February Exercise Challenge
It's February already, my goodness, and if you fell off the new resolution bandwagon in January here's the perfect opportunity to jump right back on. And to all our returning ladies, let's keep pushing the envelope a bit, challenge ourselves and see what's possible.
To those of you who would like to join in....please feel free. All are welcome and we are here to post our minutes/goals to hold ourselves accountable and to help support and encourage one another. We all have various goals and different fitness levels, there is no wrong or right here whether it be 10 min. a day or walk 3x a week, etc. We tailor our workouts according to our own best individual needs. The girls here rock and are very supportive so if you should be just starting out don't hesitate. Exercise goals will be listed listed here, while weight loss goals, etc. will be listed in our sister thread, "February Weight Loss Challenge". |
Hmmm, what to do, what to do. My marathon training will start Feb 28 so I will leave that goal until March. This month I'm going to concentrate on strength training since running 5-6 days a week is going to strip off at least a little muscle. That being said...

I got derailed for a couple months there. I hope you chicks don't mind if I jump back in now that I'm back on track.
Feb. Exercise Goals: 1. Workout at least 6 days per week 2. Finish Round 1 of Smart Girls Do Dumb bells and do first 1/2 of round 2 3. Get my yearly miles total to at least 167 4. Get my yearly crunch total to at least 1667 5. Not give up on the 100 push-ups challenge |

I am just starting out so my goal may be small compared to most and yes, I am the QUEEN of excuses but I have a wedding to attend in less than one month and I refuse to buy an outfit until I am down at least one size!
For this month, I am going to ride 50 miles a week for a total of 200 miles. For me, that WILL be a HUGE goal! I can't post a pic or a link to it because I am new to posting but it currently reads 1000.0 miles. As soon as I have enough posts I will come back and put a link to the pic in! I can do 200 miles!! And maybe MORE! :carrot: |
I'm in. I was 130 minutes shy of my goal of 1400 minutes in January, so I'm going to try that again.

I missed my January goal of 1,860 minutes (1 hr/day) by 355 minutes. But - that being said, I'm going to try again. It's a GOAL, after all. Maybe an unattainable one, but still... I pushed myself more than I would have without this goal in January.
That will include 3x/week Body Pump class, 3x/week run/walking a 5K and various other yoga classes and long brisk walks. GOAL: 1,680 minutes in February. (If I achieve this, my ticker will be at 3,185 minutes) |
