hello chickies,
i appologize, i'm going to be a little sporadic from here on out.
i also know that today is sunday, and i missed NSV friday. AND I HAD A HUGE ONE.
So, when I was in school, I was a part of the greek community here- but I have always been bigger. A close friend of mine is a little bit older, and is still active within his respective organization and asked me to go with him. a) i got to wear the beautiful gown that i had taken in for another formal event in late january that never happened, and b) had no plans, so ofcourse i said yes.
this was a semi-formal event, dinner/drinks/dancing, the usual. so, we go- and i got a lot of "holy **** you look amazing comments" which was great, but these events are always "mc'ed" so like, social awards and stuff. at one point, the guy on the mic (somebody i've known for the past 5 years, but we are in no way close) - goes "guys, i'm sorry, i have to say this right now, but sofie, you look freaking' amazing. good job, you're phenomenal, just WOW, good job" and then he came over and stuff. but anyways, i'm not a huge fan of people pointing out the obvious, but IT FELT AMAZING. the picture is deffinately getting saved for one of goal shot collections!!
aside from that- still hovering in the low 170's, but lost an inch off my "pooch". BAM.
I wasn't around for the start of the St. Patrick's Day challenge, but I'd love to join in on a new one.
Oops, I forgot to set my goals. I want something realistic so I get motivated by hitting it rather than beating myself up when I miss. I want to be under 150lbs by easter and 146lbs by May 1. That's 1lb per week average, which should be attainable. My planned reward: order a fitbit. They look so cool and helpful in motivating me to move around all day.
Well, as of this morning, I'm 146lbs, which means I've 1) lost the first 10lbs! and 2) already met my May 1 goal. So, I'm going to make 145 my Easter goal and 140 my May 1 goal, but as long as I keep losing an average of 1lb per week, I'll be happy.
Hi everyone. Things have been a little crazy here but they are moving along. The last 2 weeks have been so strange. I hurt my foot and couldn't work out for like 10 days or so and was eating like crazy, which I figured was anxiety over being laid-up with the foot but in hindsight, it was impending TOM. So now, I am past all that and the water weight is shedding off. I am still about 8/10ths of a pound over my ticker weight so no loss but not really much of a gain either. Now that I am fairly back on track, hopefully this week will get me somewhere near my Easter goal. If not, I am ok with it. I am still weighing less than I have in a very long time, despite the obstacles.
I've been reading all of your updates although things have been in limbo for me and I am so happy there is so much progress going on.
Stimkovs- I am glad you had a great time on Friday and that you are reaping the rewards and compliments on all of your hard work. It's nice when people notice!
toobig- 176 is awesome! I've noticed you've been solidly ticking them down. Great job!
sparklebe- Congrats on the new job and staying on plan in the midst of change, that's hard!
tdiprincess- Congrats on the new low weight! Looks like that knee isn't slowing you down after all.
OnlyMe- Great job on already meeting your Easter goal and setting new ones for the rest of the challenge! Wow!
Rose426-good for you! Keep on rockin!
shanhat81- how was your weigh-in?
Hoping to see some more updates from all the challengers. You guys have kept my spirits up during these last 2 weeks and whether or not I make it to Easter goal, I appreciate the support so Thank You! These challenges are keeping me motivated to stay on track.
Here we are, 1 week from Easter and 4 weeks til May 1st. Plenty of time to make great strides!
Stimkov's- That is really awesome! I would definitely feel embarrassed! LOL. But that is really cool!
4star- I'm glad your foot is getting better! I hate not being able to workout. I find with my knee that some activities I can't do and other ones I can, which is good! No running, but I can do the elliptical and bike rides. I have been taking an extra day or 2 off here and there though due to the knee.
Awesome work everyone! It seems like everyone is at least maintaining or losing!!
My knee is getting better. No running is hard, but I'm glad I'm not pushing it, too much.
My NSV from Friday is fitting into jeans that haven't fit since I got married 5 years ago! They're still a little too tight to wear out, but another lb or 2 will be perfect! They were my favorite jeans for a long time, so I can't wait to be boppin' around town in 'em!
tdiprincess- That's so exciting about your jeans! I love getting back into old clothes!
Well somehow, I've managed to get down to 192.4 but I am not sure how when I've been so out of sync with my normal routine...so strange but I'm not gonna question it too much, just gonna go with it...
hey chickies! thank you very much for all of your positive words of encouragement. it did feel really great, because (in my experience)- men are straightforward. they only say things when they mean, the jaw dropper reaction- totally earnest ahah..
ALSO..i spent 4.5 hours in the hot room yesterday (did a triple). saw 168.8 this morning. aka my 100.2!! Loss. I need to keep it very clean today, as I am leaving for Toronto tomorrow morning for a week and a half to visit my family, and well..that never ends well. I am seriously considering bringing my food scale, and weight scale haha

on reaching your 100lbs loss goal! That's wonderful!
I would probably leave the weight scale at home but probably take the food scale.
Congratulations Sofie! Its great to be recognised for your hard work!
Just checking in - I am on track. I'm trying to incorporate some exercise now so have dragged my stationery bike into the lounge and am sitting on that at night and burning some extra calories. This morning since I don't have to go to work I even walked and jogged around the block...I was looking at the couch to 5K site and thought I might try to start adding in some little 30 second jogs into my walk. It definitely raises the heart rate so will hopefully help me get a few more pounds off by May Day!
There are temptations over the weekend and already have been invited to parents today for a meal and tomorrow out with a friend. I'm determined not to let anything derail me. I NEED to be able to wear my old clothes...I can't afford to buy new ones and I don't want to buy in bigger sizes anyway.
