I followed my plan exactly, so not worried about this bump up. It's been so dry; I think I'm still not drinking enough water. Fortunately, we got a warm, wet front yesterday so we'll have a few days of relief from bitter cold here.
ophelia I just had to say that you are my workout hero!! You bought and then immediately used your elliptical!!!!!!!!! I just had to have a treadmill, I was obsessed with finding one to buy ASAP and I have used it 1 time (its been a couple months)
I've been logging my calories and except for two days, stayed in the range I wanted. Yet somehow I weigh 4.4 pounds more than I did at the end of December!
Today I weighed 147.4. I'll make my goal weight 142, so a loss of 5.4 pounds. For me, that's a crazy high goal, but I think something freaky is going on with me and water weight. So this might be doable. I sure hope it is!
Helle all, Weight in today 167.5 lbs.
I didn't sleep well last week and had late night binges. Will try to do better this week. What workouts do you do?
TooManyDimples: Bodies are such strange things, aren't they?
gardenerjoy: I need to be better with my water, too...sounds like a good focus for all of us today!
kfunk: If it makes you feel any better, I have only been on it twice so far! Haha. But, I will probably use it again today since my husband went back to work this morning, so I will be stuck in the house again...lol.
Chunkah: I hate when our bodies/scales do that to us! Have you been able to drink enough water? Your body could be holding onto water weight from dehydration, if not. I know I've been so bad about that lately...hoping to get in tons of water today!
Slimmer Me: Glad to see that your gain is starting to come back down!
Joe: My workouts usually consist of 3-5 mile walks in the evenings right now...just started including elliptical time, as well. I want to start lifting weights this year, but I probably won't start that until this Spring. What are you doing, or planning to do, for workouts? Hope you are able to get some better sleep this week!
momtopands: Wow, nice loss...looks like you caught up!
Weigh-in was 206.8 again today, so hopefully this is the start of going back down and not a yoyo pattern. We will see! I did a little over 5 miles on my walk last night, but I was very low on my water...so I'm going to focus, yet again, on that this afternoon. TMI, but had some random spotting over the night last night, so hoping that doesn't turn into anything like a super early, midcycle TOM. Bizarre, but making note of it.

Thanks opheliaphoenix! I'm trying not to depend too much on the big drop and stay focused. Today is the first day I have managed to stay below the calorie goal I have so I'm super excited and will not allow the night time munchies to derail this positive step. Glad to see you are going the right direction and hope that tomorrow will be an even better day.
Welcome Joe! As far as workouts for me, I either walk or do an online bootcamp at home. The gym is not for me but I love this!

Happy New Year everyone!
Thanks for the thread GardenerJoy!
Goal 5 pounds again
A little scary as that’d put me in the 140s
1/1-153.1
1/2-154.8 yikes, not sure where that came from, sodium?!
1/3-153.6 drank a lot of water, for me anyway...
1/4-151.6
1/5-151.9
1/6-152.2
1/7-152.0
1/8-151.9
1/9-150.4
1/10-151.1 2 down 3 to go
I got a stomach bug yesterday -- that's one way to make the scale drop, but it won't be sustainable.
yangster: I mostly walk for exercise, but (especially in the winter) I like to throw workout videos in the mix so that I get in some strength-training and stretches. There's another monthly thread for keeping track of workouts, if you're interested: January Exercise Challenge
