Hey Girls!! Sorry I have been MIA, I have been running CRAZY!! Last night the game didnt end until 8:30 and we didnt get home until 9, then baths, etc and it was 10 :30 before we fell asleep. I managed to get in 13 mins on a stationary bike and thats it. :( Oh well 13 is better than nothing. I FINALLY got some sleep Wed. night, but I cheated and took an OTC sleeping pill. I finally got the sleep I needed and felt great Thurs morning. I had been up and down the previous 2 nights.
BUT.............Big news is..I lost another 3.5 lbs for a total of 8.5 lbs!!!!!!! 1.5 lbs away from my valentines goal. TTYL!! Niki |

Ok, it's been a while since I've posted on this thread, but I thought I would give a little update. I've been really good about staying OP for the most part...the cup of whole wheat couscous last night may have been pushing it. :-) Maybe half a cup would have been better, but it was my only starch of the day, so I figure it was pretty good of me - right? I'm up a little early (dog getting sick woke me up) so I'm going to try for a full hour of wii fit before work. V-day challenge... SW: 200 CW: 194.6 (-5.4 whoohoo!) GW: 185 |

Today I have a meeting and then take my mother to the store...which means dinner out most likely because she shops all day. Thats fine. I will behave. By the time I get home and get my son ready for bed I'm goingto be beat, hope I have the energy to go for a spin on the s/bike! Have a great day everyone! |

How are you ladies? It was great to read your posts, as always. I am ok here, hanging in there. Yesterday was an off day for me (i was down). I did some research on smoking cessation etc. and weight and basically was frustrated with a few things.......guess I am going to have my days. I needed to change my mindset fast or I would and will be in trouble, so I did a little more reading (positives) and did some rethinking regarding my plan of attack. I did start working out on the treadmill and I am doing very well with that, ty ty to all of you for the insipiration and for the thread, I love it! Apparently, I need to walk at least 40 min. a day just to keep my metabolism where it was before when I smoked. ok, so be it! I have been splitting up my workouts into sessions. I was keeping a close eye on the scale this past week ladies and it's frustrating me big time so I think I am going to have to put the scale away for a bit. I have also been keeping a diary and writing everything that passes my lips. I definitely can improve in the calorie sector and in that area so I will be working on that this week. Basically, I need to give myself some time and not get too obsesses with the numbers or scale right now (and improve where I can like the eating) or it may ultimately be my downfall........can't let that happen...so anyways, that's my plan girls , sorry to ramble like this. I think everyone is doing wonderful, let's keep on truckin : ) You know something? I am going to post this incase I lose my connection and I will be right back! lol :) |

Christian, hi there girl! :) ty again for that exercise thread, it has been a tremendous help. Oh, regarding the wii fit and walmart. Last weekend we went there and they were out, the guy said when it comes in they sell out within 2 hours! wow! The other store said they are out and wont have any for a few weeks, high demand for sure! Whoever invented that must be sitting real pretty right now! lol. I scraped and shoveled some ice yesterday too, only for a half and hour and boy is that a workout alright! You burn a lot of cals doing that. That was awfully nice of your coworker giving you the vitamins and you remind me to take mine too! Sometimes a little pick me up is in order during those just blah times, whatever that may be. It can help get the mindset back. I am sorry that I have been missing the last two days, just super, super busy running around. Sounds like there have been some really big losses!!! Way to go Niki and Bexx!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: Fullsteam~ We all have our days when this seems virtually impossible. You are facing two really big challenges and have to know that there will be good days and bad. The best is that you are getting in your exercise, doing your journal, and coming here for support and encouragement!! We are here for you and you are doing great!!! :cheer2: Jaya~Awesome job on the vitamins. I read another thing today that says we are supposed to get 400 IU of Vitamin D everyday, especially if we are exercising. That is like a half-gallon of milk so I am trying to be really faithful to my multi-vitamin as one of my New Year's resolutions. (OK, maybe that is my only resolution! :D ) I got in a short workout last night but then really blew things up today by skiing for 4+ hours. There was virtually no one on the mountain so it was ski down, jump on lift, ski down, jump on lift, ski down,..... My legs were burning rocks by the end and I am planning on going back for more tomorrow! :dizzy: I probably won't be able to walk by this time Saturday. Family is home so I've got to run! Happy to report a 2# loss this week so staying OP works! :hug: to all!!! |

Well today I am doing oky doke....I didnt get to the treadmill today because I have so much work. That means that I am going to work out tomorrow after I clean. You would all hit me on the head :rollpin: because I have 5 exercise machines at home. The ab lounge, a trampoline, health rider, some kind or ab chair, and a treadmill. Ya, so there is NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO reason why I cant get my butt on one of them this weekend...hahahahha |
Hey ladies. Today was busy, so I didn't get on 'til now, but good news! I lost 1.4# today...finally a break in my weight. I'd been at a bit of a standstill for a few days. AND I finally worked out today!! I got back to 30 day shred. I don't know why, but today just clicked for me and I feel like I'm getting back to pre-Christmas form. I am still 7.6 from my V-day goal, but I am confident that I can get there.

OK, just warning you all from the start that this is a bit of a rant. :tantrum:
I am just super hugely annoyed at the :devil: scale today. (Aside: Why don't we have a bad scale smilie?) Anyway, so I usually have my official weigh in on Friday and post the news that day but weigh myself everyday just to keep on track. So, this week I weighed on Wednesday and was down 2 pounds and then didn't have time to weigh on Thursday or Friday so I used Wednesday's weight. OK, following me here??? SOOOO, today I get on the scale and it is UUUUUPPPPP 2.5 pounds!!!!! What the heck????? :?: I don't lose 2.5 pounds in 2 days. How am I gaining it in 2 days??? And, I have been exercising and eating OP! :mad: So, I am going to up my water over the weekend and be really strict on the food but I am just sooooo annoyed. It doesn't help that I was at 160 on Wednesday and was poised to get into the 150's for the first time in at least a decade so I was really, really psyched! OK, that's it. Just a rant to start the morning. And no, I am not changing the stupid *&%$#** ticker!!! |
urockmom- Ok, so I know how you feel, happens to me all the time, and usually it can be blamed just on simply being a woman :eek: Our weight can fluctuate up to 2 pounds or more just depending on the time of month...is it close for you?? If not it can be as simple as your muscles retaining water from exercising and that has happened to me too, when I was at Curves, never the less, it isnt real weight and it will be gone probably by morning or before, hang in there sis :hug:

Fullsteam- Hey sis :D Well I am with you...40 minutes on that treadmill is worth it if it helps you keep from smoking and keeps your metabolism going strong, I just want you healthy and quitting smoking is an awsome way to reach that goal :yes: Hattie- I am obsessed too, I cant wait to get high speed internet then I can check it as often as I want too ;) Jaya- Which lucky piece of equitment will it be today sis??? I have a treadmill, a bike a weightbench and a wii fit here too and it looks like the wii has replaced most of them for me , I have a whole workout room and there is no excuse for me either, we will just have to remind each other of that from time to time ;) Ms perception- Way to go on the 1.4 pounds lost :carrot: You are just doing wonderful too, Is the 30 day shred as hard as it looks?? Well here are my stats for the week 12-27-08 My Birthday!! :carrot: 158.5 YIKES!! 1-3-09 157.5 1-10-09 156.5 so 1 more pound down, and 2 more to go, I am happy with that too because I am not doing any sort of eating plan other than moderation at the moment and exercising, hope everyone has a great weekend and know I am here cheering for you all the way :cheer: |

Christie-The shred is no walk in the park, that's for sure.:lifter: But when time is limited it REALLY hits the spot for an effective workout!
Here's my official post for the weekly weigh-in: 1-3: N/A 1-10: 186.6 I ate a Chinese last night:hun:, but made a good choice...chicken, veggies and rice. I think it may have held me in place weight-wise, though. At least I feel motivated to be active again. The lack of motivation was the really frustrating thing about this past week. I have you ladies to thank for getting me out of that funk!!:thanks: |
