I'm getting a little pissy! Been sticking very closely to points and barely a budge on the scale. We've been working hard in the yard every evening, but I guess I'm not burning enough calories. So sad that I've been working all week to get the popcorn indulgence off. Oh well... just keep swimming! (Sorry, Nemo reference).

Well, my Dad's scale was lighter, probably by 3.5 lbs, because today I weigh 204.5. I was skeptical of the jump down from 209.5 here to 206 there, which is why I kept putting my weight in parentheses while I was there. So unless I am suddenly pre-TOM today or holding water because of my "strenuous workout" at the walk park , my scale is heavier, and I'm going by my scale, so back up to 204.5 for me! Hey, that's still 5 lbs less than when I left for Nashville and 15.5 lbs less than I weighed last month, so I'm thankful! So I'm adding 3.5 lbs to my starting weight, and well I can't go for 200.5!

So Joy, please change my goal to 6.5 lbs, and I'll try for an even 200!

Boating, just stick to it and I bet you'll have a whoosh coming!

Good Morning Everyone

Boatingmommy: I understand your frustration with the scale. I also am on weight watchers, but like with any weight loss plan, you can be very meticulous with your food and exercise and sometimes the scale barely moves. I'm sure that it will start to move for you, so don't worry, you're doing great

Jacqui: I totally understand the scale differences. The scale that I have at home is just a regular digital scale and the one that we have at work in our Wellness Center is a doctors scale, so I've been using the scale at work. I will probably just continue to weigh in on that one, just for that reason

TGIF

So, first off, its Friday (my day off) and I'm checking in as per goal and to keep my butt in check. Secondly, just want to thank everyone for the encouragement. Lord knows I needed it. So, yesterday, I basically detoxed. Drank plenty of water and after work I took the boys walking around the neighborhood. Stayed really busy and then I wake up this morning and I'm down 3 pounds. I stalled out for no reason at the end of last month after TOM, so I am thinking my body is playing catch up. But I'll take it. So I have no clue what the day has in store for me today. Perhaps some errands this morning and I may put in some OT with work for an hour or 2...MAYBE. So, here is to wishing all you wonderful people a happy and healthy weekend. Enjoy!!!

boatingmommy ~ It will come. I know its frustrating. Hopefully you will see that whoosh soon.

Jacqui ~ Had a chuckle at that but sooooo true. I was much better about controlling my calories last time around. I think its the old mentality that keeps trying to infect my thoughts. I think that something we all struggle with at some point. Welcome back home. I hope your scale surprises you this morning in a good way. (I guess you posted while I was posting.) That sucks about the scale but hey, you are almost to ONDERLAND and will be there very soon.

Aclai4067 ~ You are looking good.

Noggs ~ Thanks The inspiration around here is just infectious. Good luck on your weigh-in tomorrow.

Ambience ~ Awesome. Keeping that positive mindset will do wonders for you as well. Glad things are looking up for ya.

lovemylife001 ~ Thanks for the support. It really does help move my butt right along. Its people like you that make my journey all the more uplifting. So thanks again.

LovelyLeah ~ Soooo, how do you like your fitbit. I'm in the market for another tracker type device. THough more interested in one that shows daily calorie output.

berryblondeboys ~ on the movement.

SAndye ~ on the loss. That downward trend looks good on you. Thanks again, for giving me a swift kick yesterday. Needed that. I had to laugh a little about the personals comment. It does take a while and for the life of me I have to keep checking the smilies because I just can not remember anymore..lol! Thanks for all the info on P90X as well. I'm in this weird spot where I'm trying to change up the routine again, so I'm diligently researching etc. Hope you post another loss today. You are doing an amazing job. Oh, keeping track of the wedding in my ticker. 03/19/2016. I did meet a special guy about 9 years ago. Of course we have been living together for about 4 years now, so yeah. Its been a great ride. I was never one of those girls who wanted to get married much less have a wedding, so this whole thing is freaking me out. But, he and his mother really wanted a wedding and well, I guess I just love them so much I obliged. But, I am the last person in the world that should be planning a wedding with frills and dresses and color patterns ...and blah blah blah blah..lol!

Good morning and TGIF ladies!!!

GordonGirl ~ I can relate to not wanting to workout...but you are so right! It will kick start your body and get the pounds flying! You can do it!!!

berryblondeboys
~ congrats on the loss!!

LovelyLeah ~ WOO HOO Ten pounds is awesome!!! That first 10 is glorious and definitely something to be proud of! WTG!!!

lovemylife ~ Thank you! I have no doubt you'll hit your goals!!!

hepzibah ~ congrats on the loss!!

Ambience ~ Awesome loss!!! WTG!

Noggs ~ Sending you lots of Happy Scale vibes for tomorrow!!

Aclai4067 ~ You're doing fantastic!!

boatingmommy ~ I'm sorry about your stubborn scale. I have felt the same way for the last month. I'm sure your body is changing and that's far more difficult to gauge than a number on a scale. Keep up the great work and your scale will eventually catch up.

JacquiD ~ don't ya hate it when you have to rely on a different scale? I'm leaving for CA for a month in a couple of weeks and have contemplated brining my scale with me. LOL You have made great progress so far!! Wow! Keep up the great work!

Delphi ~ Congratulations!!! That is one impressive loss there girlie! HAHA! I hear ya on the wedding stuff (how did I miss the dang ticker?!), I am not a girlie girl and was not thrilled about planning a girlie girl wedding...however, I'm sure you will be sure to add your awesome style to it easy peasy!! I am so happy for you! Now, is the the boy who mowed your yard? Does that ring a bell at all? I remember you mentioning a guy who mowed your yard way back when...Any time you want to know about P90X or P90X3...feel free to ask me. I'll dish on Tony anytime.

A tiny loss for me today, but I'll take it.

New low! For the first time in probably two months. Only by a hair, but that hair means a lot when you've been stuck.

All the sudden my body dropped all this weight. I didn't believe it so I had to double check it on the medical scale at work. Sure enough, its true!

I know I can get down to 254 this month! I need to keep working. I have been trying to count my calories accurately and I have been drinking green tea (unsweetened) along with my ice water. Taking in about 100 ounces of water and green tea a day.

I am so impressed and motivated by all of you. Keep posting your updates. Oh and how the heck are you all doing so well?

Delphi I love my fitbit. I have the Flex and the One. I got the Flex for free. The lost and found at my college just puts everything out that's been unclaimed on a table and anything is up for grabs so I picked it up. I previously had a One and I loved it but I wanted something for my wrist. I use my phone to check my calorie output for my Flex. I gave my One to my mom and the One shows you right on the screen. They have other wrist trackers that you're able to see the output I believe. The only downside for me is the battery. It last about a week. But since I don't use it for sleeping I plan to just charge it at night once I get my replacement charger.

Hmm...pretty sure my scale is broken from the move. It's reading 183.6 and then 185 and then 187 and so on. I would love to be at 183.6, though! I think I'll stop weighing until I get a new scale but just keep doing what I'm doing

Delphi, I have a Fitbit charge HR, it measures your heart rate constantly without the need for a chest strap! It's fantastic! As I'm walking or running it motivates me to pick my pace up, it tracks what my resting heart rate is while I sleep, and as one gets fitter their resting heart rate usually improves so I'm excited to see that! At the moment it's 57 resting.
It also doubles as my watch for work! I'm just loving it

Good morning and Happy Saturday!! I hope everyone is having a great morning!!

nonameslob ~ WTG on the loss! Awesome job! Nothing beats making that scale move after it being stuck!

Gordongirl ~ Great job!! Over two lbs in five days!!

Turtle11 ~ Moving right along! You are so close to your last 10 pounds!! How exciting!! Woo hoo!

CatRN78 ~ WOW!! Great loss!! Keep up the amazing work!!

VickieLou ~ You have made amazing progress!! You're going to be in Onederland in no time!!

LovelyLeah ~ I know you were telling Delphi, but thanks for the info on the FB, I have been contemplating getting one and know next to nothing.

Scout83
~ That sounds like a great plan! Could it be that you just need a new battery? My scale goes all wonky when the battery starts to die.

Ambience
~ Thank you too for the FB info! I'd be curious to see my sleep patterns, maybe then I could have prove that I sleep better when hubs is out of town. LOL

Last day of my workout week and I'm looking forward to my day off tomorrow. Hubs has got a brisket on the grill and I can't wait to tear into that bad boy (with moderation of course )! Thank goodness today is an extra high calorie day.

Ambience I really want a Charge HR. I have a disorder called Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia (IST). My resting heart rate can get up into the 120s when I'm not on medication. It's not too bad and my heart is healthy but we're not meant to be having a cardio workout just lying down. I've used other heart rate monitors in the past but I hate the chest strap. I really want the Charge HR but it's out of my price range for now.

iDream I don't trust my fitbit's sleep interpretation. It only measure when you move. Say I wake up in the middle of the night and then just lay there staring at the ceiling. If I'm not moving it will interpret that as sleep. But it will pick up on things like if you're really tossing and turning. But it's not consistant. It'll show I had a ad night on a good night and a good night on a bad night sometimes.
