Well, I weighed in at my TOPS meeting last night with a 3.5-pound loss, so I am down 5 pounds in 2 weeks--calorie cycling is definitely doing me some good!
I'm chickening out, kick me in the pants.

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday were very low cal days for me. Thursday was about normal. So today I'm trying to up my calories. But the reason I chickened out is because LAST week I ate like a little piggie and was 141 Monday morning. So it's almost as though I'm afraid to eat. However, I did something I told myself I'd NEVER do - weighed myself the morning after my biggest meal of the week, which is Sunday dinner. That was really stupid. I NEVER weigh myself on Monday's, I don't know what I was thinking.

But... today I'm trying. I normally take in between 1200-1300 calories and so far, unless I eat anymore (and this is with dinner included in the mix) I'll get about 1500.

LLV, consider this your kick in the pants! hehe

I went CRAZY yesterday and had almost 4000 calories, but I was SO low at the beginning of the week that I can still have up to 2300 today and tomorrow (each!) and still reach my goal of 1800 or less per day. Of course, I'm going to have to drink all that sodium out of my system...here's what I had yesterday:
  • biscuit with 2 sausage patties and scrambled eggs (no cheese or butter)
  • small carton of chocolate milk (to avoid the 400-calorie flavored milks in the bottles!)
  • 2 slices extra cheesy pizza
  • Ruby Tuesday Asian steamed dumplings (not too bad for you, and I split the app with Jeff, so I only had half the calories )
  • Ruby Tuesday Smokehouse burger (burger w/bacon, cheese, bbq sauce, and onion straws) with fries and not 1 but THREE glasses of regular Sprite
So yeah, all very highly-processed foods in large amounts brought me up to 3880 calories for yesterday.

And TODAY, we went to Denny's (Jeff's pick), where I got:
  • Moons Over My Hammy (egg, ham, and 2 cheeses on toast) and fries with honey mustard (with diet coke this time so as not to add on liquid calories like last night!)
Denny's and Ruby Tuesday both have calories on their websites, so at least I know I accounted for everything accurately Plus, we didn't get up and moving till way late, so it's almost 8pm, so I probably won't have many more calories today (I also had a no-sugar-added fudgesicle at home, so I'm at about 1305 calories for today so far).

Yeah, it's a lot of fat for one day, but I also have a lot of days where my fat % is way below 20, so I think I'll survive

Anywho, I topped off yesterday a bit below 3000 calories and ended the week with an average of 1780 per day, right about on target Now to chug the water and get rid of thie sodium build-up from the wekend

As long as it's not every day, you'll be fine

I have higher-fat days myself. Like Saturday when I ate the crunchy skin off my husband's piece of KFC chicken. He pulled the skin off. I ate it.

lol

Never never never get me and fried chicken in the same room. You could lead me to a cliff with the stuff.

I went to subway today and I tried the sweet onion chicken teriyaki..It's was really good...I got it on wheat bread with no cheese with veggies..

OMG - I love the skin off fried chicken...It's better than the chicken itself

Oh, man, that is my ULTIMATE favorite! I do the same--I get it with no cheese, and I'm super-picky about veggies, so I only get lettuce. The peopl who work there always think I'm so easy because it's just the bread, chicken, lettuce, and sweet onion sauce I see people ahead of me in line sometimes who get like a MILLION things on their subs...man, I could never work there--I'd snap and start yelling at people to make their own damn subs if they're gonna be so picky!

Yesterday was HORRIBLE for me food-wise. My intended low-cal day turned into a WAY high-cal day. I haven't even put it all into Fitday yet--I'm sort of afraid to, but I know I have to face the music. I sure paid for it, though--I felt quite sick laying in bed last night, so I drank a small bottle of water and felt even WORSE, so I had a can of ginger ale (Jeff's) to help settle my stomach, which just added even more calories, but it did help me feel better enough to at least fall asleep. Ugh, must remember that feeling as mtivation to be good today!

So do I. And I'm always the first to pick the skin off the Thanksgiving turkey as soon as it comes out of the oven, lol.

The chicken teriyaki sub from Subway is my absolute fave. I get it either on wheat or honey oat (although the honey oat is more calories than the wheat) with lettuce, tomato, onion and cucumber. No cheese. And, of course, a sprinkling of the sweet onion sauce. I've told them personally that they should bottle and sell that stuff.

Me too, me too! I always get honey oat unless they are out--then I just get wheat. I have the whole sub saved as a custom food in my Fitday with the calories including the extra cals for the honey oat bread, so when I get wheat, it's just a little bit of a calorie bonus for me

So do I, lol!

I also have a few other favorites in fitday - the McDonald's AND Wendy's grilled chicken sandwiches (no cheese, no mayo), Taco Bell regular tacos (no cheese), McDonald's grilled chicken ceasar salad, and a few other things. Even a plain McDonald's hamburger. Those I have rarely (in fact I don't eat much fast food at all now) but every now and then I just want one of those hamburgers
