kandd416- it been work packing and cleaning, but fun moving will be a workout. I agree I can't wait to be back in the country where I can walk in peace and enjoy the scenery instead of the noisy city.
Sandy- I like the idea of the 4th july challenge and I love the name. I am so in for it
I have been looking for a new place and we have found one... We have been packing and cleaning and trying to get ahead on some school work before start the move. We will start moving this friday.. We still have alot to do before the move...
I am proud to say that I am addicted to smart water
Fiyah, congrats on the smaller size! Wow! You had to have been so happy. Sometimes those NSV can mean more than seeing the number on the scale!
Vicki, welcome back. Congrats on maintaining. I'm sure you will succeed in hitting your goal weight by the end of this challenge.
Tlbrwn, awesome job on your loss this week! The weather's been great here & it's really hard to have to stay in the office when I can see how nice & sunny it is out. But I've been doing a lot outside off from work so at least I've had a chance to enjoy the weather before it's back to spring.
Barbie, hope you enjoy being back in the country & get to work girl! Yeah, I may decide to keep nagging you, lol, it must be the mother in me.
Ladies, I know I don't post regularly enough but I just have to say how encouraging it is to log in here and see you all sticking to it. And to see some of you totally blowing your goals out of the water (rlb, I'm looking at you). WAY TO GO!
I had a horribly OP weekend. It was BAD. It started with a buffet lunch reception with open bar and carried on at a pub all day. There were cheesy things, there were deep fried things, there were beers, and, dear god, there was even poutine. (For those of you unfamiliar with Canada's most significant contribution to world cuisine, poutine = fries... topped with gravy... topped with and cheese curds. It is a heart attack on a plate). Somehow despite this horrible day, I managed at least not to gain any weight. I embraced this morning's run with great vigour, and vow to have a serious loss to post for next week. I may not meet my final goal of 162, but I still plan on trying!

OMG! This has not been a successful weight loss challenge for me. It has been OK, though in that I have lost a couple of pounds and have had a vacation. I would like to break the 180 number by Easter, so I need to buckle down.
Love hearing everyone's stories and successes. I read them all.
You guys are rockin it!!!!
This is a great group. I feel so at home here.
I've been crazy busy with work, etc. I will definitely join the 4th of July Challenge, and I love the name. Thanks, Sandy
Get to goal & stay there!

Wow, I did not even realize that it's been a week since I've been here. Here's a clue if anyone wonders why I disappear for so long: When I don't post often, you know I had a terrible weigh in on Saturday (gained back 0.6 on the scale). I just don't want to come here and bring everyone down with my blue mood since it just makes me sound like a broken record at this point.
But I can't hide forever, right? So, I've decided that since calorie counting, low-carb, Scarsdale and every diet in between I've tried from Woman's World, that I'd give Slim Fast a try. I remember doing it years ago, but can't remember how I did on it. I do remember my dad lost quite a bit of weight on it though. I'm just getting to a point where I'm tired of counting either calories or carb and just want Slim Fast to do it for me. ;p Plus, it's easy to just grab a shake and a piece of fruit for a snack if I'm on the run. Keep your fingers crossed that it works.
And, yikes! I didn't realize that just 8 cans of Slim Fast are so expensive...$16.99 at Ralph's. I ended up getting the Kroger brand at half that amount. I checked and the ingredients and nutrition label are very similar. Ridiculous what Slim Fast charges. I'm going to look and see if I can get them cheaper on Amazon...if it even works for me this week.
I'm glad to hear that so many of you like the July 4th idea and title. I will get that set up on Monday to give people a week or so to sign up for it.
Hope you all are having a wonderful day!

I have to recommend Special K shakes. They taste way better and actually have more protein. And they are much cheaper. An 8 pk is about $10 at Walmart. The one time I actually stuck with the Special K plan I lost about 5 lbs in 2 weeks. Plan on trying again starting tomorrow.
Well I am reporting in for this weeks weigh-in with a big goose egg...0.0. I'm not sure how I feel about that. While I know that I over did it a couple of meals last weekend, it never stops frustrating me that being even a little bit off track can sabatoge a whole weeks worth of efforts. There are days I feel like throwing in the towel and this has been a whole week of them Oh well, enough of my pity party. I have stayed OP since Tuesday and will not stop until I get there.
Have a great weekend ladies and congrats on everyones acheivements for all their hard work!! Keep it up. Looking forward to the next challenge!!
My thought for the day......"If you are tired of starting over, stop giving up." --Jillian Michaels.
Oh, and I came up with a cute July 4th challenge name based on a Katy Perry song: ~*~Baby You're A Firework July 4th Challenge~*~
What do you all think of it?
I'm feeling a little discouraged today with my weigh loss. My weight is going down, it's just taking forever! I see people pulling these big numbers & I get so frustrated with my .2, .4, .6 pound per week weight loss.
So I've decided that this week I'm going to shoot for a calorie deficit of at least 1,000 calories per day. This should give me at least a 2 lb. loss & hopefully stop my b****ing. LOL my weigh ins are on Wednesday, so this will give me a day or two to plan my meals & get my shopping done.
