Jacqui Sorry to hear about the wisdom tooth. Just the thought (and memory) makes me cringe. Don't worry about water weight. The nice thing about it is that it's completely temporary and brings about a pleasant whoosh when it's done.
Delphi That's sounds like one intense day!! Congrats on the drop too!
iDream That was me yesterday. It was super hot and muggy. I made myself a large jug (1/2 gallon) of poor man's lemonade and sat inside and drank it. It's mostly water with 2 tbs of sugar and 4 packets of crystalized lemon. You could just use lemon juice but the brand I use is True Lemon and it's just straight lemon juice dehydrated, I love it! I can keep it in my purse and make any water lemon water.

After this weekend and waking up feeling hungover from dehydration I've increased my water intake a lot over the last few days since I haven't had any where to go. I'm really bad about drinking enough water, especially when I'm out and about. I don't like having to constantly go to the bathroom. But I think this water increase has really helped get rid of the water weight.
I'm still waiting to hear back from my new job as to when I can start. I'll be happy to get out of the house and getting a paycheck. I have a large purchase coming up this summer! My boyfriend and I are getting engaged and we're semi breaking from tradition because I'm also buying him an engagement ring. He's a ring guy and has always lamented how only the girls get a ring when they're engaged.
The wisdom tooth was not a problem! It came out very easily, 2 shots of novacaine, 2 hard tugs, and it was out, no drills, no stitches, no meds other than 800mg of the ibuprofen I bought this morning. Now if the recovery will go just as smoothly, that'd be awesome! I have to rest, which won't be hard considering that big of a dose of ibuprofen makes me sleepy, and follow orders about what and how I eat/drink. etc. Other than some pesky water weight, I should be just fine!
Hepzibah, woot woot! Keep it going! Turtle, looking good! Almost there! Looks like just a little water separating you from your goal right now! Leah, Congrats on the great new low! Good job on the extra water! And congrats on the new job and upcoming engagement! Wow! Those are some major wonderful events! Also thank you, I was lucky with my tooth! Magistra, another drop, yay! VickieLou, you'll be pushing past 204 before you know it on to Onederland! Lovemylife, thank you for the positive thoughts! Sandye, I agree, pain does outweigh weight loss sometimes. We do what we have to do! Joy, yay! Good for you! Keep it going! Delphi, sorry about your "full of awesome" flat tire, but happy to hear your furniture was finally delivered! Gordongirl, that bump up is just water. It will fall back off! Boating, glad to see that weekend water weight coming back off! And glad you got to spend quality time with your teenaged son! (Sometimes things are moving so quickly when they are that age, it's hard!)
Jacqui That's amazing that it went so smoothly. I'm really scared to get the rest of my wisdom teeth pulled. They only pulled one because my insurance will only cover one at a time. The other 3 are supposed to be really difficult so I've been putting it off.
Leah, I'm so sorry you had a bad experience. Are your wisdom teeth impacted? Is that why they have to take them out? I've had all 4 of mine since I was 21. The one they took out became loose (which I'm sure is why it came out so easily) and infected and so they had to take it out. The other 3 are fine, so they aren't messing with those.
Yesterday at work we had a retirement party for a manager that was with us for 43 years. They ordered tons of food and a beautiful cake. Sweets are my weakness. I'm proud to say, I didn't eat any of it.
One of my co-workers cut me a piece of cake and brought it to me. I wrapped it and gave it to another manager that works a different shift. I was so proud of myself to resisting the temptation.
I think my mind is were it's suppose to me for my healthy lifestyle journey. Well, I hope everyone has a great day. Will check in later
Leah try not to worry! I had two of my wisdom teeth out awhile ago and it wasn't a bad experience at all. I didn't even need the prescription pain medicine they gave me, just tylenol. I know other people have more pain than that, but at least for me it wasn't bad at all.
And congratulations on getting engaged! You must be so excited!
lovemylife001 ~ Three for you. Awesome!!! It will be all those types of things that will have you at your goal in no time. Great job. So proud of you.
jacqui ~ Ya for being back down. After the trauma of the extraction, that is awesome. Heres to that downward trend sticking with you.
LovelyLeah ~ on the upcoming engagement. It is a very exciting time. Hope you hear something positive from the job.
VickieLou ~ Hey you may not be there now but YOU WILL get there. You are doing a wonderful job. You will be in Onederland before you know.
iDream ~ Like a warranty. With 3 boys and chaos bound to ensue daily, I always get a warranty if its offered which these days they are. In any case, can't take the heat...eh? My future husband is like that as well. I would rather be outside in the heat then inside here with the AC. THough these Tennessee summers are so humid they take your breath away at times but the cold just isn't for me. Have you started preparing for your trip yet?

So, nothing new really to tell. Had my high day yesterday and the scale is holding steady. Uneventful day yesterday really. Eagerly awaiting Friday though, as Jurassic World opens and us geeks here are really excited to see it. So, I sure hope you ladies and gents (are there any men in our challenge), have a WONDERFUL on-plan day. Cheers!
lovemylife ~ I always say, it never really needs to be any hotter that 80--seriously!! WTG girl!! Sweets are my weakness too and I know how hard it is to stay no. You did a fantastic job!!! Woo hoo!!!
VickieLou and Magistra ~ you deserve all the kudos! Well done!
LovelyLeah ~ concentrated lemon juice?! Have I been living under a rock? How did I not know about that? I like my water straight up, but hubs likes to add lemon to his iced tea and water, he'd love that! Way to go on getting more water in. I'm the same way when I'm out, the last thing I want to have to do is use a public bathroom. Yuck! However, I have just made it a habit to carry my water bottle everywhere. It's 32oz so my goal is four of them a day. I usually finish one by breakfast, one at lunch, another between lunch and dinner and then one at dinner. I try to get it all in before 7:00 so I'm not up going to the bathroom all night. I love the idea of an engagement ring for the fellas! I need to get hubs a new wedding band...his no longer fits. (what I should really do is crack the whip on him and get him exercising and eating better, but he travels 4-5 days a week and I can only nag so much)
JacquiD ~ Yay!!! So glad to hear the tooth was easy! Whew! Now follow doctor's orders and take it easy!! Bravo on the loss too!!
kelijpa ~ great job on the loss!
GordonGirl ~ it's coming right off!! Awesome job!!
Delphi ~ I'm a big 'ol baby for sure! We lived in Louisiana for 18 months and I about died. I hate, hate, hated the heat and humidity. I'm a CA girl and I am used to dry, scalding heat--not swampy moist heat. Blech! It's better when I'm thin though, so that's definitely a motivator. Beyond making a couple of lists...no...I still haven't started prepping. I think I'll probably really get on it this weekend.

Only new news here is that I hit a big milestone, 50 lbs gone. For the love of Peter, Paul, and Mary, I never, ever, ever want to see those dang things ever, ever again!! I have mixed emotions over this milestone and while I know in my head I should be doing a crazy happy dance, I am irked that I am not smaller than I am with this big of a loss. Sigh. I am also cranky about how far I still have to go. Truth be told, a lot of it has to do with the fact that with my sister's wedding coming up, I'm dreading having to go dress shopping, dreading seeing friends and family who have never seen me this big (besides being pg), and really dreading having to stand up in front of everyone and do a reading. *gulp* I know it'll be fine. It's not like they'll be looking at me anyway, my gorgeous sister will (rightly) be in the spotlight I will merely be a blip in the day...but man do I hate public speaking and being heavy on top of it...blech.
Anyway...geez I need to remember to have my coffee after I post I am rambling! LOL All that to say, I'm a bit mixed up today. Happy and grumpy.
I hope everyone is having an amazing morning!! One more day until Friday!!
Jacqui Great job on the loss!!! Woo hoo!! Yes, mine are impacted. I also hate anything to do with dentists because it's rarely a good experience. One time I went in for a filling and while they were drilling they broke my tooth and had to pull it.
Lovemylife Awesome job on resisting. That would be quite difficult for me right now, I'm craving cake.
GordonGirl Mine are badly impacted so it'll probably require surgery, therefore my insurance won't cover them. And thank you, I am very excited to be engaged!!
Delphi I'm looking forward to Jurassic World too. I'm keeping my expectations low. Whenever I hype up a movie I'm disappointed but if I keep my expectations low I'm generally pleasantly surprised.
iDream Congrats on the 50!!!! What a great milestone! YAY!!!!!

Yay, TOM finally happened! <- Never thought I'd say that in my life! But maybe now my hormones can get back to normal and these week-long cramps will end soon.
I just found out that two days ago my 16 year old niece got her drivers licence and then yesterday was accepted to start taking classes at our state university in the Fall. She only just finished her sophmore year. I am so proud of her!!

Went out to a late lunch/early dinner yesterday. I didn't overeat but I kept tasting my food all evening. I think today I'm retaining water from yesterday's outing, so my weight is up a little.
