Smile I am new here and I am up for a challenge!

Hi I am new on 3fc! I am excited to have a challenge and support! I have been struggling with weight for about 10 years now. Over that period I have gotten divorced, remarried, sent a son off to college and working on my other two to get to college. I want to go from Hopelessinharriman to Happy, Hot, H....fill in the blank with anything but Hopeless! So I am looking for friends and connections I can make. I do not have a whole lot of friends in my town as it is somewhat small and most everybody grew up here and I am a "transplant" because of my hubby. I would like to lose 10 lbs by Halloween I believe that is attainable. Are we just counting calories and exercising and being accountable or are you guys following specific guidelines? So excited to be here -Erin

Hi all!

I'm still out here working hard to shed these pesky pounds. Next week, my plan is to boost my cardio up and reduce my carbs. Here's hoping the scale shows me some love on Friday morning!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Welcome Erin and lbell69! We are happy to have you join this challenge. You can do any weight loss and exercise plan you choose. Good luck to you both!

Well, I didn't get the 2.5-pound loss I was hoping for on the scale today (official weigh in is tomorrow though). In fact, I'm up a half pound. But, on the bright side, I'm down 7 inches and 7 pounds since a month ago. I'll take that!

So I've decided that doing the blood type diet is not doing anything for me. It may or may not be doing good things on my inside, but where is the great weight loss and boundless energy I've been hearing about from so many others who do the plan? Back to my modified low carb diet. Yes! Chicken and avocados... here I come!!

Thank you, envelope! It's nice to take your inch loss because lots of times when that darn scale isn't moving it means the inches are coming off.

I forgot to post some pictures from my blog that I took. The first one is of me at the start of my blog journey at 225 pounds, the second after the first month at 213.5 and the last was taken this morning at 206.5. I look less preggers in each picture!

Woo hoo! Today I woke up to a 1.5-pound loss. The only thing I did differently yesterday was have my husband's new dish of zucchini lasagna. No noodle, just zucchini ribbons in their place layered between Ragu sauce, with some added grilled onions and peppers, mozzarella cheese and a little cooked ground beef. OMG!!! It was to die for. In the past, I would have easily gone back for seconds just because it was so delicious, but I really was satisfied with one serving. Even my oldest daughter, who is not a zucchini lover, said it was the best lasagna she ever had.

Even my husband, who had 2 servings of it and is within 5 pounds of his goal weight, lost a pound from yesterday. This is definitely going to be a regular dish in our menu.

Now I wish I would have taken a picture of it to post here like Lindsy did...just to make you all drool.

Have a great week everyone!

Sheesh! I leave for a few days and you all get progressively more awesome, haha. Congratulations on all of the losses this week, and a big welcome to all of the newcomers. It's great to have you all here!
Lindsy- YUM! That omelet looks delicious! My 2-a-days have been slacking, as well But I did get in two of them this week! Glad to hear you survived your encounter with the coyote-- yeek!
Sandy-- WOW! I can see your progress, and it is incredible. Keep up the good work! That lasagna sounds absolutely delicious. Next time I stop by the farmer's market, I'm picking up some zucchini.
As for me, I DID weigh in yesterday, and I was up 3 lbs to 167. I felt/feel terrible, but AF started last night so I'm hoping that some of it is water retention... Really, really hoping that it's water retention.

I think I'm in that same place, Slammer. Auntie Flo is taking her sweet time, but I feel very bloated and a little crampy. But I'm going through perimenopause and she visits whenever she darn well pleases: sometimes every 3 weeks or sometimes every 6 weeks. Her last visit was about 5 weeks ago. Being that I just weighed in today, I really wished she'd just come and get it over with so that I will be in the clear next Monday.

Checking in for today! I started off super! Got up and did the 30 Day Shred. I have logged all my food. The only downer is that I weighed and my starting weight is actually 173 instead of the 170 I thought. Oh well. Onward! I am feeling great. Exercise always makes me feel better. I may even get on the treadmill later! Keep ya'll posted!
