It is going to be okay Julie. Just dust the cookies crumbs off and start over. Today's a new day.

Thank you. Those aren't cookie crumbs, though. That's pie!

Default Tuesday

Eiluj...We also had two roosters, the dominate one beat the other one up all the time so we ate him and left the intimated one. What a mistake, we killed the wrong one. We called him "Yellow Legs" (the timid one left) and as soon as he took over the hens he wouldn't let us get near the chickens. He attacked DH a couple of times but never told me. One day I was out feeding them as he tried to attack me.........well, you can guess what happened to him too! Mighty tasty stew! I don't blame you for being a tiny bit afraid, they can be vivicious.
Love&Laugh...just live by your user name. I'm sorry to hear of DH's weight and his denial of it. At least he's supportive of you. You probably eat at different times so you don't have to look at his Big Mac's, etc. I get hungry for pizza too, I just made some for myself yesterday morning for breakfast. Yes, you read that right, BREAKFAST!
Thomas light English Muffin...100 calories
Pizza sauce...15 calories
Turkey Pepperoni(8 slices)...40
Mozzarella cheese...30 calories total: 185 calories and very filling.
Webweevil.. - Sam Elliot the actor in Roadhouse, yes. You can't tell very well by the picture but he gets the comment all the time. I sent his picture into Live with Regis and Kelly for the look-alike contest of famous people but we didn't get called.
Everyone else, keep on posting. Besides posting our calories, maybe we should post the foods (or drinks in my case) that put us over our calorie goal. What ya all think?

Or perhaps one week we should post our breakfasts, another week our lunches, another week our dinners, and then maybe snacks and keep on rotating them. Your breakfast sounds yummy and it's a great idea. I for one am always up for expanding my menu. I tend to repeat the same meals over and over again. Not that I'm complaining - much- it DOES keep me on track. I'm just TERRIFIED that I will get sick and tired of what I'm eating and then...................oooh I don't even wanna go there.

Default Good Idea!

I like that idea of posting breakfast one week, lunch the next, then our evening meals, Dinner/supper. I'm from the old school and our night time meal was always called supper and dinner was at noon. Posting snack too!
I'm up for seeing whatever anybody else eats, it will keep my menu from getting boring!

Hi everyone. I didn't count for the last few days. Big mistake but I'm back to counting again. Does anyone ever feel like it's just to much work?

I had to change my counter. I am up 9 pounds It really kills me to be up over 200 again. Hopefully I can get back on track.

Tuesday: 1361 calories, 1056 deficit

Valerie -- You'll get there! Just think...about month or so from now, you can look back & be really proud of yourself for getting back on track That's one little trick I've used to keep me semi-sane.

Hello!

Hope you don't mind if I join in. I posted on the "support" forum when I was feeling pretty upset about my weight gain, and I got of lot of helpful suggestions regarding calorie counting, fit day, etc. I thought I'd try to find a group here on 3FC that was into the same thing, and here you all are!

A short bit about me: I'm 35, 5'6", and as of this morning 188.5 lbs. Although my goal is to be healthy and at a healthy weight (I want to be able to run an entire 5k), my other looming goal is to fit into a wedding dress that isn't a tent, before my wedding in October of next year.

Thanks in advance, for letting me sneak in.

Default Welcome SmartButt!

Yes, please join us. This group is small enough where we're all getting to know each other.
Valerie Joy...I have a sister named Valie, ever heard of that name before? (She was born on Valentine's day) In answer to your question about too much work recording your calories, it's not work anymore. I did join Fitday and record everything I eat, but I got tired of going through the long list of food. (Very time consuming) I started posting the common, everyday items I use in the list to the right. (under the custom feature) Then I just click and drag the food item over to my daily food column. Today I made a casserole with last nights leftover Elk roast, after adding up the total calories in the whole casserole, I weighed it and figured out how many calories per oz. Then under custom, I just named it "Elk Casserole" and changed the serving size to oz. and put in 17 for the calories. I didn't bother with the carb, sodium, etc. I had 8 ounces of the casserole tonight, 8 oz. X 17 calories per ounce= 126 calories. Any leftovers I'm going to feed to DH tomorrow but if I did eat some, it would be easy to just click and drag the Elk Casserole listed under the custom over to my daily food column and fill in the ounces. All these little tricks take the work out of counting calories. When the casserole is gone, I'll just delete it.
Does any of this make sense to you?

you look awesome Oneperdecade!! Keep up the great work your an inspiration!!

1230 cal in no exercise. was a little high on calories this week on some days so I had to have some low days to average out. We'll see on wednesday if it made the difference. My scale read 179 this evening which it never does it's usually 5 pounds higher in the evening than the morning. I am hoping for weight loss this week!

I don't always bother putting everything in Fitday. BUt I am always, always aware of each and every calorie that goes in my mouth. At this point I have a mental fitday in my head. I basically eat the same few things anyway everyday. It makes it much easier. And then I go through it again in my head when I'm ready to post my calories here. When I really need Fitday is on the weekends and other times that I'm not as routined as during the week.

Welcome SmartButt. Glad to have you on board. The more the merrier!!!!

Was running around like a mad woman yesterday. I've been looking for clothing for some upcoming holiday dinners. And I keep buying and returning, buying and returning. I am making myself crazy. And I am still not happy with my purchases. Thinking of making another trip to the mall, perhaps early Friday morning, cause I must actually do some work these next 2 days. I have been so neglectful. I simply can not push it off any longer. Business taxes are due today and I haven't even begun to look at it. Yikes, I'm in trouble.

Since I was running around like crazy I didn't drink as much as I should have, or eat as much as I should have. When I was at the mall yesterday, once early in the morning and then again in the evening, I was sooo tempted to get something to eat there, but I resisted.

So Tuesday's calories: Less then 1100.

Have a great day everyone.

Default Fitday Wake Up Call

Geeeez, I haven't been a member of Fitday very long, 9 days to be exact and just this morning really took a good look at the Overview. Yesterday I burned a total of 2,277 calories, consumed 1,087 calories. I thought that was pretty good until I looked at the pie chart. 1/2 of the chart was FAT.
74 grams or 61% fat calories and I thought NO WAY. The culprit was the 1/2 cup of Blue Bunny SF Ice Cream, 55gram of fat. Someone mentions why bother eating it if it was sugar free, I won't bother again. Not because it doesn't taste good, (It's delicious) but the fat is outrageous!
My calories were under my goal again so I drank 1 Tablespon of Olive Oil before going to bed to up my calories, that added 14 grams of fat, but good fat.
The Fitday is really helpful and Free, I'd pay if I had to. My fiber was at 150% and Vitamin D at 0. How do you get the required amount of vitamin D. Then I checked out my vitamins. I take quite a few vitamins a.m./p.m. My mulitiple Vitamin has 400 I.U./100% of D plus I take Calcium Citrate+D which adds another 400 I.U./100% I wish there was a way to journal our vitamins at Fitday. Oh, I just had a brain storm.......... I'm going to put them on the "New Custom" section. See, I answered my own question, what a dork I am. I'm going to do that right now....see ya all!

Default Fitday Vitamins

IT WORKS! I just put all the supplement facts in, then checked out my overview chart and my vitamin D is at 100%.
