Wow! I cannot believe how time has flown by this past few weeks, I can honestly say I need this challenge more than before :lol: I ate too much over Christmas and I am ready to start fresh and continue on this journey to health and wellness, I hope to see all you ladies join back in from the Thanksgiving and Christmas challenges...we are like family now and I cannot wait to see your success :hug: So here are my stats as of this morning...let me warn you ...I gained back alot over the last week and a half and I am quite ashamed of it, but had I not done the other challenges I am sure I would be 10-15 pounds heavier than I am now :eek:

Hi everyone! I got an elliptical for Christmas. Boy does that :kickbutt:. Just what I needed to keep me going. I start out by doing 30 min. on the treadmill and then break for about 10 minutes and then get on the elliptical for a 20 min. workout. That is the beginner stage. I also got the Jillian Michaels wii fit game. Just tried a little last night and it looks like it will be fun. I am still eating OP even though there is a lot of candy...etc.. around the house. My son is here with his girlfriend and I am really enjoying it!! They leave on Monday which makes me sad. I am off work for a week and plan on exercising my butt off. WHO WANTS TO JOIN ME??

I am at 216 right now. For Valentines Day, I want to be 206. 10 lb goals are hard but I am going for it! I can't wait to get to the halfway point..50lbs!

Happy Birthday Christie!!!:hug: I spent a lot of money on this gift but I know you will appreciate it. :D Your :gift:from me is :belly: outfit. I know you will look beautiful in it and belly dancing is great exercise. Sorry about the weight gain. :(

Hattie, You have been working so hard, 206 is right around the corner. I think the elliptical is killer exercise. I really feel like I get a good workout in when I'm done. We bought the Wii and the boxing really is exhausting. I'm excited that my kiddos have an indoor activity the really gets them moving.

I'm excited for this clean slate. I need to actively start losing weight again. Feb 17th is when I began my weight loss journey. I would love to be 140lb on that date. I weighed on Thurs and the scale said 156 the next AM I started TOM. UGH! Christie, I love the exercise accountability idea. I need to be challenged and posting for all to see will really help. My goals are drink 64ozs. water, 100 minutes exercise/week and lose 16lbs.
Okay and since this is :val1:The Valentine's Day Challenge :val1:I have asked my DH to join me. He won't be posting but I will post his goals with mine so we can motivate one another.

Well yesterday was kinda a food trainwreck and today is looking great so I am ready to start the Micheal Thurman plan again and get the pounds back off...hope you all have a wonderful day and I will report in a little later :hug:

Hi I'd love to join. I've fallen off the wagon again:( and need to get my behind back on track. I think this challenge will be just what I need. I weighted in today and am at 312.8 grrrrrrrrr. My goal for this challenge is out of the 300's for good but for now I'll set my goal at 302.8 and hopefully make it out of the 300's.

Count me in for this challenge. I would love to lose another 10lbs by Valentines day. Right now I want to work extra hard to lose between 1.5 to 2lbs a week.

Good morning ladies!!!!
WOOHOO for the Valentines challenge!!! and its my anniversary!!!!!
I am sooo ecited to get back on track.
I messed up majorly over the holidays.
I just feel really in the mood to start seeing lower 3's on the scale.
I weighed myself............................................ ...........................
135.
I weigh the same I weighed when I pretty much dropped out on the Thanksgiving challenege.
How sad is that? I was really disspaointed to see tht number.
Its ok though. I'm onna fix it.
I plan on posting everything I eat, if I dd good or bad to keep myself on check.
I plan on brushing the dust off that elliptical and using it at leat 4 days a week. I will aslo be using the wii fit and posting all the exercise I do. I also plan on drinking lots and lots of water. I have always been someone who drank about 2 glassesof water a ady. Super bad I know.
Anyway. I'm excited!!!!
I'll come back this evening to post what I ate and exercise! Good luck to you all today.

I've never done a challenge and would love to join in this one!

I'm going to work my butt off and hopefully reach my goal weight of 155 (but would be very pleased with 160).

Right now I'm bouncing between 168-170, I'll make my official start weight what I weigh this Saturday.

I already got a great workout in this morning (lots of cardio), now I just have to eat clean all day.

evening ladies.
I thought today would be good... I was motivated.
I dont know what happened. I didnt make any good filling healthy meals so I snacked all day. here's todays food.

2 bags healthy pop popcorn ( not healthy when you eat 2 bags lol)
chocolate ice cream
cashews
banana
summer sausage and cheese on crackers

Dont know how many cals that is... I'm sure a lot though.

I did a little exercise.... some squats ... thats about it.
Ugh tomorrow is another day.

Ok, I'm in! I don't have a Wii but I do have a gym membership so that will work! LOL! I haven't done a challenge since "Beat The Bulge", a couple years ago.Now I'm back full force!

Today went well for me yay! The only thing I had that was slightly off plan was a few bites of frozen yogurt (pry 30 calories). Tomorrow will be a very busy day so eating shouldn't be a problem (I'm a boredom eater) but finding time to get a good workout in might be tough (right now I'm planning on going to a spin class if I get off work in time).

Everyone has such a positive attitude this will be great!

Icandoit29- :welcome: You can post wjatever helps you to reach your goals sis, if you want to post food and it helps keep you accountable then feel free to post it, and exercise is the same, I know for me personally it helps to post my exercise at least, it pushes me to be sure to do it ;)

Neast- Sure you can just put up the weight you want to lose :yes: I am sure you are going to do wonderful....and I am with you with the Wii fit..I got in a hour yesterday too...dont you just love it??? :D

back at it- :welcome: I just know you will do great, be sure to post your gym workouts...I love going to the gym myself ;)

Yes I am...day 1 was yesterday plus i worked my behind in cardio and strengths. i felt good afterwards. this is a good sign.

I would like to join the challenge.... I have been on and off with this site because I really want to lose the weight...I like that everyone on here is so very supportive. I went to the doctor last month and they told me that I need to lower my cholesterol because it is too high. Because of my bad eating habbits my daughter who just turned 16 kind of gained a little of weight. She wants to lose 40 pounds. She has already started on the tread mill and changing her eating habits only she knows that it will benefit her. So, now that I have her going on the right track of eating healthy and daily exercise her weight will just fall off because she is still young. Practice what I preach right...yep...so that is why I am here. I had my daughter take a photo of me, and so my jaw kind of dropped because I didn't realize that my appearance was so not the real me. So, putting both feet down, and keeping my chin up....I am ready... I like that the goal that is set is very reasonable. I need to lose at least 105 to 110 pounds. But I will start with smaller goals so that I do not get discouraged. I will submit my photo later when I get home..

I too have a daughter who is trying to lose weight with me, she only needs to lose 15 pounds, but my oldest needs to lose about 75 and I am hoping that watching me and my youngest inspires her to join us, I am also in agreement with you when it comes to setting small goals, that is how I started out too, and it works awsome, plus you feel more motivated to hit that next one :D That cholesterol will be in check before you know it :hug:

:hug: Thank you :) Yes I only think that my daughter needs to lose like 20 but she would like to lose a little more. I think that because of my eating habbits put her in a same situation, however being that she is young it is best that she starts now, so that it will not be harder for her as the years go by. When I was her age I was very thin, and was always riding a bike eating pretty ok for the most part...but after I my kids that is where I think I changed. I forgot about me ...and focused on them. My son is going to be 18 in August, and my daughter has just turned 16. Then I must have stuck my pampering me time in a closet. So, I am sure it is all dusty now, and needs to get the cobwebs out, and start the cleansing. :)

Today I did 45 min, on the treadmill and worked with resistance bands for 10 min. Didn't get a chance to get to the wii yet...maybe tonight. That elliptical is a beast! What a good workout. I decided to take the day off it for today. I will try to tackle the beast tomorrow. Yesterday I did 30 min. on the elliptical with JMichaels (iFit) card. Still eating OP.

I did 1 hr on the Wii Fit tonight then played around with my daughter on her We Cheer game. I didnt do so well at lunch, but I had a bagel and yogurt for supper, so that should help make up for it!! I am worried when I go back to work next week I wont be able to exercise for one hour a day, but I will make sure I get in at least 30 mins.

Oh my gosh, I have missed so much time, so many posts! It's been crazy around here the past few weeks, things are finally simmering down. I know I sound like a broken record by now but I really need to get myself on that treadmill (it's already almost January!) and as a means of a constructive stress reducer as well. Christian, I am sorry for being so late, I read the posts! :bday2you: I hope you had a beautiful day! great going girl in every respect. Did you just get the wii fit too or did you have it? I have been hearing so much about it lately, the girl at the vets was telling me about it too. That item is so hot, it's hard to find. Dh tried to find me one, maybe they will restock now. How do you like it Christian? From what I can gather, it appears to be a fun and not boring at all! Regarding doing the plan with your daughter and setting an example, I think that is wonderful! :) keep it rockin girl.

urockmom , hi : ). How is everything going with you? Geez girl, we are due for another storm tomorrow. Dh and I went and got some groceries and ran errands so we would not have to run out tomorrow. So tired, glad we got it done and need not worry about it tomorrow. W e were planning to maybe go out to dinner but that remains to be seen, we have back up planned for staying here at home. Don't forget about that shoreline walk in good weather okay? :)

Lene, how are you???? Boy , do I miss you guys! I am okay now but the little " fur ball" got diagnosed with cancer. We have been running to specialists and docs and testing and researching (prior 2 week s or so). It is so hard lene but we are coming to grips with it and have finally based our decision on speaking to docs, etc. etc. Doing the best we can for h im right now and fortunately he is feeling very fine today! :) we are trying a new med on him. I hope all is well with you and that you had a nice holiday season. How is your health regiment going?

As for me my dear ladies, planwise I have been completely not OP during Christmas week! I totally got lost in carb heaven and whatever else. Time to get back in gear. I went to the market the other day and got all my healthy stuff for the plan (ph1 of SBD). My goal is to lose 12 lbs. from my last lowest weigh in! Other goals are to get my water intake in and start the freaking treadmill! lol :) In my mind, spring is just right around the corner....even though we are in the midst of winter here (in mass), I know the time will fly and it will be spring before we know it. That is a very pleasant thought for me as I just loooooooove the mild and warm weather but also a wake up call in that it's time to seriously buckle down now!

I hope everyone has an awesome New year filled with love, health, and happiness! I will be writing, one of my goals is to write regardless of what may or may not take place and to be consistent, I hate losing touch. Ty for being here and ty for the tremendous support and inspiration! :hug:

Today was a success for me. Stayed on plan with food and burned about 700 calories in spin (lost at leat a pound of sweat)! Tomorrow I'm hoping for another successful day, the New Years celebration might put a wrinkle in things so I'm going to save a few hundred calories for a beer or two. I'll be sure to load up on water as well. Happy almost New Years all!

Two TOM in one month???? I think that was my problem. I gained 12lbs in two weeks, had three bad headaches (still have one) and I just got two pimples today. I'm down 6.2lbs in two days. Wonderful!

I'm done with my exercise for the day and now have to watch my calories. I'm running errands all day so that shouldn't be difficult. Then it's party time!
