Happy Thursday, ladies!
Phat: uh-oh...hope you're not getting the stomach flu. I had it a couple weeks ago. NOT fun :( Dogs: there's NO way you coudl have gained 1.5 lbs of FAT from one salad. I'm sure it's just sodium/water retention. I'm sure it will be off soon! Pochamma: congrats on the loss and making your goal!! Fit: here's hoping you did better on your test than you think! Manders: I agree with Pochamma on your baked goods...they sound really low cal?? Fruit: good job getting back on track with your cals! Jiggle: sounds like you're having a good week :) Dorian: you're almost there!! As for me: had another good day yesterday. 1540 cals and a 40 minute brisk walk with the dog (with hills). I think it will be too cold to walk outside today, so I will probably do my wii zumba and maybe some yoga tonight. I've done pretty well this week, so am hoping for good things on the scale tomorrow! |
THANK YOU EVERYBODY!!!
I feel better and I have already decided that if I did bad on the test, we still have homework assignments and one more test after that, and I am just going to have to bust my @$$ on those for the next few weeks...I WILL pass this class, or die trying...lol. I weighed in at 238.8 this morning, so 1.8 lbs away from my new Easter Goal, I am going to try my best to make it to 237 by April 24th Manders01 Thank you!!! I always read your posts about baking, do you own a baking company or a restauraunt? How can you stay trim with all those sweets around? You deserve a :cp: because I couldn't even do it! pochamma10 :bravo: Congratulations on making your Easter Goal...we have a week and half left too, so there's more weight to be lost! Northern Exposure: Thank you...I am hoping I get good news the Monday after next and I hope you have a :goodscale tomorrow too!!! |
This will be a great boost of motavation
My goals:
weigh 190 or less keep up with my exercise atleast 3 days a week and start to include toning exercises as well stay within my calorie restrictions Challenge SW:197 Challenge GW: 190 |

At Subway, at least at MY Subway they use Frank's, and I had NO clue it had so much sodium. I feel a lot better knowing that, because I was like "wtf?". At least I know what it is, and while I loooooooooove Frank's I will make a point of being cautious (in regards to weigh ins) about when I use it. I would suspect, by eyeballing (and I'm fairly good at eyeballing when it comes to teaspoons and tablespoons) that there was probably 4 tablespoons of Franks on my salad...so yeah, that's a fair bit of sodium! I went looking for calorie info for Frank's, but it didn't occur to me to check sodium (while it usually does). Thanks SO much! |
Manders01 Everything that you made/ate sound absolutely delicious! I craving sweets hard right now, I'm lucky I don't carry any cash because I would have already stuffed a dollar into our work vending machine for a Snickers bar!
Erica Welcome!! P H A T I hope you're feeling better! pochamma10 NICE WORK! Everything from here until Easter is just icing on the cake! :hb: Fit4Lyfe If you can do so well at losing weight (which is HARD!), you can DEFINITELY handle this math class! I have every faith in you! OhMyDogs I LOVE Frank's Hot Sauce so, so much. So much! I had NO idea that there was so much sodium -- or even calories!! I was thinking it was like Texas Pete and there really weren't any. Glad I know!! And that the mystery gain was explained! :) NorthernExposure I've been wanting to check out the Wii Zumba! It sounds like you're doing GREAT! Can't wait to see what your weigh in is tomorrow! --- I got another whooosh and here I am at.... 130.6lbs!! Wahoo! 130.0 is my true Easter goal, so I'm pretty confident about it! I tend to not eat so well on the weekends since I spend them with the boy, who eats whatever he wants, but I don't usually gain -- just maintain. My lunch today was so awesome, I packed a 3-sectioned plate with so many yummy things from home! 1/4 cup of mock/vegan chicken salad from whole foods (I added some sliced red grapes) (200cal), some grape tomatoes (20cal), some baby carrots (35 cal), a little bit of salad with ginger dressing (30 cal), and a stick of pepperjack cheese (80cal)! I'm stuffed for 365 calories and had a bunch of different yummy foods. :) |
Well, I caved. Someone brought donuts into the office and I wasn't going to have any...(and I did SO good avoiding the homemade cinammon rolls the cafeteria ladies make for our weekly staff meetings yesterday)...but I did. We're in the middle of all the state testing this week...that, and trying to put together our master schedule just has me totally stressed out!
I looked up the calories and it's about 220. So if I don't have my skinny cow tonight, I should still come out under 1600 for the day (thankfully we're having a low cal fish dinner tonight!). I know one donut isn't a huge deal, but tomorrow is WI day for crying out loud!! Ok, thanks for letting me do my mini-rant here. I feel better now!! |
Ok, I think I'm over my pity party. My clothes feel looser so even if the scale shows nothing again tomorrow I will be able to live with it.
Phat- I hope you feel better soon. Fit- I know how you feel about math. I always dreaded those classes in college, but the funny thing is that I love teaching it now. Congrats Dorian and everyone else that is seeing those results. |

The oatmeal chocolate chip cookies are about 2-3 bites per cookie and there are two cookies per order. The snickerdoodles are about 3-4 bits per cookies and there are two cookies per order. The cupcakes are regular sized and the scotch bars are 16 from an 8x8 pan (so a little smaller than what I think of as a typical brownie, 9 from an 8x8 pan). Not huge amounts but definitely something to appease the sweet tooth. Good luck on your weigh in tomorrow! I'm sure that donut, especially since you are working it into your day, will have little consequence than some guilt and a satisfied sugar craving. ;) Quote:
I own a restaurant of sorts in that I serve food but there's no location, it's all delivery. But I deliver from 1 to 50 people so as long as someone is my delivery area, they don't have to get a group together to order. I refer to myself as a caterer most of the time cause it seems to be the most accurate. I have one very simple way of staying away from the sweets (and everything else on my menu), none of it is at my house! :D I work out of a commissary kitchen about 20 minutes away so unless I am there, it's totally out of site, out of mind! Which is a good thing, cause I'm not nearly as good when I'm there (cooking at least, when I'm filling orders it's in and out). LOL Quote:

Congrats on the woosh! :cb: Lunch sounds delish! |
I completely blew it yesterday, and not really by choice. So I had to go on a 7 hour test ride for work, and didn't have any options where we ate for breakfast and lunch, my choices were mc donalds and arby's, then it was Dart night, which was our last game and I had to eat bar food...FML! I had some beer, ate my foods tried to make the best choices I could make, so yesterday I weighted 141.8 which i was going back down and losing the water weight and this morning back up to 144.0!....I flipped off my scale and just got ready for my day. no way I gained 2.2 lbs in one day, I know it was from the overload of sodium and fat, but couldn't really do much about it. Today I had another test, and tomorrow also. So i'm trying to do the best I can when we have to stop to eat. I have softball practice tonight so maybe i'll be able to work some of it off, but i've had very little sleep these past couple of days so my body is craving anything to stay awake.
sorry to rant and leave but i have to get back to work. I'll be on later to replay to you ladies. |

A small triumph...
I had something happen today that I think I'm pretty proud of myself for.
The back story is very long and I will not bore you with it. But the jist is that in May of '09 I met a man through work that within moments, okay, more like a few weeks ;), I feel head over heels in love with and have been so ever since. It was my love for him that caused me to reevaluate myself and determine that I was not the best person I could be for him. Yes, he is the reason I started losing weight (and quit smoking too). Between then and now we have been intimate several times but a relationship has never developed because of his relationship with another girl (just dating). I truly believe that we will end up together one day. That is more than likely just me being completely stupid. But still, I believe. This morning I received a text from him and again, for sake of brevity, he said he may be moving back to VA in July. I cannot begin to express how hard this hit me in the gut. It's very rare when I have one of those "doesn't quite hit me moments" but this was one of them. We texted for a while and when we got done, reality sunk in. I had to make a delivery then I was on my way to Target to pick up frosting ingredients. The minute I got into the car, I thought about what I would by to eat. I wanted to eat and eat and eat in hopes that it would somehow make better the emotional blow I just received. I even looked at the refrigerated cookies while I was there. But I didn't buy a thing. Not the cookies, not ice cream, not a candy bar. Okay, one thing. :D I was a bit hungry and got a Skinny Cafe Misto for 90 calories to tide me over till lunch. Even going into Sam's, where I could have got oodles of food to cram my face, I didn't. Nor when I cut up the batch of scotch bars I defrosted this morning. The entire time I was thinking about the food, I knew that I wasn't hungry, I'd be emotionally eating, it wouldn't be worth and most of all, IT WOULD NOT MAKE ME FEEL BETTER. Instead of getting completely mired down in depression about something that isn't even a guarantee right now, I'm trying to look at the positive. So yay me for not binging at a weak, weak moment! :) |
I have already eaten 1,800 calories today...
manders01 I am so sorry, love is rough, plain and simple; I am going to tell you something my mommy (yep, I still call her mommy) tells me when something bad/sad happens to me, "Everything, I mean everything happens for a reason, you may not understand it now and you may be hurting, but one day, the reason will come up and you'll look back and be glad", IDK the whole situation but
jdonato It's okay, we all have those days (I'm having that kind of week) and you can get right back up and make this happen...I believe in you!!! Okay, so somebody please tell me why it's only 4:30ish and I've already eaten 1,800 calories and counting!!! WTF?!?!? Why can't I get it together this week? I've been screwing up since the baby shower last weekend and I am just sucking, I mean, really sucking. I'm not discouraged, I'm just mad at myself because I know I can do better than this. But I have just the kick in the butt I need for next week: I desperately need my eyebrows waxed and I will NOT do it unless I am OP Sunday through Saturday next week. The prospect of having hairy brows should give me a well-needed :kickbutt: |
So bought the Wii Zumba... its kinda hard and I'm sure I look rediculous but I think as long as I'm moving around for that 20 mins or so it still is good. Northern is the wii zumba what helped you lose all your weight so far.... and how often do you use it?
Manders- Love sux...lol. Hang in there if its meant to be it will be. Weigh in today showed yet more loss I was 175.0 :) 40 pounds total.. BUT I had general tao's chicken and fried rice tonight for dinner.... I was craving it. Oh well I deserved a cheat day. Then did two sets of 20 mins on Wii Zumba. Maybe I will do an ab workout before bed, but tomorrow.....I will run. Ok now back to catching up with american idol... |
Good morning, butterflies & happy Friday !! Woooo!!!
I'm so glad it's the weekend! I don't have to work overtime tomorrow so I'll have 2 full days of relaxation & me time & sleep time !! I can't wait! I might go to the movies with my love or we might just stay in & snuggle :) Not sure yet .. Anyway I hope everyone has had a wonderful week & stuck to their plan as much as possible.. I had some slip ups this week, but I'm doing alright I guess... [the week before my period I get snacky .. I want sweets! lol] Oh & I do feel better from the other day; thank you ladies for your concern :) NorthernExposure ;; you didn't cave too bad & at least you didn't go over your calorie allotment .. one donut cant hurt every once in a while, right? :) k15g15 ;; your clothes being more loose is a good sign! you might not reflect on the scale, but then again, you might have lost an inch or two :) jdonato ;; lol @ flipping off the scale.. how perfect.. Im gonna try that !! Im sure all extra weight is water & will be burned off in a day or so :) manders01 ;; Like you said, it might still be meant to be whether he moves or not .. not to jinx him or anything, but Love has it's way of happening in the weirdest way.. there's no pattern or time limit, it just happens.. so who knows what will happen in the future, even with him moving .. But on the other hand, i'm proud of you for not caving & giving in to the temptation of those sinfully delicious refrigerated cookes! I know if you would have binged, it would have helped you for a moment, but you would have ended up feeling even worse & guilty too.. Good for you. Fit4Lyfe ;; come on , girl! get it together.. you dont wanna have a unibrow right? LoL I know I dont :) at least you aren't in denial of messing up [like I was] try planning your meals & snacks, write it out & keep it close so you will always be reminded to stay on track :) TiredOfGettingBigger ;; If anything will get calories burned, its Zumba. I burned 800 calories doing it for 25 minutes.. Ugh.. lol Well ladies, have a wonderful rest-of-the-day & stay positive ! :) :belly: :belly: :belly: [/color] |
Really where did you find the calorie count for that?
|
Well, I'm down just over a pound to 180.8. I was hoping for a wee bit more as (with the exception of the donut yesterday), I had a very good week. I am, however, a bit sore from my workouts this week (haven't walked hills in a LONG time), so I'm hoping a little water retention is in play. Keeping my fingers crossed that I will see 170-something by next Friday! (Friday will be my last WI for this challenge as we're gonig to be out of town for Easter weekend.)
Phat: glad you dodged the stomach flu and are feeling better ;) Tired: oh, I look completely ridiculous donig zumba, lol. It does get a little easier as you learn the routines a little more. I just added wii zumba to my exercise arsenal a couple of months ago. Really nice way to change things up a bit from what I usually do (WATP, elliptical, weights, yoga.) Now that it's nicer out, I'm also taking some walks outside. As long as I'm moving and not getting bored with what I'm doing, it's all good! Fit: here's hoping you don't have to deal with unruly brows!! Manders: thanks. Sometimes we just need to put things in perspective (my donut, lol.) JD: being on the road with limited choices can really suck sometimes. Don't beat yourself up too badly! Sometimes things are just out of our control. K15: I concur with what phat says. Sometimes it's inches and not pounds. Well, have a great weekend, everyone! |
jdonato - I'm sorry you've been having such a rough time! You flip off that scale and do what you need to do! Sometimes other obligations just make weight loss take a back seat, and that's OK! It's LIFE! Hang in there!!
Fit4Lyfe - I've seen you kick all these goals' butts now, I'm certain that you can get back on track soon! We all have those kind of weeks, I hope yours ends soon. And I need my brows tamed too, they are WHACK right now, but not because of any goal -- just because I'm lazy. :o Manders01 - I'm sorry that you're having to cope with this ordeal. But I'm SO proud of you for recognizing beforehand that eating wasn't going to make you feel better or fix ANYTHING! P H A T - SO glad you're feeling better, and YAY for having some restful time off! At 6pm today I should be able to start my restful weekend too! :high: TiredOfGettingBigger I haven't tried Wii Zumba yet, but I know I will look like I'm have a conniption fit or a seizure or something when I first try. And HOT DAMN on a 40lbs loss so far! GREAT job! NorthernExposure I KNOW you'll get to see 170-something by next Friday!! No problem, you've got this. I bet you're already there, whenever my muscles are sore I am up a few POUNDS the next day! --- I haven't the slightest idea what I weigh this morning, lol. Slept at the boyfriend's place, and like I said, he has no scale. I went to see if his gay room mate had a scale in his bathroom, but he didn't either. When you look like a Calvin Klein underwear model like his room mate does, you don't have to have a scale, I suppose. We had some delicious sushi last night, probably high calorie... but we split 2 medium sized rolls between us and only had 1 beer. I am confident that I was under my calories -- maybe not my sodium, but definitely my calories. I've noticed that my boyfriend has started eating better food, smaller portions, not drinking as much alcohol... he hasn't come out and said he's trying to lose weight, but I think he is. I think he's sexy REGARDLESS but would love to have a buddy in this for the last 15lbs! Feeling good about my goal!! I might even be able to see 129lbs next week! :carrot: Happy Friday, everyone! |
YEAH! 2 pounds!WHOOOO HOOOOO!
That is the happy note for the day. It is blowing 40-50 mph here and my fence section fell and my two bassets were on the loose so we spent a hour looking for them. When I found them I had to lift their 80 lb butts into my SUV and so I was cussing out loud at this point and here comes a police office to help me which was great but I'm super embaressed over being caught cussing like a sailor!:) |
Wow, so many posts to catch up on! :) Looks like some ups, some downs, and some gorgeous tulips!! I'm in a rush, but wanted to get in a post. The past few days I've been in my calorie range, in my carb range, good on my workouts, normal on sodium... and my weight has gone from 149.6 to 155.4, back down, and everywhere in between. I think my scale must have some sort of sick "random" setting and it just likes to mess with me, URRGG! :rollpin:
I know weight ranges, but this range covers my whole total loss for a lot of hard work the past few months. Really? I mean, reeeally?? Phew. Just need to vent today. |
I got on the scale this morning even though I wasn't supposed to. It was good news, but I don't wanna say how good because I'm worried some of my loss could be because I didn't drink enough water yesterday or the day before (but I did drink some) LOL.
|
Hi ladies, I know I am not going to make it to my Easter goal so I would like to drop out now. :(
|
PHAT Girl, I know I need to get it together...I don't want to have wolf-brows!!! :lol3:
NorthernExposure WTG on that loss and thanks, I don't want to have unruly brows... Dorian5 LOL at your boyfriend's gay roomate not having a scale...all 57,000 of my gay friends (I live in San Francisco) have scales, some have several and they are all daily weighers and they all live in the gym. And my brows are also crazy due to sheer laziness, but I was going to get them done tomorrow, but now I'm treating it like a goal for next week... k15g15 That story about your hounds made me :lol3::lol3::lol3: I've had to pick up my Rottweilers before and they are sooooo heavy, and they act like they are Maltese!!! So I can imagine it, I really can. MissJessica I'm sorry, fluctuations suck and I know how hard you've been working...I don't have any advice but I do have this:  and I know it will get better!!! Ohmydogs way to tease us...hope to see some good numbers soon! Well this morning I weighed in at 238.8, so no gain :D but no lose either :( but after the way I ate yesterday, I'm taking it! Today I am back on the ball, and this next week will be awesome!!! Or else I'll have bushy brows...and that ain't sexy. |

Thanks but between school, my children, and running a household, I haven't had any time to exercise. I eat pretty decently but that is about it.

--- MASSIVELY HUGE :thanks: to Fit4Lyfe, TiredOfGettingBigger, P H A T and Dorian!!! You are very sweet and supportive ladies! I am feeling much better today after spending another hour or so texting with him yesterday afternoon. And our chat resulted in the possibility of getting to see him soon so that's always good news! Of course, I've had more time to reflect on my achievement and have to say, I'm feeling so, so great about not binging. I think that could be a HUGE step for me! :cheer2: Didn't get a chance to really hop on till now cause I had an 11-person job for lunch today! :cb: I'm hoping it will lead to more orders, even if it's just one or two more people from that office on a weekly basis. I have 1237 calories planned for today (don't you love it when you eat a ton - baked fish with a massive amount of roasted veggies for dinner - but don't see the quantity reflected in your calorie intake :spin:) and 304 calories burned in weights and cardio. I think that number might get adjusted to be lower because my hammie's still a bit tender and I have lunges today. I don't know if I'll be able to do them. Hope everyone has a great start to their weekend!!! It sounds like several of us will be spending at least some of it relaxing. :beach: Enjoy! |
I am drinking my water....I am a princess when it comes to water, hate plain tap water, was out of crystal light, and was out of bottled water. I have some bottled water now, and have 2 liters down so far today (usually I drink 3).
I am very glad you were able to text with him, and are feeling a little better. Congrats on not having binged! That's AWESOME!!! And take care of that hammie!! My weekend will consist of cleaning (my mother in law is coming out to visit next week, I adore her!), and going to visit what MAY become our new Newfoundland dog. We had planned on getting a puppy, but I saw this girl listed, she's 16 months old and housebroken, and had basic obedience already. We went and met with her and she's an absolute darling. Her owner lives only about 30 minutes from us, so we're going to go and visit with her again on the weekend, and figure out when we should take her for a trial run. My husband and I both think she'll be an awesome addition to the family, but just want to be sure. So cleaning and dog-visits are my weekend plans! lol |

manders01 no problem...I've been on my love rollercoaster in the past and I know how big a deal it was for you NOT to binge. Hang in there, life has a strange way of working itself out...and laser hair removal sounds great, I need to look into it Ohmydogs I love water! And you are so lucky getting to adopt a dog! I want one here with me, my dogs live with my parents. I've been doing pretty well today; had my broccoli/apple juice today and I love drinking it! It's good for me and it tastes good! I had a healthy lunch and breakfast and I just need to make it through the rest of the night, hope you all have a good weekend!!! |
I didn't do so good with calories yesterday( 2200),was working outside for 5 hrs & all i wanted was junk food. Today i only had 1225 & took a walk for 30min. I'm meeting old friends I haven't seen in 15yrs tomorrow. I was trying to make it to 109lbs. so I could look my best. Guess that ain't happening!

*Waves to all*
Hi everyone, long time no see! Don't know who here remembers me, been a while since I posted! Anyways, popping in to say good luck to everyone! Last challenge I participated in was Labor Day- and yes I did get to my goal weight by then! Everything got so busy I just kind of dropped off...hope everything is going well!! |
Hi Corinne! I do remember you. Thanks for stopping by :)
So I snuck a peek at the scale today because I wasn't sore this morning and wanted to see if I really was retaining water. Lo and behold, I saw 179.9 this morning! I am cautiously optimistic. I will call it 180 for now and hope I get a little deeper into the 170's on my official WI day Friday before I call it goal. Enjoy your Saturday, ladies! |
I have lost my 4 inches but not like it wanted to lose them. :dunno: I lost 1.5 in my waist, 1.25 in my stomach, .75 in my hips, .5 in my left arm and .25 in my right arm. I just finished my kettle bell workout and plan on a cardio workout this evening. Just depends on how my day of errands goes and I have to go see about my cousin that lost his wife earlier this month. If I don't get my carido in it's okay because I got something in this morning as I ususally will do some jumping or cardio movement between sets of Kettle bells. So for this last week I have to see if I can get that .25 off my right arm and .25 off my hips. So it calls for some running that I'm not too fond of but will do for the sake of results. :running::kickbutt:
Northern - Oh go ahead and call it goal!! :goodscale I would be so excited to see that number because it's close enough. Sometimes peaking is motivating. Corinne - :wave:I remember you. Hope to see you next challenge. :D Ekicna - Eating is the best part. Working out is the supplement. It's easier to eat 100 calories less than work it off so keep up the good work. I work full time, have a toddler and a husband that sometimes sounds the same as the toddler. I get to do my workouts at work on lunch or if I wake up very early before they are moving around. Not always easy. Ohmydogs - That's a lot of water. I thought I was doing something drinking 2-3 liters and it seemed like a lot to me. You are getting it in!!! Lori - You are rocking it. It's encouraging to see you getting to where you are and gives me hope. Fruitlady - Nevermind that you didn't make it to 109 you are still looking good girl!!! :carrot: Lets have a great week and celebrate our great results next Sunday!!:carrot::carrot: |
Thanks, Jiggle! I am going to keep working hard this week and hope to get to 179 even for my last WI of the challenge. My next goal is 174 (100 lbs lost!), so I want to get as close to that as possible before Easter weekend, when I do NOT anticipate being completely OP. Gives me a little wiggle room to hopefully make my 100 lbs lost goal by the end of next month, even if I gain a little over Easter. I want to start summer with a bang :)
Aren't those arms just SO stubborn?! I SO want to be able to wear a tank top in public this summer, but those bat wings will NOT go away. The tops of my arms/shoulders are actually starting to look good due to my lifting. If I could only just kind of "pin" that flabby part back, I'd be rockin' the tank tops, lol. I really wish we could make "deals" with our bodies. Mine would be this: "Ok, body, if we can lose the bat wings and the spare tire now, I'll let you keep the inner thighs and lower tummy 'pouch.' I'll trade you longer shorts in exchange for cute summer tops. We'll re-negotiate in the fall. Deal?" LOL. I'm starting to sound like a crazy woman! |
OhmyDogs Not insane at all, I promised myself when I settle down and get married, I will have an animal house...I love animals and want my kids to be raised around dogs, like I was
Eckina  you can do this...as my granny, "not always on your time, but right on time." jigglefree I would love to lose some inches off my gut...so yay you!!! How often do you measure? I need to get some kettlebells, they sound like they are working wonders for you! NorthernExposure You don't sound crazy, I would love my freakin body if we could come to an understanding...lose the pouch, gain a rounder butt...and I'll just deal with flabby arms for a while...I can live with that :dizzy: See? I'm crazy too! Magenta makes me happy....anyways, I'm still weighing in at 238.8, but I am still a little sore from traversing around half of the Mission (in San Francisco) yesterday in very inappropriate shoes, so yea...I ate waaaaaay better yesterday, but still not entirely OP and with the week I've been having, I'll take my 2-lb loss for the week because I've been very bad this week. Got lots to do today, but this week is the final stretch ladies, we can do it, let's kick in into over-drive!!! |
Jigglefree - yes it is a lot. It's been a big adjustment for me, as I was not a water drinker AT ALL (like none, EVER) before making this change. Now I average 3-4 litres a day. I drink 2 cups of coffee in the morning (some mornings just 1) and 1 can of Coke Zero at night, otherwise it's all water.
Fit4Lyfe - I was the opposite, the apartment we lived in when I was a kid didn't allow for pets (aside from caged pets), so I had a guinea pig and bird growing up, but no big pets. I have always been an animal rescuer at heart. We adopted 2 of our cats from the Humane Society, and I physically rescued the 3rd from the streets of our town. We get extremely cold winters (-40 some days), and this lovely little girl was outside, super thin, so I brought her home, and she's been a lovely addition. Only one of the cats likes the dogs (and when I say "likes" I mean "cuddles with, eats with, plays with, and thinks he IS a dog"), the other 2 stay far away from them LOL. I need a bigger house! I'd like one day, if we ever end up with an acreage, to have a Newfoundland Rescue! |

And thank you! I got to text him last night for a while as well. It has been so great since we hadn't talked in some time. With neither of us being at the jobs we used to be, we went from talking almost daily to incredibly sporadically. So any chance I get has been something I treasure. I think the hammie is about back to 100%. Still a bit tender when I go up stairs but otherwise pretty good. It felt a little too tender yesterday as well when trying to do lunges so I only did one leg. But that helped me figure out a better way to do them. I can go lower if I do one leg at a time, keep the dumbbell in one hand and brace the other hand on the window sill so I can go down lower and keep my balance. Rock hard thighs, look out! :lol3: Quote:

And if you could start working on that pill that we can give to our bodies to get them to start striking those deals, that would be great! :D Quote:
--- So I did my go out night last night. I feel like I did great. Before I even left the house, I was somewhat hungry and wanted something sweet. So I had a Skinny Cow bar. I changed what I usually drink out to be as low-cal as possible (vanilla vodka and diet). It wasn't great since I've moved away from pop and have never been much of a cola person, but they were still good. I really wanted diet lemon-lime pop and raspberry vodka but no diet lemon-lime. :( I wonder if the bars would let me bring in unopened cans of it? :p I also got a slice of pizza on my walk home. One slice, just cheese, though I did douse it with a good amount of Parm. But the key to the evening is that I allowed myself a little bit of freedom with no guilt. I try to look at getting the pizza as allowing myself one slice, every once in a while, is much better than ordering or making a frozen on and having the whole thing sitting there begging to get eaten! Should I probably have skipped it all together? Yes. But did it taste absolutely divine? You betcha! :D And best of all, as much as I wanted to come home and stuff my face, I didn't!!! :cb: That was a great accomplishment for me. Pounds seem to be melting away right now. I'm sure it's a post-TOM woosh but damn does it look good on that scale! Haven't planned my lunch and dinner yet (so having a problem making a decision about those today :)) so don't know where I'm at with calorie intake. Going to walk to the gym, possibly do a bit of weights (it's not my weight day but I'm thinking about putting a little time in), bike and am going to give the elliptical a go today. If I can't do the elliptical yet, I'll hop back on the bike. Big sports day for me...Sox need to get a W, Rockies looking to continue their winning ways with number 8 in a row and Da Bulls start their quest to become NBA Champions. Good luck to all my boys!!! :cb: |
