I figure if my midsection is not going to be worth writing home about (with all the stretch marks, and baby abuse to come) then I should definitely make my arms/shoulders and legs/butt something awesome. That's what sticks out of clothes anyway.

Did my measurements today, down .6 pounds for the week, and another 2.75 inches across my 9 measurements.

I'm in these are my goals:

12,600 cs a week (using a calorie bank on paper).
5,000 steps/day-35000/wk
2 zumba workouts/wk
stay on plan for a month
log every day.

I'm a binger, and my goal is NOT to not binge, but to make sure a binge doesn't break the calorie bank. Promising to NOT binge does not work for me.

Evening ladies,

Jen. Your goals are great and I hope you have an awesome May. I struggle with binging too and I just take it one minute at a time. This thread really help me to stay on track and OP.

Mandy - Congrats on your loss of weight and inches this week!

damiilya - Great job staying OP! I am proud of you two!

WannaB - I hope you had a great OP day and I hope you're feeling more rested.

My day was good. I stayed OP and I did a 2.5 mile walk in the rain. A few weeks ago I would have used the rain as an excuse to not walk.

Have a great evening ladies and let's all have a great OP day tomorrow

Goals Reduce 1850 calorie plan to 1625 as suggested by calorie app, as the hoped for 1/2lb a week loss ain't happening!
Try to stay on plan without rigidity as flexibility works better for me.
Look at the bigger picture!
Finally keep logging in to give and receive support.

Good morning ladies,

Waterlady - Congrats on being down on the scale How exciting that your dedication to being OP is paying off. Yep I decided that I wasn't going to let a little rain stop me as long as it wasn't lightning. I hope you have another OP day.

Welcome - Milly, I love your goals. I hope you have a great month of May and are able to reach your goals.

I'm ready for another OP day! I have a hair appt after work but I'm planning to get in a quick Firm workout tonight when I get home. Eating will be good with no major challenges today.

Let's all have a great OP day!

Urgh!
Sorry for the last few days, we are doing lots of customizations on our house so weekends are swamped!

That being said, I'm in a grumpy/give up mood. I have been on plan this month thus far, but in the last two weeks (despite being on plan with eating and exercising 6 days a week) I have gained 13 lbs. I'm heavier than I was in January. Ahhhhhhhhh!!!! And no...it isn't water retention

tavvy - Hang in there and don't give up. Are you sure your scale isn't on the blink. Thirteen is a lot go gain even not being OP. I'd definitely try weighing on another scale. If you have in fact gained 13 pounds in 2 weeks, I'd check with my dr.

Stay strong and please don't give up.

Tavvy I would definitely get either the scales or yourself checked out, take care. I know why I set my calorie amount so high. I have just eaten 200 calories more than my 1625 plan! I am going back to the 1850 suggested by the app to lose 1/2 lb a week. I am not losing as much as that but i know how my system works and and at this stage I really don't want to risk my awful binge cycle returning. Not feeling a failure which is good, just being realistic. Have also done double my normal exercise.

Hey ladies, I tested out the batteries in the scale (I just bought the scale about a month ago when my old one broke, so i don't think it is the scale itself) and they are fine...still way up in weight. I know it is my thyroid levels. I am going to the doctor Saturday for blood work to see if they need to up my medicine. I went to the store and replaced all of my food with organics tonight. I will only be eating organic food from now on...and if things start to go better within the month then I will be organic forever. I am so thankful that I can afford to purchase/test out organics without being broke...I have read that the antibiotics, poor quality feed, and hormones in non-organic foods can cause thyroid problems in people with a sensitivity...seeing as my siblings and I grew up in the same house eating the same food and doing the same activities and I am the ONLY fat one...perhaps I am sensitive! Time will tell.

Downside to organic? Having to prep the food...off to the kitchen I go.

Thanks for the support ladies! I'm not gonna give up...even if I do feel like it...I'm a fighter!!

Not much to update. I've either been puttering in the garden or on the couch reading an old SciFi series {I'm on the last book}. My parents are taking me out to lunch tomorrow, plus I need to get something for Hubby for our 15th Anniversary this Thursday. Hubby took the day off and we are trying to think of something fun to do.

Tavvy, 13lbs is a lot. very weird. do you have something like a handweight or bag of sugar/flour that you can test your scale with? I hope your mood improves and the Dr appointment goes well.

Damiilya, thanks for the pep talk!

Milly, I'm trying out an exchange plan. Its a 1800cal vegetarian plan, but I'm finding that I'm not even eating all the 'boxes'. Right now I'm enjoying having all the potential 'extra' food but I may drop to the 1500cal plan soon, then see what happens. Checking all the boxes is kinda fun, and the whole approach is a lot easier than counting cals but seems to have the same effect.

I got a new time on my plank: 40 seconds!

also, I *finally* braved a barbell squat, and survived. I only did 50 pounds, but I need to get used to that bar across my shoulders. It feels so weird!

865 cals burned in the gym tonight. I FEEL AWESOME.
