Alright, alright, I'm a LITTLE obsessive. As long as it's working for me, I'm going to continue that way!

You know what cured me of stepping on the scale five times??? Once each time I did, it went UP a couple ounces!! Each and every time! I now take the first number! Like this morning, I was shocked with a new low this morning after being a slug yesterday and I backed far away from the scale after seeing that number.

It's been a great summer you guys!! This challenge has really motivated me to work hard toward my 30 lb goal. I still have 15 to go and I just might make it by Labor Day. I think the start of school is pushing it, but Labor Day just might do it.

Congrats on the 1/2 pound Aleks. I am always pleased to see a downward trend myself. 14 pounds is totally doable. Put your mind to it and go for it!

A downward trend is a downward trend, no matter how slowly it goes! Something I always try to remind myself of when I get frustrated.

Still 241 today, and I had to remind myself when I sighed at seeing the number for the fourth day in a row that I dropped four pounds last week, and there's a *decent* chance I won't necesarilly lose anything this week. I know this. And yet when my scale paused for a second at 240, I almost had a chance to get excited before it went back up to 241 and decided to stay there. And it stayed there all three times or so I weighed myself, too...

But that's okay! I ran W6D3 of C25K today, which involved a whole 25 MINUTES of jogging!!! I made it through just fine, and I feel AWESOME about that!

I woke up with a headache from the wine I had last night. We went to a tapas place for dinner with another couple. I figured since we were sharing and the plates are really small that anything goes, right? Okay, I was justifying my bad choices but it was fun anyway. Hopefully I can make up for it today. Of course missing my step class due to aforementioned head pain is not going to help matters.

ninepaw-I am impressed with your running 25 minutes. You are doing a great job on your program. Congrats!

Ninepaw, 25 minutes is awesome!! You are so close to the finish line now!

I have pushed in a lot of exercise this week, but didn't do any running. I just realized that. I took three 20+ mile bike rides and did Spin class three times this week and a full body workout today. Odd though, I did very little lifting and skipped a spin day because I set the alarm wrong. I am inept at setting the alarm. Usually DH does it because I screw it up every time.

I am officially wearing the size 10's I was hoping to be in by the start of school! My real goal for this here challenge. And I am remain about 15 pounds away from the goal weight I had in mind. I'm still optimistic...

Ooooh, eliana! You're doing so well! And your exercise load makes me feel like a little bit of a slacker... LOL

Today I got on the scale... And I saw 239! All three times I got on! Now, I dunno how excited I can really get about this, since I barely ate anything yesterday.... Cereal in the morning around 9, then dinner around 7:30 which consisted of 3 pieces of pizza, a breadstick, a little macaroni and cheese, and a little of some pesto pasta thing...(Pizza buffet.... Ack!), but hey, I'll enjoy it while it's there! Plus, it's a little nice to see the number move down still, considering TOM just started. I've never been one to gain or get stuck during TOM... But I always know it's a possibility, so when I lose and it starts.... Yeah, I can deal!

Hope everyone has a fabulous, skinny weekend!

I wouldn't make a habit of that. Now I want pizza.

Yeah, no.... Definitely not habit! It was just where I was, and the whole... super hungry from not eating all day thing... Hahaha. Resist the pizza! Do it because I didn't have the energy to care enough to think of something else to eat at that point last night!

Wow, lotsa great updates in this thread - weight loss, new clothes sizes, hangovers.

I completed my first 5K yesterday!

You can read about it in this thread or if you want to read the long version you can read this blog post.

My weight loss still pretty much sucks. I lost .08 this week but I'm still stuck in that 222-224 loop. Aaaaargh! And what's really annoying is that this week I wasn't real careful about food and I didn't fill in my food log...and I lost. I do not understand what my body is doing. My clothes are falling off, so at least I know something good is happening. Oh, and I can't blame my scale anymore, because a friend tinkered with it and he said there was some calibration thingy that needed adjusted or something. He said it should be working fine now.

Hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend. Think skinny thoughts!

Rochester-WooHoo! You are awesome. I read about the race on your blog. Very cool. When is your next race? Try not to sweat the pound thing. I have not lost anything in a while either. I am hoping to get back on track this week. Do you count calories?

ninepaw-Yeah for losing AGAIN!

Eliana-Wow, you get some serious exercise in. Good for you.

Since I missed the step class, I ended up jogging on the treadmill for 30 minutes yesterday. I was really happy to see my recovery rate has improved. I would love to see it get better but I am relieved to see the improvement. This week I am going to really try to lose some weight. I have been having way too much food fun in the last month and it is time to put on the brakes.I would love to move my ticker one of these days!

I am SO excited to go read your blog post about your race, Rochester!

Terapet, good for you for still fitting in a workout. Way to keep yourself moving despite missing the original plan!

As for me... The scale moved down AGAIN today. 238!? That would make for 28 pounds lost. Two pounds away from the 30 pound mark.... I can't even believe it!!! So freaking excited.

ninepaw-Sweet. Just two pounds. Almost there!

My goal today is to stay on my eating plan for a change. I mean on the money. Not close or a little over, I want a perfect day!
