manders- thanks, I'll look for pb2. I ate a banana this morning w/ peanut butter on it too! I love it, but I always end up eating half the jar. I like the natural ,reduced fat kind. If I could find a good low cal, low fat version, it would save me alot calories & fat. I tend to eat alot of it!

Yes, once I got started on the peanut butter, look out! I had about 8.5 servings today. It tasted so good I couldn't stop. My calories are through the roof cause I ate it with everything i had, 3864! Gotta get back on plan tomorrow & for the next week. I'll gain for sure after today! Rode the bike for 21min.this morning, went shopping and now I'm going back on the bike again.

I would love to find a low-cal pb that isn't paste!

Did good with my calories yesterday & got 40 mins on the treadmill. Tonight, I plan to go home and do some strength training, and get up in the morning to get in some Pilates. I really need to kick it up about three notches.

For my birthday, one of my co-workers bought me a candy jar for my desk area, filled it with reese's cups (bite size) plus a filler bag. What kind of evil is this? PB & chocolate are my favorites. So, I walked around my office to let everyone know that there is Reese's cups at my desk, and I know that 5 pieces = 220 calories. So if I absolutely need to eat it, I can remind myself how many BAD calories I am eating - I won't lie - I eat them but I count each little one in my food diary! But still EVIL ~ My fiancee thinks she is trying to sabotage me!!

LOL I was singing the praises of my PB&J all day. It's amazing what the simple things in life can do! :D

I believe I remember you posting that you have tried PB2. I don't personally find it to be pasty and I think the bit of extra water makes it nice and creamy. And the taste is just right on. So if you haven't tried it, IMO it's worth it. If you have, you could mix 1 serving of PB2 with 1/2 a serving of regular PB for more overall and the regular PB should make the PB2 nice and creamy. Just another another option to keep the calories down. :)

And yes, you have a very evil co-worker! I'd be totally screwed!

The last time I bought PB at the grocery store I got the natural Jif (always been a Jif girl). The only noticeable difference from regular PB to me was that even though the jar said no stir, I have to stir it ever time.

I'm not sure how I've managed such willpower around PB but I have. I'd say my worst infraction is not thoroughly wiping the knife off on the jar before licking the extra PB off. ;) Having the PB2 is probably a bit more challenging because I know it's so much less in calories that I feel that I can have it.

As I've been typing the post I've been wondering if I can increase my post-work out snack so I can have more PB! :p

Horo 03-23-2011 08:05 PM

Heh heh, peanut butter.. just for the sake of being able to post something here(I've not much else to update with) I have to say.. natural peanut butter on a sliced apple is my favorite snack in the whole entire world.

Missjessica 03-23-2011 08:28 PM

The posts on peanut butter are cracking me up! I love peanut butter but my flatmate is allergic to peanuts, so I have to either eat it out of the house or be really, really careful :) It has kept me from eating as much as I would if I could.

And I second that, the co-worker with the pb cups? Sneaky!! :)

k15g15 03-23-2011 08:46 PM

Odes to peanut butter! I would love to eat it everyday!

Oh! I forgot about PB on an apple! Thank you! Goodbye half a serving of Pop Chips with dinner and Jell-O Mousse Temptations for dessert, hello half an apple topped with 1 serving of PB2 for dessert! :cb: :D

Missjessica 03-23-2011 09:14 PM

Down a pound! 151, woo woo! 4 more til Easter Goal :)

NorthernExposure 03-23-2011 09:45 PM

I had a Reese's peanut butter cup for my chocolate treat today...coincidence?? I think not! LOL.

Miss Jessica: congrats on the loss!!

Tired: I love my wii Zumba! 20 minutes of Zumba goes by so much faster than a "regular" workout. It's a really fun thing to have in my exercise arsenal. I definitely wouldn't do it in front of anyone though...I have about as much latin rhythm as you'd expect from a white girl from Minnesota, lol!

I also hear you on 30 day shred. I did about 3 or 4 days of it (just on level 1) and, I don't know, it's just not fun. I'm sure it WORKS, but if I hate something, I won't stick with it. I may revisit it again (or maybe just do it once in a while), but definitely not something I want to commit to right now.

Meg: your co-worker is most definitely evil.

Phat: OMG, what a tiny little thing she is! Hoping she gets stronger and healthier every day!

As for me: I did my 3 mile WATP video tonight, along with 10 minutes of ab work. Ending the day at about 1520 calories. So far, so good this week!

rainbowstripe 03-23-2011 11:56 PM

Thank you for all the support ladies, it means a lot to me.

I'm still not eating the best foods, and still not quite sticking within my 1400 calorie limit - more like 1500-1600...but it's ok. I will recommit properly when I am ready and in the meantime I won't go overboard - I know that I have come too far to give up!

I have another job interview tomorrow so I'm feeling nervous, but positive - at least I have another chance at a different job. My neck is also feeling a lot better from the whip lash so hopefully I can get back into exercising next week.

NorthernExposure 03-24-2011 09:02 AM

Rainbow: Job hunting sucks....I hope you won't be pounding the pavement too much longer! Glad to hear your neck is better.

So tomorrow is WI day. I'm a little nervous that last week's "whoosh" was a fluke...but I guess it will be what it is.

Looking ahead, I have a challenging weekend coming up, but I really want to stick to my goals (exercise at least 5 days a week, no more than two days over 1600 cals a week). Saturday night we have a party, and Sunday is our anniversary (11 years...wow, where does the time go?) so we're doing a quick little overnight trip to celebrate. Anyway, here's my plan:

Friday: normally not an exercise day, but I will get a workout in tomorrow evening anyway. I think I'll be fine with my calories as we don't have any big plans.

Saturday: Usually my other "rest" day, but I will squeeze in a workout in the morning or afternoon before the party. I'm gonig to try to stay in my 1600 calorie limit that day. I'm thinking 500 cals or so between breakfast and lunch, which would allow me up to 1100 cals for drinks/party food. Of course estimating party food calories is hard (drinks are a little easier) but hopefully I will be in the ballpark.

Sunday: rest day/higher calorie day #1. Sensible breakfast (at home) and lunch out (maybe subway or something not too horrible) and I will enjoy my anniversary dinner that evening guilt-free. Hopefully keep the day under 2,000 cals total.

Monday: rest day/higher calorie day #2. Not-so-sensible brunch (looks like we will be doing a buffet), but I will end the day with a sensible dinner (at home). Again, hopefully under 2,000 cals when all is said and done.

Tuesday: back to work and back OP as usual.

megems 03-24-2011 09:20 AM

Morning all!

Good, I am glad we all can concur that the co-worker is evil! :D

Yesterday I skipped the gym and did 30 minutes of upper/lower body & ab work. My daily calorie intake goal is 1600 - and only ate 1566, so that makes me happy. I fixed the salsa chicken recipe from the recipe seach in this form - SOOOOO GOOOOOOD! I ate it with 1/2 cup of green beans & 1 cup of chopped red potatos w. onions & seasonings. All of that was only 371 for 4 oz of the chicken! Filling & yummy!

My plan for today was to get up this morning and re-start my morning workouts - I laid out my workout outfit, set out the weights & video I was going to do (Pilates - Burn & Firm - one of my favs), set my coffee to brew earlier....and FORGOT to set my alarm earlier! I was not happy! I will just start fresh next week I suppose! GRR ...

Got the gym tonight, so should get in about 75 mins of cardio there.

PEANUT BUTTER SNACKS/FOODS
Apple & Peanut butter (already mentioned - but LOVE IT)
Celery & Peanut Butter
PB&J (a staple of course)
English Muffin w. 1 TB butter, 1 TB Peanut butter (This is my favorite quick breakfast)

NOW...I have never made these, but I have heard of people making peanut butter pancakes! :)

manders01 03-24-2011 11:39 AM

Morning all! Not too much going on today. Planning for 1556 calories today. That includes a 190 calorie evening snack. I started thinking last night about my evening snacks and remembered that I didn't used to have them daily. So I may see how full I am after dinner and nix it if I'm not hungry. I'm still pretty new at this higher calorie allotment and it's been working so far so I don't really want to toss it so quickly but if I don't need it, why eat it?

Doing my Tuesday cardio today since I took it off. It'll be weird to be at the gym on a Thursday. :D Hopefully at least one of he handful of hotties that frequent the gym will be there so I can spend some time eye flirting. ;)

And going to get my hair trimmed this afternoon! :cb:

I've never had PB pancakes but I can see how they would be easy to make (either mixing the in batter or spreading the PB on the pancakes). I've been having pancakes about once a week so I'll have to give them a go.

My mom used to make PB cake which was sooooooo good. I was thinking about giving that a go sometime soon. Modified to be low-cal of course. :D And I think now that I've discovered PB2 I'm going to add PB cookies to my business menu soon.

k15g15 03-24-2011 11:45 AM

Rainbow- Good luck on your interview!

Northern- You amaze me every time with your planning and thought process!

I weigh in tomorrow. WISHING AND PRAYING AND EATING for 1 hundred something!!:)

fruitlady 03-24-2011 02:58 PM

Gotta try that PB2, I don't know where to get it.

Off to the dentist tonight to get 2 teeth pulled, so I wont be eating much. I got all my calories in earlier today so i wouldn't have to try to eat. I went a little nuts again and came in at 1741. My control is going right out the window lately, what's with me? Rode the bike for 20min & will do another 20min tonight. Gotta get on track!

I ordered it online from Linda's Diet Delites but it can also be ordered through the manufacturer's website.

OhMyDogs 03-24-2011 07:44 PM

I'd like to join!

My goal is to lose 16 pounds by April 24, which is 1 month and 1 day from now!

Missjessica 03-24-2011 07:55 PM

To start, peanut butter on pancakes is my favorite Saturday breakfast! I love love pb with syrup, it's ridiculously good.

I ate and ate today. I had a really low cal day yesterday because I wasn't feeling well, but today was back to normal :) Ate about 200 over normal, but took an hour long class at the gym, so it was just on target. I'm joining a running club at the gym next week. Wish me luck!

NorthernExposure 03-25-2011 09:07 AM

Yay! My whoosh last week wasn't a fluke! Down .7 lbs since Saturday, putting me at 183 even. I got to move my ticker down another lb. Woo-hoo! 4 more lbs to go untl I'm out of the 180's!

K15: Thanks. Now if I can just follow through with all my brilliant planning, lol. Hope to see your onederland post soon!!

Ohmydog: welcome!!

Everyone else: Have a fabulous weekend!!

jigglefree 03-25-2011 09:15 AM

Good Morning ladies,
I've been doing well with my eating and walking. I've been MIA because my cousin's wife passed on Tuesday. Been back and forth to house to help out when not at work. She had a baby two weeks and three days ago then suffered a stroke. So please pray for our family. The services are tomorrow and I've been getting my house ready for family that will be arriving today. I didn't get it all done but I think I may have time when I get off work.

I'm really proud of myself for eating at home before we go by the house. They have all kinds of food that is not on my eating plan. I may have a challenge today because grandma is coming with cakes...mmmmm nothing like grandma's cakes, from scratch. I have to have a slice of the "pig eating cake"...anybody every heard of that before. My aunt said it last night and I was like is that what you called it or is that the real name. She insisted it was the real name...I don't know but I'm gonna find out today.

k15g15 03-25-2011 10:09 AM

Sending prayers your way jiggle! How sad and unexpected! It sounds like you are a great blessing to your cousin and his family during this time.

OhMyDogs 03-25-2011 10:14 AM

Ohhhh my, I need to reevaluate my goal. For some reason I thought Easter was TWO months away, not one month. So I made my goal attainable for TWO months, at 2lbs per week!

OK, so my new goal is to lose 8lbs by Easter. My apologies!!

megems 03-25-2011 10:57 AM

jiggle ~ I am so sorry for your family's loss, I will keep you in my thoughts.

OhMyDogs ~ Welcome!!!!

Missjessica ~ How do you make your peanut butter pancakes?? I may have to try these for breakfast tomorrow! I have the healthysmart Bisquick pancake mix I use - so hopefully I won't feel too guilty about the added calories! ;)

Ended up with 1548 in calories yesterday (1600 daily max), so feel pretty good about that. Got in about an hour & fifteen minutes of good cardio! The scale is showing about 4 pounds down since Tuesday - but make no mistake - it is a loss, but I gorged myself over the weekend for my birthday, so I think some of it is because I am really restricting my calories this week like I should! Next week probably won't be so great, but I will take whatever I can get!!

Tonight, I plan on hitting the gym for about 40 mins of cardio, then having garlic shrimp pasta for supper. This will be my first time making it, so I am hoping it will be good!!

Saturday will be good, lots of cleaning & laundry, and want to spend about 2 or so hours at the gym. Sunday I have 2 birthday parties to go to! Suggestions on making sure I don't overeat?!?

ElizabethG 03-25-2011 11:02 AM

Sorry I have been MIA. I've been super busy at work. I will attempt to reply to what I can. Sorry if I missed anything.

rainbowstripe-So sorry to hear about your car accident and that you didn't get that job. :( I am sure you looked fabulous though. ;) Job hunting is depressing, I hope things look up soon.

NorthernExposure-I am glad you didn't get the huge snowstorm you were expecting. We are expecting snow in Iowa today and tomorrow. Its supposed to be rain or snow. Low is 18 high is 40 so it could go either way. I had flowers starting to come i hope they dont get frosted and die so I am hoping for rain. How do you like Wii Zumba? I have the regular Zumba dvds but I have never used them. Horrible I know. I got them a few years ago to get back into workout dvds but i'm too embarrassed to do it around my hubby. So they sit unopened. Congrats on your WOOSH!

jigglefree-Sorry sorry to hear about your cousin's wife! That must be so difficult. Prayers and positive thoughts to you and your entire family.

manders-that spaghetti squash recipe sounds wonderful. I tried spaghetti squash when I was low carbing and it was yummy. I saved some seeds to try and plant in my garden this year. I also saved and roasted the rest of the seeds. They taste like little pumpkin seeds. Very yummy! Oh and if you get that pb cake recipe, please share!! :)

Phat-So glad your neice is doing well! I agree she is definitely a soldier!! Thanks for the picture!

meg-salsa chicken sounds yummy. I make rotel chicken all the time. put 4 chicken thighs or breasts and then top each with rotel and bake then the last 5-10 minutes i add a slice of deluxe american cheese to each to get all melty. Very good, low carb and my husband loves it and would have it daily if he could. Peanutbutter pancakes sound heavenly. :)

To all those talking about peanut butter - I too adore peanut butter. I've tried to find that PB2 stuff too and haven't been able to find it locally. I may order online. Right now I just eat a half serving of a regular. Reeses PB cups are addictive, I can't eat just one so I totally wouldn't those around me.

To everyone else- Congrats to all the losses! Keep up the good work and don't give up! We can do it!

As for me, I haven't been doing the best. I tried to set my calorie limit at 1700 but I am having issues sticking to it. I will do so well all day and even through dinner. Then I will get hungry or my hubby will be eating something good and I will want one (or more) of whatever he's having and I go over. I am still under 2000 calories so I'm not gaining but I'm not losing either. I really need to get my butt in gear. Maybe start exercising more regularly. With my hubby and dog being sick taking care of them has been my priority BUT my hubby is FINALLY feeling better. And you know why? He went off his low carb diet. After I went off last month he too went off a week or so after. At first I felt bad, he was able to stay low carb last year when i did calorie counting, but he was feeling so awful and bad he wanted his comfort food...carbs. He had been getting progressively worse instead of better lately. Well a few days into eating high carbs he was feeling better. He was getting better daily with no medication changes just what he ate. So a few weeks into that he had a doctor appointment and thought he'd bring it up. Turns out his low carb diet could have been causing gout and with his severe psoriatic arthritis it would have been hard to diagnose unless they were looking for it. And thinking about even last year he felt worse on his diet than when he was off. Sure he lost 130 lbs but he was in alot of pain. I thought it was always just emotional but apparently it was causing physical pain. So no more low carb for him and despite my best efforts getting him to eat healthy carbs and not swiss rolls and chips I'm not doing too well. However Tuesday was the first day in OVER A YEAR that he has woken up with NO pain! Wow! I am so happy for him! So long story short (or longer at this point) I need to get my butt in gear my hubby isn't as dependent on me now so I should take advantage of that.

OhMyDogs 03-25-2011 11:07 AM

Thanks Megems!!

It's cooooold outside here today. It should warm up later, but I am energized now, and looking/thinking of a way to get some working out in from home. Normally I would go for a walk, but it's -21C right now, and frankly, that's below my cold tolerance level for an optional walk (I can handle it if I HAVE to). Also, I have both my girls home today (Pro-D day at school yesterday and today), and it's just too cold to drag them along, and they are too young (5 and 7) to leave home while I go. But later it will warm up to about -6C, which is much more tolerable. And we will be outside playing. I think I'll climb the "hill" (LOL it's actually a bunch of snow pushed into a mound) with the girls. It's only about 5 feet tall, but better than nothing!

In the mean time, I am thinking about (not sure, cause it scares me) putting on my work out DVD that we bought like 2 months ago, and I have yet to open! LOL

manders01 03-25-2011 11:29 AM

Jiggle - Very sorry to hear about your loss. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Never heard of Pig Eating Cake but am very curious to know what's in it.

Elizabeth - I haven't done much "experimenting" with the spaghetti squash as far as using in more pasta dishes instead of just pasta and marinara. But I have lots of ideas about using it so I must get on it. :D I believe she made the PB cake by making a box yellow cake and adding 1 cup of PB but I don't quite recall. I'm sure the cake was not from scratch, not my mom's style. But I don't remember if there was more in it than the PB and how much.

I only have 616 calories planned for breakfast, lunch and a post-work out snack today because I'm going out with some girlfriends for happy hour / dinner. It should be a pretty fun time and qualifies for my weekly night out. I thought about not going because that eighties band is playing tomorrow night and I wanted to go see them but they play like almost nightly so I will see them again soon. So I left a little over 1000 calories for this evening. I think it shouldn't be hard to stick to it cause I don't feel like it's going to be a huge drinking night but if I don't, that's okay. Weights and cardio this afternoon.

Hope everyone has a great start to their weekend!

OhMyDogs 03-25-2011 12:40 PM

So I attempted to do that evil work out DVD (for the first time, I hadn't even checked it out until this morning). Uggg...I got through about 6 minutes, and gave up. A lot of it was Squats based, and with severe osteo-arthritis in my left knee, right now I just can't do squats or lunges, or the likes. When I get some of this weight off, I think I will better be able to handle things like that, but not right now. So I did 6 minutes, then gave up...lol I'll have to find something else to do l!

k15g15 03-25-2011 01:00 PM

megems- I have been looking for a lower calorie pancake mix, do you love the healthysmart bisquick mix?

Lori259 03-25-2011 01:10 PM

OK I read a zillion New posts~& PEANUT BUTTER~Was in most of them~OMG~
(I did fit in some peanut butter on crackers the other day~But not that many UGH~)
Anyways welcome to OHMYDOGS & anyone else I may have missed that joined.
Jiggle~Sorry for your family's loss~& I have Never heard of that type of cake either But any cake sounds good!(Something with peanut butter LOL~YUMMY)

OK off to think about something other than peanut butter~(OH HOW I CRAVE WHAT U GOT TO EAT THE OTHER DAY NORTHERN!) Ok thats enough~I Must resist the peanut butter!! (but it is soooo good) LMBO

I weighed 130.8 this morning ~still on Tom & bloated but should be off it tomorrow I hope & get a true weight again by monday.~I have upped my calories again so I am hoping I remain within my maintaining size.~I will get it figured out eventually.

Well Off to wash the dishes....UGH I put it off to long today~I got a bad case of laziness today~ HUGS TO ALL!

osu2k1 03-25-2011 02:23 PM

I did a mid week weigh in at weight watchers today... And I was down 2.8 since Monday! Woo!!! I was very pleased with that since we are going to have my son's b-day party tomorrow, which means the dreaded chocolate cake! But man that motivation is priceless (seeing that number)! Go Me! :)

fruitlady 03-25-2011 04:17 PM

Hi all!

Rode the bike for 20min, then walked for 27min. Had 1400 calories, I would have liked to stay more in the 1300's. I've been in a slump, about two weeks of going over my calories, eating too much peanut butter & junk food even when I'm not hungry. The scale is punishing me, I'm too embarrassed to even post my weight. With the dental problems I have right now, i had to take ibuprophen( spelled right?) yesterday. That stuff makes me hold water like crazy, so I'm trying not to take it today. So that along with eating too much was the cause. When your off track for so long, it's hard to get back to it. I'm really struggling today, I'm sure it will be like this for a while. I am not buying peanut butter or junk food for the family til I lose this weight!

megems 03-25-2011 07:26 PM

I love it! The pancakes are light & fluffy, and 3 is a serving. I usually pair it with sugar free syrup, and 1 TB of butter. YUMMERS!!

I just need to figure out how to fit the peanut butter in there! :D

Missjessica 03-25-2011 08:25 PM

osu2k1 - Woo woo!

megems - Garlic shrimp pasta sounds awesome. For the parties, I would say eat a proper meal and extra raw veggies to fill up on. Less tempting to eat party food when you're full :) For the pancakes, I use Adam's natural and Smucker's sugar free syrup on pancakes made with Bisquick Heart Smart. Good choice! I also like it on the WW pancake recipe (the one with cottage cheese, oats, and egg whites blended in the blender). So so good and really filling!

OhMyDogs - Welcome! Good luck with 8lbs :)

jigglefree - I'm so sorry! Will definitely be saying prayers for you guys.

osu2k1 03-25-2011 11:44 PM

I think I am going to jump on the PB2 bandwagon! I found a few retailers that carry it here locally! I think I will be making a trip tomorrow! I love PB, but hate the fat and calories.

megems 03-26-2011 09:08 AM

Happy Saturday ladies!

I didn't get to the Y last night, because apparently they had the circus there! :dizzy: So, I came home and did some fat burning pilates. I love pilates!!!

I made my garlic shrimp pasta recipe and it was okay. I got it off of my spark people healthy recipe app. It was pretty good, but I let the sauce cook to long and it got a little thick (need better timing when cooking the noodles), and I think I will change a few other things. I prefer more flavor - nonetheless - I followed the recipe to a T - and came up with 277 per 1 cup serving - and their recipe said 187. So, I don't know what was different. Anyhow - I love pasta so I chose to eat 2 servings - this was WAY too much! You think 1 cup of pasta isn't going to cut it (huge pasta lover) well I could barely finish my bowl of 2 cups I was so full!!! I did splurge and have a piece of garlic toast. When I tweek the recipe better, I will post it for you all - it was overly good, I think I just need to play with it for awhile.

I ended up with 1754 calories yesterday and my limit is 1600 - it was that darn piece of bread (150 calories). But that is okay - I have had a couple low days this week, and I will be cautious eating today!

Tomorrow I WILL be making peanut butter pancakes, so as long as they are good I will post the recipe! I went on a search for a recipe and found a couple, so I might just make my own up a little. However, (hold on to your seats ladies) a couple people suggested sprinkling mini chocolate chips in the pancakes! That is ->! OH but how good that would be. I won't be doing it, cause that isn't a good use of my calories for a Sunday with 2 birthday parties!!!

Hope you all have a fabulous day!

Jiggle: I too wish to offer my prayers and condolences to your family. How heartbreaking :(

Elizabeth: I love the wii zumba! I totally get not wanting to do it in front of the hubby though, lol. Thankfully my workout area is in our finished basement downstairs...I workout while hubby is upstairs watching TV.

Dogs: I feel you on the squats/lunges. I can kind of do them now, but I have to watch the old knees as well.

Osu: Congrarts on the loss!!

Fruit: dental problems are no fun! I hope you're pain free soon!

Meg: I've been thinking about trying pilates. I've been doing yoga for a while and I like that a lot.

As for me: well, so far I'm sticking with my weekend plan. 1560 calories and exercise yesterday (30 day shred....I don't do it regularly, but I feel it's a good way to get in a "full" workout when I only have 20 minutes!) Going to do 30 minutes of something this morning (not sure what yet) and still keep my cals around 1600 today in spite of the party we have tonight. Tomorrow and Monday are my "free" days (celebrating our 11th anniversary), but I hope to keep it in check.

I'll probably be offline for a couple days here, so I hope you ladies enjoy your weekend!!

WOOOHOOO! I put off weighing in on Friday due to my TOM showing up...but got on the scale today and I'm in onederland :) !!! 198!! 4 pounds for the challenge 5 to go!

Thanks Megems for the advice on pancakes! I love them and when I made them last time with my recipe I was very sad that I only got to eat 2 itty bitty ones with my suger free syrup.

Everyone keep up the good work and have a great weekend! We are going to see Rango tonight (my son's choice :), someday I will see adult movies at the theater)

Boy did I have a day yesterday! I kept my breakfast and lunch a bit light because of going out last night. Well that wasn't such a hot idea. When I got home from the gym I was famished and tore through the kitchen. All good post-workout foods but still. I then ate more than I should have when I was out and ended up with a stomachache! Going to try to cut back slightly today (aiming for 1498) and tomorrow since I've already lost 1-1/2 pounds towards my challenge goal. But I also just broke one of my challenge goals with my eating above my allotment yesterday. So doing okay on the challenge thus far. Need to have a really good week since Friday is Opening Day here and I have no intention of paying any sort of attention to calories on that day!

Going to watch the last 2 episodes of BTVS (I've been rewatching the whole series the past month or so) and then head to the gym for cardio then over to the park for a walk. Need to spend some time cleaning the house to start preparing for my party Friday as well. Hate to clean, love that I burn calories doing it. :D

k15g15 - Another option for pancakes...I have been trying out Batter Blaster. They are good, not great, pancakes but at only 80 calories for 1/4 cup (about 1 4" pancake) they are right in line for where I'd like them to be. I add fruit, typically blueberries and 1/2 serving of sugar free syrup and they become fantastic.

PS Congrats on hitting 198!!! :cheer2:

chicks- I wish I could find pb2 at a store around here, nobody sells it. Sorry I got you guys hooked on thinking about p.b

I almost bought P.B at the market today, can you believe I resisted the temptation. I'd eat it everyday if it was here. I lost 3 lbs of water weight yesterday, rode the bike for 20min after breakfast, then went to 3 stores for different food items that were on sale. Went over my calories(1530) trying to cure stomach problems I had today, I hate when that happens. When I'm low on fat & sodium, I have to eat it or I have to deal with stomach, chest & back cramps that just get worse & worse if I don't eat what I need. I hate it!

Thank you all so very much. It was a very intense day. My cousin did an awesome job talking about his wife. He was eloquent and had EVERYONE in tears. I can't imagine how I would be as strong at such a difficult time. But be that as it may I didn't over indulge. I was mindful of my eating because I knew I was planning for cake. I had a peice of pound cake, pecan cheesecake, and a big peice of pig eating cake. I still don't know what it is other than a yellow cake from scratch, some kind of pineapple icing with mandarian oranges on top...delicious. Now I'm home for the evening. I also did my measurements and have lost 1.75 inches!!! I'll see how this week goes. I plan to go check on my cousin Wednesday and take him some things for the kids Saturday. My aunt gave a charge to us all about not just giving lip service. So your continued prayers are appreciated.

jiggle Keeping you and your family in my thoughts.

Ok so I think I finally broke my plateau, but I can't be sure...and even so, I think I may see S-L-O-W loss from here on out...but I am not giving up.

I had another job interview on Friday last week and got phoned the same afternoon asking me to come in for a second interview this coming Wednesday. I think it's a good thing, but I'm also super scared and nervous. I've never had a second interview anywhere before - usually just got the job or didn't get the job. I have no idea what to expect or what it will entail and I am very very anxious!

My neck is feeling much much better which I'm glad about. I have lost more hours at my current job, which is not good, so I'm hoping a new job works out for me soon...otherwise I'm going to find myself in a hard position.
