Hi everyone! I hope you all enjoyed Halloween! I did!
Lindsy, I have officially sent the weightloss fairy to you, since on Saturday I reached goal. You are working so hard, you are sure to reach goal soon no matter what!
My new goal for this challenge is to maintain. I know I can do it. I worked too hard to re-gain, so I'll learn how to do this.
Congrats on your losses, Sandy, ladyrayado and lambiechop!
And good luck to Hopeless and everyone else this week!

Hello all! I'm writing to you from zombie land because that's what I feel like today. You'd think I would be on sugar overload with how tired I'm feeling (don't worry...stayed completely on plan). But I was up and on the go since 5:30 a.m. and didn't get to sleep until 11:30 p.m. That's probably what did me in. But it was a fun day of partying and trick or treating. Time to move ahead and start planning Thanksgiving.

khumphrey, woo hoo for your loss! Great job!!
As tired as I was earlier, I made myself exercise tonight. I hate exercising at night, but I joined the exercise challenge on this board, and I put a little red heart next to all the days I exercise. I didn't want to see a missing heart next to any of the days on my list. That really pushed me to get it done. Yay!
Sandcar, I too hate exercising at night I get lazy and really have to dig deep for motivation. But, I too have goals and they include exercising 5-6 days a week for 60 min. a day. You are doing great! Keep up the great work!
For me not much going on just fighting through the Halloween challenge of not eating candy. So far so good. Monday night did a trick or treat hayride and there were doughnuts, cookies, and of course candy being passed around and I stuck to my guns and said no thank you.
Have a great day and keep up the great work everyone.
I am still trying to work up the motivation to start exercising. It's difficult with my 4 year old constantly up my butt. When my husband gets home I'd love to start water aerobics again and one of my friends is a Zumba instructor so I'd love to go to class but I can't afford a babysitter that often so I'm just SOL until his return.
The scale was down to 219 this morning. 9 more lbs to my Thanksgiving goal. I ran errands all day yesterday so today is laundry and chores (yay!). Plus my Dane sprained his ankle so I'll be babying him all day too.

khumphrey, doesn't that make you feel so powerful when you say no to all that candy? It gets easier the more you do it, too.
Lambie, sorry to hear about your Dane. I hope he recovers quickly. But congratualtions on your weight loss!
I've got a question for all of you: Do you plan on going off your diet on Thanksgiving day?
For me, I have been on some type of plan religiously, with no cheats, since July 25th of this year. But on Thanksgiving I've decided to allow myself a scheduled cheat meal. I am going to try my best not to become a crazy woman, though. I don't think it'll be too hard, though, because it seems like I can barely eat anthing nowadays without feeling Thanksgiving stuffed...and I've talking small meals. So I'll probably have a healthy small breakfast, maybe a protein snack a few hours later and take a spoonful of each Thanksgiving item during dinner. I wait all year long for pumpkin pie, though, not having any any other day of the year. So I will have a small slice of that and my pumpkin cheesecake.
I feel very confident that this planned cheat meal will not undo my diet nor my willpower to get back on plan the following day. But I'll be damned if I'm going to sit there nibbling on a salad and dry turkey while everyone around me feasts their faces. Like I said, I don't plan on going crazy and doubt I even can given my ever decreasing appetite. I just want to eat like a "normal" person that day.
What about all of you?

I agree it is so hard to be motivated when you have littleones. Last week I was exercising to a P90 X video and my 16 month old was crawling through my legs for 5 minutes. Try doing zumba at home my littleones 5 and 16 months shake there butts with me during the videos.
You can do it keep up the goodwork!
As far as Thanksgiving goes, this year it's easy. We're not doing a big Thanksgiving dinner. Since it's just me and the kids and they don't eat much anyways I'm just not cooking that stuff. My family all live across the country, my inlaws live in China, and I don't have many friends here so I'm not really worried that anyone will invite us to dinner. Same goes for Christmas. For us they'll just be like any other day. If I'm feeling celebratory I might make the kids a pumpkin pie for dessert. We'll see.
Okay I so want to be a part of this challenge. I have read everyone's post on here and I am super excited. I need all the support I can possibly get, not that I want you all to feel sorry for me but my life has been turned upside down since the loss of my 17 year old son in July. He is the reason I started this weight loss journey in April and want to continue for my other 7 kids, yes I did say 7...LOL. I have lost 50lbs so far but probably gained 5 back in the last couple of weeks, it has been pretty stressful. We are on a program called Go Figure which is a high protein diet with a lot of supplements and we get regular vitamin b6 and b12 shots weekly but due to the cost of it we are thinking about trying it on our own. I am scared to death because I feel I have no accountability if I don't have to weigh in every week in front of somebody, but it is roughly costing us about $160 a week. So any support or new ideas would be greatly appreciated PLEASE!!!!
My actual starting weight was 239lbs
Starting weigh when I signed onto 3FC 227lbs
2 weeks ago 180lbs
Now 185lbs
Goal is to lose 10 pounds before Thanksgiving and to look fabulous for my birthday on the 29th.
I am looking forward to getting to know all of you on here. May seem like a silly question but how often do we check in?
Haven't checked back in since I decided to do this challenge I'm glad to see everyone is doing well! I weighed 213 this morning, so 8 lbs more to reach my goal. It should have been more, but I really haven't been keeping on plan as much as I need to be. I am doing the 90 day exercise challenge, so hopefully incorporating exercise will give me the calorie burn boost I need!
Lambie, I can TOTALLY relate to the kiddo situation. My 15 month olds are holy terrors. (I say this in the most loving way possible.) They are VERY active little girls. I have to wait until they go to bed to exercise. I used to take them on walks, but the frigid midwest winter is rapidly approaching. I just keep telling myself that I deserve to do something for me, and weight loss is it. We can do this!!

Welcome NuttyAutty! I remember you from your new members post a while back. Wow, you've been doing amazingly well.
I am so happy you've decided to join us. I've never heard of this high-protein program you are doing. It seems successful but, WOW, that is expensive. I did Medifast last year and lost 40 pounds on it, but at $250 a month (still paying off my Discover card for that) it was more than we could afford to keep going with it, plus, I wasn't losing that much in the last month.
I think most high protein diets are the best. Not only do you take weight off at a faster rate than most other diets, but it takes your cravings away for carbs...especially sweets (my downfall). I have been reading more and more about The 17 Day Diet. It sounds very interesting. And I may be starting it soon with my husband. If you do a Google search, you'll find lots of info on it. Also, check it out on Amazon.com, where you can read the reviews about it.
Keeping accountable in a challenge is so important to me. I lost 17.5 pounds during the Halloween challenge because I checked in daily (well, almost daily) and wanted to be sure to report that I was on plan. It really helps, so I'm glad you're here with us. You can do this!!!
Noelle, you are doing great! Two pounds down with only eight to go...no problem for you. Keep it up!

BTW, your avatar is HILARIOUS. I crack up everytime I see it. I told my boyfriend that next year for Halloween I want to be Bella and Edward, and I am going to somehow (not sure how yet) have a baby doll busting out of me like that. Sooo funny.
I am sorry I have not checked in more often. For some reason I am not getting emails when posts come through and I have been crazy busy this week. Corporate was in our building all week. The stress level was a 10. I am happy to say I did not eat my stress away. Instead I chose to start working out. I only did a 20 min workout so far but feel good. Also this week I dropped another.8. That means only 5.8 lbs to my thanksgiving goal
Way to go everybody! Congrats Tab on the goal weight. Congrats to everybody. I have stayed on plan so proud of my self. Off to celebrate on the TM in a bit!
