instead of the usual night (Thurs), so that's why that day was on the high side. I'll aim for 1300 or below today to stay on track.

1: 99.1 kgs
4: 97.9 kgs

1: 273.5 Post-TOM whoosh! Miffed that it didn't happen yesterday for my September goal, but happy that it gives me an early boost for October!
2: 273 There was obviously a bit more water to lose - my rings fit again!
3: 272
4: 271.5

I'm assuming that this week's loss is a combo of post-TOM whoosh, post-salty food water loss, and shock after tacking the 'hill of doom' this week. All I know is that it's very unusual and totally unsustainable, nice as it is. I'm not officially back at university until Tuesday so my steps and active minutes will be much lower for the next few days and there might be a rebound, but there hasn't been a lot of movement over the past couple of weeks so I'm happy!

Is it too late to join the October challenge? I used to post in the 300+ forum but it's too quiet now.

My current weight is 241 pounds and I am hoping to get to 233 pounds by end of October.

My weigh in days will be Wednesdays.

Thanks, Bek.

3: 272
4: 271.5
5: 270.5 I didn't expect a loss today but there it is. Over a month it's 7 pounds, so not unreasonable, but 6.5 of those pounds have been lost in the last week. I guess that's what happens when you're sedentary for a long time and then suddenly you aren't.

Chunkahlunkah That's a great average considering that you've already had your high calorie day!

gardenerjoy Congratulations on getting into the 97s!

darius Great loss for the first few days of the month!

I've now lost 20.5 pounds since I started this latest weight-loss journey in July. I know that's an achievement but in March 2017 I was 5 pounds lighter so I won't really feel as if I've made any progress until I've reached that weight again.

I've been debating whether to join in this month. I'm comfortable where I'm at but I'd rather be closer to 120 than 130. And I really like being a part of this group, you all are great and it keeps me honest. And when I stop checking in, things can start to go sideways. So here I go:

SW: 126
CW: 126
GW: 123

gardenerjoy, grats! Whatever you are doing, it is working! Also, thanks for being our steadfast threadstarter.

Newlyn, you are rocking these challenges, nice going. You too, darius! Good to see everyone here and off to such a great start.

Welcome, Lucy!

So yesterday I was thinking I closed out my day at around 1,000 calories. This morning I realized I'd forgotten to include a whole meal yesterday in my calorie count. Ugh!

Hi Chunkalunkah - don't you hate it when it is 1PM and you already have reached 1400 kcal

Hi Newlyn congratulations on your great progress!
Hi Cattails thanks for the encouragement!

I needed a low cal day today but I instead ended up having my highest calorie day in a long time. Womp womp. I'd have to eat *really* low cal the next couple of days to hit goal this week. Not sure if I want to do that...

Saturday is my official WI day and I was 276 last week, so that's a 5-pound loss this week (4.5-pound loss from my October start weight). I've never lost that much in one week but in addition to everything else, my daily calorie average is 150 calories less than last week (1500 v 1650) so I guess it's been a perfect storm. Slight bump today, probably because of the giant plate of tortellini I had last night.
,
Chunkahlunkah Sometimes it just has to be done. If you eat your usual <1400 you'll still be pretty close to goal without it feeling like a punishment. (I say this knowing that this morning I bought a giant bar of peppermint Aero chocolate and I'm already trying to justify it!)
