Okay, new day, new beginning!!! :halffull: Food course has been plotted for the next two days. Plenty of good food to keep me away from binging. Aiming for 1490 calories today. Although I have been trying to get right at my 1638 allotment I'm going to try to go a smidge low for the next two days while eating lots of healthy, filling foods. This should keep me full while adding to my calorie deficit a bit.
Since my gym was closed Monday and is closed Friday, I'm doing my weights T - W - Th this week. So weights and cardio and LOTS of cleaning today. :twirly: I know I don't say this enough, if at all, but I wanted to thank all you ladies for your words of encouragement. Some days, my resolve to be good just isn't enough and knowing that I've got you guys behind me helps. So THANKS!!! I think I'll just stay on a challenge from now on to help out with that. :D :congrat: Rainbow!!! We posted at about the same time yesterday and I missed the good news. Have fun clothes shopping! |
I'm in!! I need a challenge to keep myself on track. As of this morning I reached onederland, and my goal by Easter is to be in the 180s!!
SW: 199.7 GW: 189 (or less ;) ) |
Welcome Indiabound and congrats on making it to onederland!
Phat- Your niece is so tiny! I like that look she was giving the camera! I did finish my book and not eat last night anymore. I have book club tomorrow so I am set to discuss it now! Keep it going ladies! I weigh in on Friday....I'm hoping for 2 lbs! |
Hey ladies!!! I am super juiced because I'm down to 244.4:D:D:D:D That's -1.6 from yesterday and -2 lbs. from Monday when I started. IDK why it's happening like that I have been watching my calories and kind of "cycling" them and also switching up my exercise: walking, running up stairs, light strength training, etc. that's all I can do right now since I really can't afford a gym membership (which I'm hoping will change soon) and you guys are all rocking this Easter challenge!!!
jigglefree Thanks for the welcome!!! And I really want to try kettle bells when I can find a cheap pair...let me know how they go! Northern Exposure Sorry you've been under the weather, I has pneumonia earlier this year and it sucked I couldn't eat or sleep (but strangely enough, I didn't lose a pound:o) I hope you get better very soon! Rainbowstripe :carrot:CONGRATULATIONS:carrot: I am so happy for you and have a good first day! k15g15 I know exactly how you feel!!! I am struggling with the feeling of hunger even after I just ate, IDK why I'm feeling this way but I'm just trying to drink plenty of water to combat the feeling. |
I'm feeling really excited!!! My lunch time workout was a strength training/toning workout and it was wonderful. I did kettle bells and jump rope intervals. I decided to do it today and LOVED IT!!!
Fit - I got my kettle bells at Walmart, it was box with a 5lb, 10lb, and 15lb for $25. K15g15 - Good Job!! Killed two birds with one stone... Indiabound - WELCOME. Jump on in we are making good progress in this challenge. Last challenge wasn't so great for me but I got my mojo back!! |
jiggle- I'm so glad you got your mojo back!
manders- Let's hope this is just water weight and it comes off quickly. Sounds like you have a good plan to get back on track. I hate those I don't care days! Once you start it's hard to get back on plan. I'm having alot of those days lately. Ok, the scale scared me into getting back on plan this morning. My weight went up big time, it's time to take action. Told hubby we have to buy smaller portions of his junk food so it's not hanging around the house for days. That means a small jar of P.B & a pint of ice cream for him to eat after work. No large sizes anymore! If it hangs around here too long, I go after it. He's ok with it, if it will help me, he knows I struggle if junk food is here. Did well today with calories, 1352 is perfect for me. Rode the bike for 15min. & walked for 30min. I just have to stick with it now, til I lose about 5lbs. Then i can raise my calorie limit a little. Good luck to us all! |
Thanks, everyone for all of your well-wishes. I am feeling much better today. Back to normal eating today and going to ease back into my exercise routine tonight. TOM is coming and so is my WI day on Friday. I think I will still sneak a peak, but take whatever number I see with a grain of salt. Between being sick and pre-TOM/TOM, I know my body is completely out of whack.
Newbies: Welcome! You've found a great bunch of gals here :) Rainbow: congrats on the job...yay you! Everyone I missed: I did go back and read all of your posts, just short on time for personals for everyone right now. Congrats to those doing well, and "chin up" to those who are struggling and/or frustrated with weight loss and/or just life in general. We've all been there in some form or another and we are here to support each other! |
149.2 today!! I'm not changing it til Monday, but it's SO exciting to possibly be out of the 150's :)
|
1545 calories yesterday and 2 mile WATP video, though not at 100%. Definitely not quite running on all 8 cyliders yet. I'm thinking elliptical and yoga tonight.
Jessica: congrats on making it to the 140's, even if it's not quite "official" yet :) |
Yay!!!! 179.9lbs. I'm soooo happy to be out of the 180s. I hope I stay out of them. I was getting a little discouraged. I went to wallyball last night and this morning had a 2.5lb lost. :)
|
I'm feel like I'm back to where I was when I got on this journey. Focused and ready to see real results. It seems like I've been stuck in the same realm for too long. But progress in here.
Norhtern - Glad you are back on the pony and feeling better. Jessica - Congrats on your loss and you will be looking at more 140s before the weekend arrives...just stay focused. Fruitlady - Thanks. I know what you mean about the junk food. I was getting hemmed up on the 100 calorie snacks...I would eat more than one because they were only 100 calories but didn't realize 2-3 of them was out of control. Let's make it a great day and have some fun :) |
Goooooooood morning (it's morning in my part of the world anyway, 8:07am here) Challengees!!
How is everyone doing today? I am feeling super energetic this morning, and while I did my 3 mile walk yesterday (I typically alternate 3 miles one day, 1.6 the next) I may do 3 miles again today, as long as my knee isn't being too much of a pain. It's got arthritis, and I am usually pretty good at babying it just enough that it doesn't get too bad. I have some Advil in me, and will just play it by ear. I am also excited because it's grocery shopping night! LOL how sad is that? Luckily for my, my husband brought home some cantaloupe and strawberries for me, so I have some delicious snacks for today! Also I snuck a peek at the scale this morning, and had a loss, so that makes me happy too! I always seem to have a loss after my 3 mile walks. Weird! How is everyone else doing? |
Cleaned my bathroom like crazy yesterday afternoon. I scrubbed the walls even! Tackling the kitchen today. I do believe it might kill me. :faint: Also have to run the last of my errands this evening - picking up paper goods (Rockies themed of course :D), decorations and some bathroom accessories (my tumbler and waste can are gross :barf:). And I made sure I got the painting of my toenails purple out of the way last night so they're all ready! :p
Another "light" day of calories planned - 1492. Weights and cardio today though the cardio will probably be light. I was beat after all the cleaning so I only made through my normal bike routine. There was no way I was going to get through time on the elliptical. And I'm guessing the kitchen is going to be harder than the bathroom so I don't have much confidence that I will do the cardio routine. But I'm okay with that since this cleaning is definitely above and beyond a typical days work for me. fruitlady - Thanks, I hope it does too! I was up more than when I weighed myself on Tuesday. I should probably not weigh myself until Monday to get this binge and the damage to be done tomorrow out of my system but I cannot resist the scale! |
Aww man...I gained back the weight I lost, I weighed in at 246.2 today, but I think I'm about to get TTOM, so I'm predicting major number the next few days. Overall, It's a still a weekly loss from Monday's weight and official weigh-in isn't until next Monday, so who knows what will happen
OhMyDogs Knees are no joke! Bum knees run in my family on the paternal side and it's one of the main reasons I am trying to get this weight off, less weight=less knee pain jigglefree Awesome to see you've got your rev back Tiredofgettingbigger What a great loss!!! And "wallyball"? What's that? MissJessica WTG! On to another good day ladies!!! |
I broke down & weighed yesterday. Nothing changed, I'm still the same from Sunday.. Kinda bummed me out a little, lol.. But I still have a couple days this week before I weigh again. I've been so busy at work, I havent had time to do anything. My time should be freed up though within the next week or 2, so I've decided that I'm gonna go hard with the exercising. I have to set new goals for myself starting next month, & really do whatever I can to meet them.
On a side note, my niece is doing wonderful. Her labs came back perfect & her hearing test did too. The hole in her heart has closed up as well. She's such a perfect little thing! |
Fit4Lyfe I agree about bum knees being sucky! Mine has actually bothered me FAR less than I anticipated with all this walking, which of course makes me very happy. Like you I am trying to get this weight off so my knee is less stressed and to hopefully keep the arthritis from progressing. I am too young to be disabled by a bum knee! I avoid things that will really set my knee off right now, like squats and lunges and running, and will see about tackling them when I am quite a bit lighter.
Also, I hope that when TOM is over, you see a bit drop in weight. TOM sucks! Men should have it instead! lol |
Tired: congrats on getting out of the 180's! I hope to join you in the 170's soon! I'm also curious about "wallyball?"
Jiggle: Sounds like you are very determined and focused lately. Good for you!! Dogs: strawberries sound yummy! I'm so ready for "summer" fruits! Phat: so glad to hear your little neice is doing well! Fit: I'm also about to get TOM. And tomorrow, being April Fool's Day is my regular WI day. Figures! Manders: If you run out of house to clean, you can always come over to mine! ;) As for me: I think I'll end up at around 1500 cals today. Again, not sure what to expect for WI tomorrow. No idea if my weight will be up or down after stomach flu, and now pre-TOM. My energy is still pretty low, but I do have my appetite back now. (Couldn't stop thinking about pizza last night!) |

Had a root canal done at the dentist today, so no over eating for me. Had 1330 calories & rode the bike only 20min. It's raining, cold and dreary here, didn't want to go for a walk. All in all a good day of clean eating!
manders- I can't ever stay away from the scale, I weigh every morning! lol |
Had a good workout today - BodyCombat at the gym, quickly becoming one of my favorite classes! Speaking of fruit, I had the best dinner of blueberry pancakes. The produce shop here had some of the best store-boughten blueberries I've ever had. I went a tiny bit over my cals, but I was under by more yesterday, so it evens out. So excited that tomorrow is Friday, it's been such a busy week!
fruitlady - Ouch! Rain + root canal sounds like a great day for a nap to me :) P H A T - Good for you for making exercise goals, good luck! And great news about your niece :) Sounds like an answer to prayer for sure! Fit4Lyfe - Awe, don't let sneaky TOM get you down, keep up the good work! OhMyDogs - Arthritis is a bummer, hope you knee is feeing good today. When is your real weigh in day? I don't think I could make it a whole week without peeking at mine :) jigglefree - Thanks! Glad to see things are feeling positive for you as well and that we'll both be ultra focused this week! TiredOfGettingBigger - Woo woo! NorthernExposure - Thank you! Glad you're feeling better :) |
Hi everyone- I'm just reporting in to say that I've hit a sort of plateau so I don't think I'm going to make my weight goal for this challenge, as it's been a while since I've seen any loss. I'm trying to figure out what I can do to break through it, so I'm going to be focusing more on exercise goals for the time being. I'm planning on starting c25k when this darn weather warms up. :running:
Also, some of you might remember what I posted on the last challenge about the huge motivation I had gotten, which was traveling abroad for a week and a half this summer. The country I was to visit happened to be Japan... and I'm sure everyone knows what's going on over there right now(:(), so because of that the trip was unfortunately canceled. That means I'm not in so much of a hurry(to get to my final goal) any longer, so I'm thinking about raising my calorie limit or trying calorie cycling or something... I'm not sure yet. Anyway, well wishes to all of you on your goals! :bunny: |

So for those of you that asked about wallyball I attached a pic of the court. Its volleyball with a dodgeball and you play in the indoor court. You can even play off the walls, which can be challenging. Its very inexpensive to play. I pay four dollars and we play for about 2-3hrs once a week. I read on ************ that it burns 1300 cals in 2 hrs. I'm sure thats a bit off but I know its still alot do to my wieght loss the days after.
Also thankyou all. I have relized I may not be as dedidcated with out you all, some of the people that I started with outside of here are not as serious as I am to lose the wieght and its nice to have the support here. Also as people are seeing my body change I get alot of good comments but sometimes people comment out of jealousy I suppose. My sister asked me who I was losing for... I said myself. My mother asked me yesterday if I barrowed my daughters shirt....It was a large. One girl at work asked me if what I was eating allowed in my diet (toastadas). Another girl at work said I hope you are eating....lol... If they only knew. And I just wonder if any of you have expierienced that? Northern, come on girl meet me in the 170's soon. :) Night all. |

Manders: I hear you, I hate housecleaning too...that's why I was hoping you'd come over, lol. Dogs: Our snow is *almost* gone, but spring is very slow to come to these parts this year :(. Fruit: hope you're recovering well from the root canal...no fun!! Jessica: mmm....blueberry pancakes. Haven't had those in forever. Horo: sorry about your trip. I feel so bad for Japan :( Tired: wow, that looks like quite a workout!! Well, happy April, ladies! Watch out for the April Fools jokes!! |

Weighed in and 2 lbs down! Yeah! So I think that's 6 for the challenge and 3 more to go...
It's finally spring like weather here so I hope it's a weekend of planting flowers! I hope everyone else has a great weekend! |
Hi ladies, I will go back and do a read when I have more time but I hope everyone is doing well.
My fiancee broke his thumb on Wednesday night, and about ripped the tip of it off (got kicked by a cow - he is a dairy farmer). Anyhow, I spend all Wednesday night at two hospitals with him. Didn't get home until 5:30 in the morning! So, needless to say, my calorie counting has not been the greatest the last couple days. But I am back on schedule today! I'll check in later, work is crazy right now! |
I am chuckling about some of you ladies having to weigh yourselves every morning BECAUSE, first thing, my 7 year old asked me "aren't you going to get on the scale today?" I said "no, I am going to wait a few days and see what happens". So then I come on 3FC and realize that I am part of an April challenge, and need to get on the scale after all (of course, I've had 1/2 my breakfast by then, and a cup of coffee).
Northern: Spring's also been VERY slow to come here, granted we were WELL above freezing yesterday. Which is good, except for the roads. I live in a tiny town, so we just drive on compact snow all winter...this leads to horrendous driving conditions when things start melting. But if we can just stay warm, that will go away and it will just be mud! K15g15: AWESOME WTG on the 2lbs!! I am jealous about you planting, as I am still under a couple of feet of snow! Megems: YIKES that sounds terrible! I can totally understand going off schedule when medically, things go wrong. I had one heck of a battle in February with my girls and bacteria. Between the 2 girls we had tonsillitis 4 times, Scarlet Fever and Impetigo, I spent a lot of time off plan, while I was doing round the clock Advil dosing! I hope your fiancee's thumb is feeling well soon, sounds very painful! |

So I'm just pretty bummed...
|
NorthernExposure- Congrats on your loss! I know with me, I'll take an ounce, as long as its a Loss... & I know TOM can be trying.. Stick in there :)
k15g15-Way to go on your 2lb loss! every little bit helps! megems- OMG! I'm sorry to hear abotu your boyfriend's thumb! poor thing.. I surely do hope he has a speedy recovery.. farm boys are usually tough & strong though, so Im sure he'll bounce back  .. keep us posted on how he's doing! OhMyDogs- You're not alone. I didn't realize that with these challenges, Im sposed to weigh daily...:dunno: .. I usually want to stick to weighing on Sundays.. we'll see! Fit4Lyfe- Isn't it crazy how TOM makes everything seem so much worse!! Feel better.. As for yours truly ;; I'm a little bummed myself because I got on the scale this morning & seen a 2 pound gain.. I dont think its accurate though {at least Im hoping} because I had all my clothes on & I had drank a bunch of water.. Im not sure.. Hopefully by Sunday, I will see a loss..:( ..In other news, my little niece is doing great. all her labs & tests are coming back perfect!! thanks ladies for all your prayers.. Its a brand new month, lets start on a positive note.. :) :grouphug: |
Quick check in ...Been one busy Momma~My daughter has a boyfirend I actually like & the hubby does to (so far ~LOL) & there running me constantly & the boys going to friends ~taking over the computer ect. Has kept me on my toes~SOOOOOO SORRY I HAVE BEEN M.I.A.
~Anyways HUGS TO ALL~Hope to catch up soon~Gotta go to town errands to run & gonna pretend to be picking my daughter up early for an april fools joke~LMBO~She will be so pissed off!~I need a good laugh though STAY STRONG EVERYONE!!!!(let me know all the good pranks u do today or have done to u ~LMBO!) |
Phat: I don't know about other challenges, but on this one you certainly don't have to weigh daily. I weigh on Fridays. Sometimes I may sneak a peek in the middle of the week, but Friday is my "official" WI day. The CC challenge is one of the most laid-back challenges out there....some people don't even go by weight, they do measurements or how many days they exercise, etc. Whatever you want to do :)
Oh, as far as your WI today, clothes and water could easily add two lbs. I usually weigh in the morning (before I drink anything), and I have, um, minimal clothes on, lol. Fit: I am with you on TOM (well, pre-TOM) and I'm sorry you can't find your ring :(. I HATE losing things. I know everyone does, but it's one of those things I tend to overreact to and freak out over. Hopefully you have more patience than I do! Lori: no good April Fool's jokes to report, sorry! Nice to see you though! |
Ate 1566 calories, my range is 1250-1400, I went over cause of these huge breakfasts I've been having( i just enjoy it so much). It's a bad habit i can't break. I hardly have any calories left for the rest of the day and end up eating very small lunches & dinners. It's healthy food at least and I still lose weight. Lost 3 lbs this week, so now I have to stay on plan. Rode the bike for 20min , then had some running around to do. No walk, it was snowing this morning!
|
Fit- Sorry you lost your ring...but don't give up hope! A friend of mine lost her wedding ring and found it a year later in her lawn.
Megems-Ouch! I hope your honey is getting better. Tired- I LOVE wallyball.TOOO FUN! Northern- You are amazing every week on here! I'm embaressed to admit how lazy I have been about exercise lately. But my staying in my 1500 calories a day totally speaks to how calorie counting is the answer to weight loss. Last night I raked the lawn and set up my chicks in there new bigger home. They are sooo cute! I guess there not chicks any more, there more like teenagers in chicken years. Today will be bulb planting and getting ready for my son's first mx race of the year. Everyone have an awesome weekend! |
I'm happy to say mojo = results!!!!! I just finished measuring and taadaa 2.25 inches total this week!!! :carrot::carrot: So I'm about at goal!!! I was uber excited to pull out the tape today. So I will be doing my weight on Friday. Long as I stay focused I will be happy with that as well. My arms are usually very stubborn but was pleasantly surprised with those too.
K15g15 - Maybe after hanging out with you and Lori I may get in the yard before long. I'm really not into the whole outdoors playing in the dirt thing. But sounds like you are having a great time with it. Fruitlady - You are doing it. At least you aren't eating heavy late in the evening. So by the time the day is over you have burned off those heavy breakfast calories. Northern - What's going on with you...are you in snow too? Lori - No good jokes from me either. Looks like things are getting better with your daughter's choices...for now!!! :D P H A T - I'm sure you will see a loss and quite frankly when I weigh myself I do it first thing in the morning after my first pee stark naked. Fit - Stop looking for the ring. I know it's going to drive you crazy but the more you look the less likely you are to find it. If there is something else you have lost and haven't seen in a long time look for that...the ring will turn up. I thought I lost my current set, I turned my house upside down and shook it but when I stopped looking for it sad and scared to say something to my husband. I then couldn't find a pair of earrings he gave me for Christmas that he noticed I hadn't worn in a minute I went on the hunt for those and found the wedding set. I don't wear a lot of jewelry so keeping up with it is not my forte. So now I have them both!! Well ladies lets have a great day. I think with everyone getting good results this challenge it's contagious!! So lets keep spreading the good results!!!:high::high: |
Hi Ladies! I think I'm a bit late but, if it's okay, I'm all in!
My goals are: 1. Stay on plan each day and eat within my calorie range 2. Exercise at least 4x per week 3. Be out of the 250s Jigglefree Wow! 2.25 inches lost in a week?! WTG! Lori259 I played a little prank on my brother (not sure it's that funny but it made me laugh!). He's coming to visit me here in Africa and we're going to go on safari. I told him that the only trip available with our safari company was for newlyweds so we had to pretend to be married for 12 days and share a tent! The look on his face (via cam) was priceless! He's very squeamish about relationship issues so he kinda freaked out a bit! I didn't keep him in suspense long though - I just couldn't keep a straight face! |
Morning ladies! Hope everyone had a great Friday! I had a blast but I'm definitely feeling it today. :D Not as bad as I thought I would be though. Made a big batch of chocolate chip pancakes topped with strawberries and whipped cream for breakfast...have to get rid of the rest of the pancake batter! ;) So just a light lunch. I bought some tamales the other day that I want to have for dinner but there are no cooking instructions on the package! So if I don't find online how to prepare them (which I'm guessing I will), I'll have my leftover spaghetti squash. Fully anticipate being at or under my calorie allotment today.
No gym today since the Sox game starts in a few minutes and my gym will be closed by the time it's over. But I'll go on a long walk this afternoon to make up for it. It's supposed to be almost 80 today so I'm thinking it will be a really nice afternoon for a walk. :flow2: Hope everyone is having a great weekend! |
