  • Because I'm a dork and like being the first to post the new topic.

I've been doing pretty well with the calories, and am down a couple more pounds; merry early Christmas to me!

How are we doing today, ladies?
  • So far, so good

Just working towards that elusive "healthy BMI"....that will be my Christmas present to myself
  • Hello ladies... I'm not really new - long time lurker, but I decided I should get my butt in gear since the month is changing and start posting. I've been doing this for 2 months shy of a year now, counting calories. I've lost about 67 lbs or something and just working on the last 10-20. I am doing 1400-1650 calories a day because I have a high level of activity. Nice to meet you all.
  • sakuya3834 WTG, you are so close. I can't wait until I get that close.

I'm doing well and proud of myself for what I have lost. I weigh in on Monday and want at least 1 lb gone. If that happens I will have lost 50 and it has taken a year to do it. I want to lose another 10-15 by December 16th as that is my hubby's company Christmas party and that will put me down at least one more size.

This week has sucked though because we have had really bad weather with snow and ice so I haven't been able to get to the gym to do my workout. I knew i was gonna miss on Tuesday so I did both my cardio and weights on Monday. I had no clue I wouldn't be able to get them done the rest of the week. Monday starts a new week though and I will be making sure that I get there.
  • I'm new and would like to join : - ) I'm aiming for 1200-1400 calories this month. Once a week I would like to add in a 1600 calorie day.
  • Welcome everyone! I lurked for about a year before I finally jumped onboard last month

    Today's calories: 1173 in
3775 out (I kicked serious butt on the elliptical!)
    2602 deficit!!!!!!!
  • 2090 today. I ate the ice cream that has been calling to me.

But I'm okay with that. I still hit some other goals. I got my exercise in. I got my water in. If I were perfect, I'd be boring, right?
  • 1476 calories yesterday. Did 30 minutes of step ups and 5 minutes of jump rope.
  • Argh, I had approximately 2100 calories yesterday, though that's just a guess as I don't really know how many calories the fried cheese empanadas had (that DH's grandmother forced on me). I did aim high though with the calorie counting; I try to be honest with myself. So, not such a great day at all! Luckily I did 35 minutes on the cardio machines and 30 minutes weights/abs. While I did lose a pound in the past week, I still was back up 2 pounds, so what have I really gained except more fat?! What a waste. This is very slow going for me, I just wish I could get my eating more under control like a lot of you ladies on here. I am so impressed with some of the calorie counts! I tend to have about 2 to 3 really good days each week (plus 4 days of exercise for over an hour), but that just enables me to lose about .5 to 1 net pound (after all the gaining and losing during the week). Ugh!
  • Hi everyone!

    I found the december thread!

I had a good day today!

Saturday: 1492 calories, 1327 deficit, 45 minutes cardio
  • So here we are again. We can do it!! 1600 calories in 90 minutes exercise
  • 1810 for Saturday. And we bought a treadmill!
  • day 102 = 1270 calories
    day 103 = 1300 calories

eiluj, I hope you like your treadmill. I love mine!
  • Last week averages:
    Cal in:2079
    Cal out:3108
    Cal balance:-1028 right on target.

    Ran 21.1 miles, biked 20 minutes, yoga 1hr 15, weights 1 hr 45

So - for those of you that have been doing fitday for awhile, how close does the balance track with how fast you actually lose? When I was doing it before I always had to change my "activity level" to "bed ridden" and just add in my exercise to make it somewhat close. This time I tweaked it until it was 500 calories higher than bedridden to adjust for nursing. Too soon to tell how well it is tracking on average.

I think I will. I already used it twice today!
