Doing a quick check in this morning.
Nikkih, I totally agree with you. I will not reach my Thanksgiving goal weight either, but I will be happy with any lose I have.
So "Jingle Those Pounds Off Christmas Challenge" it is! I'll go start that one right now so we can get people signed up before hand. Of course, we'll all still check in here until Thanksgiving.
As of today I've lost 10 lbs since we started. 2 away from my goal. I doubt that I'll lose 2 lbs in the next 2 days but I'm still pushing! If I can come really close I'll still be happy.
What are you guys having for Thanksgiving? I'm not really partaking but I'm cooking a meal and dessert for the kids (since my husband guilted me into it). I think I'm having crab cakes on portabello mushrooms and maybe a sliver of pumpkin pie.

Lambie, you are simply melting away, aren't you? It seems like every day you are losing weight. Woo hoo! Hey, I'd be tickled pink with a 10-pound loss for this challenge. I keep going up and down and am having the hardest time getting under 194. But I'll be happy with any loss right now because my days are so busy right now. Usually when that happens, I go off my diet, but I haven't really...maybe just larger portions though.
I'm so exhausted right now. We host Thanksgiving and, silly us, we decided to re-paint our living room this week, thanks to my sister putting that idea into our heads. First we have to fix all the big cracks on our ceiling and walls that we've been putting off. I know we'll love it once it's done, but it is a lot of work to do in such a short time, with Thanksgiving just 2 days away! Ugh!! Why do I give myself so much to do before such a big event?!?
Anyway, to answer your question about what I plan to eat. I do plan to have a cheat day that day, but I'm going to do my best to keep my portions small. I want to learn to enjoy the company more than the food. But I'm getting right back on track the next day. After all, we've got a Christmas challenge starting the very next day, right?
Lol. I wish I was melting! I still have soooo much more to lose. It seems daunting at times. I'm averaging about 3ish lbs a week since I started. Some less (or none), some more. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that all I have to concentrate on is maintaining the household, taking care of the kids, and losing weight.
I loooove painting! What color are you doing your living room?
And you're right, treat yourself on Thursday and pick right back up on Friday. We're going to kill it in the Christmas challenge.
Congrats to everyone on their loses. I did my final weigh in this morning and I lost 5.4 lbs. I am happy with that .. ever lift a 5 lb bag of sugar? That is some dense stuff.
I am looking forward to the Christmas challenge. Thank you all for the support

Happy turkey day everyone! We finally got done with most of the main home repairs...just in the nick of time. The living room walls are a nice gray-blue. It gives it a more cool and calm look. But I am so exhausted. I think that, along with not being able to exercise very much this month due to the repairs and being sick a couple weeks ago, have made my weight loss small this month. I'm down a total of 4.5 pounds (194.5), though, and that, like Nikkih had mentioned, is nothing to sneeze at. Of course I'll shoot for more next month.
Now, onto the Christmas challenge! See you guys there!!
211.5 this morning! I missed my goal by a lb but it's okay. Very glad that I got so close, especially because I've struggled so much with my emotional eating this month. On to the Christmas Challenge!!
You guys have done great!! It's a challenge to lose anything at this time of year so all of you should be very proud of your accomplishments!
