YAY! NORTHERN thats awesome!! Congrats, now you'll start moving... something about those 180's they trapped me for a while.

If I could find a homemade general taos recipe and master it I would be in heaven...:)

So yesterday I did 45 minutes on the wii zumba, and I was soaked at the end, gross huh? I also ran 2 miles in about 23 mins, that was a new recent record for me, I was excited then I did some abs, butt exercises. I had to work off that general taos...lol. Feeling so sleepy today like I could sleep all day, If the kids would let me..lol.. I thinks its the rain and the damp/cold humidity that goes right to your bones... I hope I find the energy to exercise today.

I cannot believe that Easter is on its way.....

And thank you! I got to text him last night for a while as well. It has been so great since we hadn't talked in some time. With neither of us being at the jobs we used to be, we went from talking almost daily to incredibly sporadically. So any chance I get has been something I treasure.

I think the hammie is about back to 100%. Still a bit tender when I go up stairs but otherwise pretty good. It felt a little too tender yesterday as well when trying to do lunges so I only did one leg. But that helped me figure out a better way to do them. I can go lower if I do one leg at a time, keep the dumbbell in one hand and brace the other hand on the window sill so I can go down lower and keep my balance. Rock hard thighs, look out! :lol3:

Manders LOL no no I wasn't upset or anything, not at all! I was explaining why I hadn't had much water (because I am a neurotic water princess ) I am glad you 2 have been able to text a lot lately, and I am SOOO glad the hammie is doing so much better!

Last night we had Burger King for supper. I figured out how many calories I had for supper, then had hubby grab me a veggie burger and a side salad! This is a HUGE deal for me because I have never liked veggie burgers. BK's wasn't bad though! While I know the sodium is still pretty high, my supper came in at about 450 calories. I could have afforded a small onion rings as well (calorie wise) but passed on them :D.

Also, as posted in another post, I can't keep my panties up...lmao they keep falling down, it's great!

TiredOfGettingBigger 04-16-2011 12:50 PM

Oh and Manders congrats on the 100 pound loss.....:)

Thank you! This is about my fourth time hitting it. :o But I'm working on kicking the binges, making better eating decisions and making this the last time I hit it! :boxing:

manders01 04-16-2011 02:58 PM

Northern, you inspired me! Before I left for the gym, I looked up some dumbbell exercises for the triceps and found two that I did today at the gym. They were awesome and I've decided to incorporate them into my Mon - Wed - Sat gym routines. I'm going to banish those bat wings! :drill: Thanks lady! :)

Did hop on the elliptical though went light on time and intensity. Didn't feel too bad and it looks like I'll be back to full strength in no time! :cb:

Hope everyone is having a great Saturday! I'm about to move my laptop to the back porch to soak up some :sunny: while listening to the Sox game.

Fit4Lyfe 04-16-2011 06:50 PM

So I've been irregular lately and I finally ahem, "went" today and I hopped back on the scale and had lost about .4 oz, so it was 238.4 today...

manders01 YES THAT'S THE ATTITUDE TO HAVE!!! We only have 8 more days, let's make these last 8 days count!!!

I was wrong. :( It's a recipe for Sesame Chicken not General's Chicken. But maybe it would work as a good starting point to make that. I'm guessing using it as the base and an online recipe for the seasonings of General Tso's might work. I really do need to try this recipe out.

Is anyone else getting colder as they loose weight?
I usually wear shorts this time of year when the sun is shining , but I'm still in long sleeves and pants. Everyday at school I wear a sweater and my kids are wearing tshirts. Also at night I still need the electric blanket. Is it just me or is anyone else experiencing this?

Way to go at Burger King Oh My Dogs!

Absolutely! I never used to have an issue with being cold. Now, I'm cold all the time. I used to tease my sister incessantly about always being cold and having to go to the bathroom so often. Boy has that come back to bite me! :D

pochamma10 04-17-2011 04:42 AM

So I had a pretty good weekend - I am now officially in the 240s! I was 247 this morning! I am so glad I was able to meet my challenge goal. It's only 4.8 lbs to go until I reach my 5% loss, which is my first mini-goal! I am still thinking of a reward for reaching that!

I think one of the problems in the past was I was too strict on myself - like I thought I would eat bread crumbs and climb mountains!?!?! What was wrong with me? Anyway, I am with Fit and Manders - I really want this last week to count!!!!

Northern WTG on your hard work! It's paying off.

Manders I REALLY want to try laser hair removal when I get back to the States. I think I might make it my onderland reward. I don't have a hormonal imbalance (at least that I know about), but I'm a hair ball and I'd really love to not spend the next 50 years plucking nanny goat hairs from my chin!!

Fit WTG on the loss!

Jiggle I LOVED your comment about your toddler and husband! I can totally relate - my husband seems like an overgrown kid sometimes! I once asked a friend of mine, who had the happiest relationship I'd ever seen, what her secret was. She told me that she treated her husband like a four year old!!!!

jigglefree 04-17-2011 10:14 AM

Good Morning Ladies!!!
Just finished my 2 mile walk/jog on the treadmill and am feeling good. Had a 260 calorie breakfast. We're going to the park today so a little more exercise for me before the day is out. We're going to get it done this week. We will all have good reports at the end of this week. I'm looking forward to finishing strong this week.
Pochamma10 - That is such good advice. I will have to remember that and it will take me a long way...especially when I'm expecting him to be an adult.
K15g15 - Yes I'm always cold. I also think everyone is as cold as I am. Everyone in my office has personal fans that are always running and I'm walking around in a sweater or jacket...I don't expect it to get better anytime soon because I need to drop about 50 more pounds.
Manders - Congrats on the -100 pounds. You will have a handle on it before you know it you'll be saying things like I remember when I used to b binge. And thanks...I know it all adds to the final result. The elliptical is always hard on me. I usually go 30 minutes at the highest intensity and when I get off I'm starving and sleepy. Good you found a good more comfy way to get your lunges done but I hate those things. I do squats...I actually like doing those. I wish I coud get a visual of those lunges because it would probably pay off for me and my hamstrings.
Ohmydogs - I can not eat Burger King because of the salt. It used to be no problem until I made my lifestyle changes. But I cut out as much salt as possible. Now anything sweet or salty is almost unbearable.

Gotta go to church...will check in later...have a great day ladies. Remember the end is one week away so let's GET AT IT!!

OhMyDogs 04-17-2011 10:27 AM

So I got on the scale this morning for a weigh in. Usually I weigh in on Mondays, but I know that between this upcoming week, and the next week, that Sunday nights are going to be fairly high sodium dinners, so thought I'd hit the scale Sunday morning instead to keep from seeing water gain on the scale.

I weighed in at 269.8 this morning....WOOOHOOO!!!! Passed another "decade". AWESOME! That just totally made my day!

Now....off to update my tickers, etc.

Fit4Lyfe 04-17-2011 11:35 AM

final stttttrrrreeettttccccchhhh

UGH...... I'm still at 238.8!!! But you know what? it's totally my fault, I've been eating all wack and my water has been off...I have definitely learned the adage "you can't out-exercise bad eating habits" (can somebody pllllease tell me which 3FC member has that in their siggy?) and I have been eating like a :moo: this week...every single day. OR I could be in a mini-stall...? IDK, but this is the last week of the challenge so I need to GET IT TOGETHER...or else I'll have another week of wolf brows (lol)

k15g15 wow, my grandmother just remarked how I'm cold these days! I didn't even think they were related!

pochamma10 WTG:bravo: welcome to the next decade!

manders01 congrats on 100-milestone!!!

OhMyDogs Whoot whoot on the new decade!!!

Okay ladies, this is the final stretch, we've all been busting out humps these past few weeks and this is where we make it count...let's all have a good week!!!

I don't either that I am aware of. It's something to do with that area and how hormones are different on your face or something. Or it might not be hormones, I might be thinking of the wrong thing. :dizzy: I was warned it might not take in that area for that reason but I had to give it a shot. I also am a bit fair skinned / fair haired right at my chin. That's not a good combo for it to take either.

Thanks! It's the last time, I swear! :D I don't like lunges either. They are an arse kicker! ;) But I'm very happy with the results - I've been feelin' it for the past couple of days. I like it when I feel my workout!

Thank you! And good luck!!! I know you can have a great week to end our challenge on a positive note!

---

Thank you all for my congratulations but I really do not deserve them. I am embarrassed to admit I hit my actual 100-pound mark on October 18th. :( I cannot believe that I have bouncing around in the mid-160's to mid-170's for this long. NO MORE!!! I am kicking this **** into gear and plowing through the 160's! I know I have to remember that I have been putting on muscle mass in the past month which I had not planned on doing until I hit my goal (I was original plan was to lost to 150 than put on muscle to 160). But this sucks!!! That is just WAY too long to be bouncing around not making any progress!

Not a great evening yesterday. Went over to my best friends and overindulged in the pizza from my favorite place. They had a HUGE tub of cheese balls sitting in their kitchen they finally beckoned me one to many time and I sat there snacking on those while waiting for the pizza. I then proceeded to have 3 slices along with some cheesy bread. :nono: I could have easily been more than full with 2 slices but I rarely get this pizza anymore so it's very hard for me to say no. Next time it's 2 slices, no cheesy bread! :drill: After all that savory and salt though, I managed to only have a Skinny Cow bar when I got home and not eat everything chocolate flavored in my house. :D Thought about it several times, but was always able to remind myself that it just wouldn't be worth it. :cheer2:

I had to laugh a bit because she didn't want to suggest the pizza because she was afraid I'd binge. So then I had to explain to her that a binge is not having 3 slices instead of 2, it's having the entire pizza with an order of wings and anything else you could scavenge from your house. But it was also quite embarrassing to have her say that. :o If definitely made me wonder about how she views what I eat, how much I eat, etc. While I didn't contain myself to 2 slices last night, I can't help but think I'll be watching what I eat in front of her from now on.

Because of my "reckless" ways and the fact that I didn't get to have the yummy, healthy, filling dinner I had planned last night (spaghetti squash with "meat" sauce and bruschetta), I'm dying for fruits and veggies. So I had berry pancakes this morning, going to do roasted veggies for lunch and will move last night's dinner to tonight. Looking at 1416 calories for the day. Will go on a walk this afternoon after I watch the ballgame and would like to do at least 4 laps which will be about 381 calories burned but will try for 6 laps.

Lots of stuff to do today. It will be a busy Sunday! But I'm thinking it will be a good one as well! :) Have a great day ladies!!!

Big hugs to everyone who is doing well -- I am MIA for now because I live in Raleigh, NC and a good chunk of our house got ripped up by tornadoes yesterday! We NEVER get tornadoes, the planets aligned or something and deemed that a bunch of them rip through the state. Getting in my exercise cleaning up, but with no power, eating lots of fast food. :(

Keep doing well ladies! :D

Very sorry to hear about the damage. Hope you are back on your feet in no time!

jmfan317 04-17-2011 02:30 PM

I've been MIA for a while. 2mrw is weigh in so we'll see how that goes. I've been doin good with my wrkouts I haven't missed a single one. My food hasn't been the best. We'll see if that has any effect on me when I go 2 weigh in. Nxt Sun is Easter so whatever my weight is 2mrw hopefully I will be close to my goal of 155 lbs.

OMG Dorian, I am glad you are ok (hope Dorian is ok too!!). I think it's understandable that you eat what you can, when you can in an emergent situation. My thoughts are with you while you clean up from Mother Nature's Fury!

I am so sorry to hear that Dorian! I live here in the midwest where tornados are common, but tornados never stop amazing me with the amount of damage they can do. Be careful cleaning up, you never know where you will find nails, glass, etc.-I speak from experience(tetnus shot as an extra bonus after the nail came out)

I'll keep you in my prayers!

fruitlady 04-17-2011 04:39 PM

dorian- I feel so bad for you, that must be terrible.

Yesterday i over ate again, met w/ old friends last night & ate 5 cookies, 2 sm. brownies & a little apple crisp. Plus i was eating all day before I went. Gained 2 more pounds on top of the excess weight I was trying to lose. Now I'm 9 lbs heavier than I was last summer, I feel terrible about letting myself go and not having any willpower anymore. So starting today my goal is to eat clean & not go over my calorie limit til Easter. Hopefully I'll lose some weight, but then I'll end up gaining back from eating candy on Easter.

NorthernExposure 04-17-2011 08:12 PM

Wow...lots of chatter since I was on here last.

Dorian: So sorry to hear about the damage. I'm assuming you and your family are (physically) OK??

Manders: yes, congrats on the 100 lbs lost milestone! And let me know how the shrinking bat wings go :)

Dogs: congrats on a new decade!!

K15: Oh, I totally feel you! Same exact thing for me (I also work at a school). Though I think some of those girls would rather freeze than wear something warm as long as they look good, lol.

Thanks to everyone for their encouragement on my *hopefully* reaching the 170s! And I am in total agreement that we need to make this last week count!!

I've stuck to my weekend plan pretty well. I allow for 2 higher calorie days per week and I've kept both of them (yesterday and today) right around 1800, including a few drinks last night--BIL's band was playing in town. Didn't exercise Friday but kept under my usual 1600 cals. Did about 20 minutes of cardio yesterday and 20 minutes of weight lifting today. So kind of a "laid back" exercise routine, but I REALLY had to work to get off the couch this afternoon! Was not motivated to do anything, but at least I did SOMETHING, right?! :)

Back to my regular weekday calories and exercise tomorrow and hope to finish strong with the rest of you!

Lori (and everyone): what are you guys thinking for the next challenge? Memorial day? Other thoughts?

OhMyDogs 04-17-2011 09:26 PM

How about Canada day? ;) July 1.....10 weeks away

Ekicna 04-17-2011 10:36 PM

Memorial day sounds good to me. My husband comes home sometime in June so I am trying to get in shape by then.

pochamma10 04-18-2011 04:48 AM

Hi ladies, it's been a few days since I've posted. I was having trouble getting 3fc to load here but it appears to be working now - I even updated my ticker! Crisis averted! I've been good, staying on plan, even a bit under my 1600 daily calories, usually in the 1430-1580 range. Yesterday I REALLY had to drag my arse off the couch to exercise - I just was not feeling it at all! I made three miles with my buddy Leslie though so I felt pretty proud of myself for that! I want to finish strong and have set myself another goal of being at a 5% loss by my b-day in May, shortly after the challenge is over! Wish me luck!!!

Dorian So sorry to hear about the tornado!!! I hope you and yours are alright!

Manders Thanks for the info! It's definitely helpful - though I am "lucky" because I am fair but the hair on my chin definitely isn't! Maybe that means I'm a decent candidate for laser? Anyway, I plan to have the consultation when I get back - can't wait! And I think you are being too hard on yourself!!! 100 lbs is AMAZING!!!! So what if it took you a bit longer or you faltered a bit along the way? We're only human! At least you got off ur arse and did something to change your life!

Northern Which WATP videos do you do? I use them as well and think they're pretty good, though I do get a little bit bored with the same steps. Also, if you work out how to make a binding agreement with your body, please let me know - I need to make a similar one myself!

OhMyDogs Congrats on the next decade! I just figured out what that meant as some people told me that when I dropped into the 240s! lol

Jiggle I was just curious if you had your own treadmill or do you use one at the gym? In my home I have an elliptical machine but it's in storage while I'm overseas. I miss it because I could really get a good workout even if I didn't make it to the gym!

MissJessica Don't be too hard on yourself, you've been working really hard! It's great that you are watching sodium. Do you have any tips or tricks? I'm trying to cut down on my consumption but am not monitoring it too closely.

k15g15 WTG on your loss!

Fit Girl you cracked me up with the wolf brows thing!!! I totally hear you on that - I let mine get so overgrown and everything was just a bit too out of control! The last time I went home in January, the lady that waxes them for me was like, um, do you want your upper lip, too? lol And look at it this way, you maintained, you didn't gain, so that's good, too!!!

P H A T 04-18-2011 09:11 AM

Good Morning ladies, & happy beginning of a Brand new Week! Sorry that I was M.I.A. this weekend, but I just couldn't resist this beautiful weather we've had this weekend here in KY. I didn't fall off track at all, but I indulged a little! & even though it was my TOM this weekend, I didn't let cramps & emotional mood swings keep me from enjoying my weekend alittle ..

Good news, I have reached my CC Easter Challenge! Weighed in losing an additional 1.8lbs, which put me over the goal! I was soo thrilled & excited when I seen! That is 8lbs in 6 weeks! :) I feel great :) I can't wait for the next challenge :dizzy:

 to everyone who's a Loser this weekend! :) & to everyone having a tough bout. this is a new week & a fresh start, so let's get 'er done!

have a beautiful day, lovelies.

:grouphug:

jigglefree 04-18-2011 09:53 AM

Good Morning Everyone :carrot::carrot:

I haven't done my workout for today and on lunch I have to run an errand. I have an extremely low calorie day ahead to compensate for not working out.

P H A T
- Congrats on making goal. You are doing a great job and this is only the beginning of more happy moments.
Pochamma - I do have a treadmill at the house. I found it at a garage sale for $50 and it works great. I think the person bought it with good intentions but those intentions didn't pan out so they got rid of it...great for me!!
Northern - Memorial Day sounds good to me. I do better with shorter challenges. Looking forward to your WI so we can celebrate!!!
Fruitlady - You have time to get back to your last summer weight so feel better. Thankfully you aren't where you were when you started.
Dorian - Sorry to hear about all that and hopefully things get better sooner rather than later. We will be praying for you. Is your power back on yet? Anywho, as long as you have to go to the fast food joints just make the best possible choice and it will not result in too much damage.

jdonato 04-18-2011 10:00 AM

i can't stay and chat i have to do alot at work today...but fyi...

146.2...FML! really? I guess i really have to change a few things and I'm way beyond my limit and i never ever thought i'd be back to this, i'm almost in tears and I feel like I will never be back down again!

Fit4Lyfe 04-18-2011 12:20 PM

So my week-long binge finally revealed itself: I was 240.4 lbs today, up 1.6 from last week. I know it's really because I ate a million milligrams of sodium yesterday and had like, 2 cups of water...sooooo, yea. I'm totally free for spring break so for the next 5 days it's twice daily workouts and calorie cycling to the max!!! I now have to lose like 3 lbs to make my Easter goal next Sunday...:o yea.

manders01 Congratulations on NOT binging and you know what? At lease your friends care about your new eating habits; my friends know I am trying to change my life and insist on making food the main focus of our get-togethers, oh and drinking. And lots of it. lol.

Dorian5 So sorry about the tornadoes, you and your family are in my prayers...and diet by damned! You have bigger things to deal with right now

NorthernExposure Awesome weekend, please send me some of that weekend :dust: I NEED IT LOL...I'm sure you will burst through this last week and I think Memorial Day is too close...let's do an obscure Holiday, lol...IDK which one

pochamma10 LOL...if you could see my brows the wolf-thing wouldn't be funny it would be...true.

P H A T :broc::woohoo::bravo::congrat: YOU DID IT GIRL!!! WTG!!!

jigglefree you got it girl...you can do it!

jdonato Aww... sorry to hear that, I am in the midst of shaking it up this week too, we can do it!!!

jmfan317 04-18-2011 12:43 PM

I did my weigh in this mornin and I've very happy I lost 2.2 lbs last wk. I'm now @ 157 lbs. I'm 2 lbs away frm 155 lbs. I have this wk 2 lose it. Hopefully I get there

Ekicna 04-18-2011 02:22 PM

Hi ladies, I got tired of seeing the same weight on my digital scale so I brought my analog scale. Apparently, the analog scale says that I weigh at least 2lbs less than the digital scale. I think my digital scale needs new batteries. I can step on my digital scale 3 times in 3 minutes and I get 3 different answers. What do you all think? Do you trust Analog scales? If so, then I'm 117 and not 119. I've been everything from 119.4- 120.2 all while naked without eating this morning.

146.2...FML! really? I guess i really have to change a few things and I'm way beyond my limit and i never ever thought i'd be back to this, i'm almost in tears and I feel like I will never be back down again!

 You can do this! Review your eating, water drinking and exercise for the past couple of weeks and use that information to move forward. You will be back down, I know it!

Thank you! Since I've been having such a problem with binges in the past few months, avoiding one is a huge deal to me. I can't help but be proud of myself when I avoid them.

I think I'm the friend that plans things around food and drink! :o

So I still haven't gotten my spaghetti squash! LOL My veggies stuffed me up for lunch and I knew big dinner wasn't a good idea. So I just had the bruschetta with some pretzels & hummus and some vanilla yogurt. I'm going to go to the baseball game either tonight or Wednesday after so if it's tonight, it will have to wait till tomorrow night. I bet it's the best tasting spaghetti squash I ever eat! :D

Only made it 2 laps yesterday. Although windy, it wasn't terribly unpleasant but once I started walking, I realized I had no desire to be doing so. But since my calorie intake was a little low yesterday, I could afford a few less laps.

Still trying to decide if I go to the game if I will bring my dinner or get something at the park. I know what I want - mmmmmmmmmm, ballpark food  - but for financial and caloric reasons I know I should bring. It will be a game time decision. :p So without dinner, I'm planning for 1025 calories with weights and cardio at 598.

Ahh, the benefits of being self-employed...my office is on the back porch today. No reason not to soak up some sun while looking for some floor tile! :) Have a great Monday all!

Not sure what's happening with 3FC lately? Wrote a post at work and somehow most of it got deleted? Anyway, I will try again later!

Edit: Ok, let's try this again!

Pochamma: I have an old VHS 2 mile WATP that also has a hand weight component. I also have a 3 mile "boot camp" DVD with reistance bands. I'm starting to get a little bored with it too, but it's easy to follow and easy to pop in during the winter when I can't exercise outside. Which ones do you do?

Phat: congrats on getting to your goal, and a week early to boot!!!

Ekicna: I weigh on my wii fit. I think it's actually pretty accurate. It was only a couple lbs off from the Dr's scale, where I had all my clothes on. I don't want to buy a bathroom scale yet as I don't want to get too obsessed with weighing. When I get to goal I will probably get one when I can handle daily weighing so I can make sure I'm staying in whatever I decide is my maintenance range.

Fit: sorry about the sodium gain. Darn salt!!

MJ: congrats on the loss!

So...anyone else have any thoughts on what our next challenge "holiday" should be? Ultimately it's Lori who sets these up (Thanks LORI!) but it seems she's pretty busy lately, so I thought we could try to help her out by coming to some sort of consensus before the end of this challenge.

I personally like Memorial day as, like Jiggle, I seem to do better with shorter challenges. Memorial day would be about a 5 week challenge. I also heard Canada Day and "some obscure" holiday, lol. The only things I can think of in June would be Father's Day (June 19) or the first day of summer (June 21st). If anyone else has other ideas, please throw them out there! I know we also have posters from the UK and New Zealand (Rainbow, are you still with us??) so if you guys have some other holiday ideas that's cool too :)

As for me: I was a wee bit over in calories (1619) and did kind of a half-@$$ed 2 mile WATP work out today. I think I'm just anxious to get through this week! We have Friday and Monday off for Easter and DH and I are taking a little mini vaca Friday-Saturday and doing the family thing Sunday. Need to stay focused!!

fruitlady 04-18-2011 09:48 PM

phat- Conrads on the loss! I agree, let's get 'er done!
jiggle- Thanks!
jdonato- I almost gave up when the scale was going to high, I felt hopeless. Please keep going, don't give up, you lost it before, you can do it again!
Northern- Memorial Day challenge sounds great!

Did good with my eating again and didn't go over my limit, had 1376 calories. That scale scared the sh** out of me a few days ago, my weight was crazy high. I'm glad it did scare me, it got me back on track right away. I'm back to my old dieting tricks that gave me great results before, already lost 1.7lbs. Did 63min of exercise, and I'm feeling more energetic already, not sluggish! If I make it through the week without messing it up, I am eating candy on Easter!! ( as long as my weight is low enough) lol

manders01 04-19-2011 12:50 AM

Northern - I like Memorial Day as well.

FruitLady - Congrats on getting back on track! :cb:

So I am about the only girl that lifts weights when I do. And I appear to be the only one that socializes with the guys when lifting. Well today one of the guys that I've chit chatted with a few times decided to give me pointers. I am sure he was just trying to be helpful and only a little bit trying to be a macho beefcake but it was still soooooooooo annoying. He actually told me that I would gain weight as I put on muscle! Well duh! I'm sure there are people, both women and men, who don't know that but if someone has been lifting regularly for several weeks and following a typed out routine, they probably know. It was just a little irritating because although I'm sure he means well, I didn't ask for the tips. Sorry...end rant. :)

PS I was SOOOOOO good at the ballgame tonight!!! :cheer2:

P H A T 04-19-2011 07:23 AM

Good Morning lovelies !!

jigglefree is it just me or does not working out seem to throw you off balance with calories? I wish I found More time to workout myself...

jdonato  KEEP GOING .. don't let this setback throw you off your path .. we know gains & plateaus happen, but as cliche as it sounds at this point, what matters is what you're Doing Now to rectify it. dont let it discourage you too much, just use this as fuel to motivate

Fit4Lyfe ;; that sodium throws everything off , trust me I know! Just watch your sodium intake for the next couple weeks & drink tons of water, Im sure that water weight will go back down within a few days...

mjluva829 :belly: congrats on your loss, wow 2.2 thats great :)

Ekicna ;; i dont think anything is wrong with experimenting with something that might end up working better for you .. I agree to maybe change the batteries on your scale frequently to make sure that you're getting the most accurate read out ..

manders01 ;; oh how I envy you! I wish I could do my job from home & outside too? .. wow .. then again I dont know if Im disciplined enough for that ... I dunno if the beautiful warm weather would allow me to get work done lol :yoga:

NorthernExposure ;; lets get back in the game .. LoL i know personally I definitely need to get back focused... there's only a few more days till the Easter challenge is over & a little over a week before the end of the month. lets go out with a bang

fruitlady ;; LOL at the scale .. you should take an example from jdonato & just Flip the scale off .. :dizzy: lol

as for Moi; everything going well so far this week, seeing as its only Tuesday, Im kinda speaking before myself.. lol.. But I do feel good & rested, my period is over thank Goodness!! so I feel lighter :) LOL .. Oh & I agree with everyone's idea on the next challenge being Memorial Day .. thats like what 5 weeks? I like the shorter challenges, seems easier to stay on track & to manage ...

well, Ill check back in today .. enjoy your Tuesday, ladies

:grouphug:

Fit4Lyfe 04-19-2011 11:10 AM

Thanks ladies!!! The sodium did come off (a little) and I weighed in at 239.8 today, so just 2.9 lbs from goal for Sunday and I KNOW I can do it...I am off for my first of my twice daily workouts and my eating was kinda wack yesterday, but I'm slowly bringing myself back from binge city. And I think I'm figuring myself out; I am sabotaging myself, when i get to the 230's (and trust me, I've been here before) I start throwing sh!t down the drain and I start sabotaging myself and NO MORE!!! I haven't seen 237 in maybe a year and I am going to see it by Easter Sunday!!! Off to exercise!

When you work for yourself, your choice is to get it done or go broke! Though I'm going to need to invest in a glare reducing cover for my computer screen. Picking out finishes is not that easy when you can't tell what the color and pattern are! :D

---

LOL Still no spaghetti squash! My best friend's husband invited me to the ballgame tonight so I will yet again be pushing it out. Tonight is "Guy's Night Out" and I'm taking his best friend's seat. I asked him if there'd be a lot of single guys around us. :p With my luck though, they'd all assume I was with him and not single and looking! :D

Going to have a good night at the ballpark again though! I am planning to eat dinner before I leave. I also have planned to have two beers and have room for a third just in case. I think the two will probably be sufficient though. Now let's just hope the Rockies don't look completely crappy and the rain holds off! :cb:

Planning for 1490 calories taken in and 495 calories burned off today. That number might go down if it's raining when I head to the gym though. No desire to walk in the rain cause this is not how I look when it rains: :rain:

Have a great Tuesday everyone!!!

jigglefree 04-19-2011 11:21 AM

P H A T - My calories seem to be all over the place when I don't workout but yesterday it went well. I stayed right at 1300 calories and was all proud of myself.
Manders - Sounds to me like he was flirting. He figured that was a good "common ground" to talk to you on and if you would talk to him he may find some other ground to get on. :D
Fruitlady - You are so funny. If you stay on plan all week and loose you will have candy for Easter. If not you can still have candy just have one piece.;)
Northern - I'm so jealous you get Monday off too...a nice long weekend and I would be going to visit someone. I've been a little excited about this last week too. I'm wanting all my goals to be reached and I refuse to sneak a peek. But I think I should be good.:dizzy::dizzy::dizzy:
Ekicna - I had to throw my scale in the garage. It's analog but it makes me anxious and I have a tendency to eat better on the days it would say a loss but on the days there was a gain I would eat badly...psycho I know but it hindered my progress. :?::?::?: I measure now and it is so much more rewarding ;)
Mjluva - Good loss. Keep up the good work. :carrot:
Fit - Just a suggestion but if you drink like 3 liters of water for a couple days you should loose that sodium/water weight quickly without all the excess workout...unless you just want to do them. That usually works for me.
JD -:hug:Just don't quit!!! You will get in your groove!!

I did my kettle bell workout this morning and will be leaving for the gym in a couple minutes. I'm feeling like I'm about to have a GR8 week.

:carrot: I know you can do it! I love that you are so encouraging. I'm even though I formally dropped out of this challenge, I'm still checking for updates everyday.

Measuring makes me crazy because I haven't seen a loss yet on the measuring tape.

I got a loss this morning, I'm down 0.6lbs. :D If I keep this up I'll be 1.8lbs away from my Easter Challenge Goal on Easter.

jdonato 04-19-2011 12:15 PM

Wow thank you ladies for the support, Im almost in tears from it. Thank you it's what I needed :) Hugs to all of you

This morning I was at 144.6 so back down a little. I'm going to have to really look at what i'm eating, and the bf and I agreeded we've been eating out alot so we are cutting back. I really wanted to be 139 by easter, and I don't think that is going to happen. I"m still dealing with TOM so hopefully soon it will puff down a little more.

I was crabby and tired this morning, I woke up and the bf had coffee ready for me and when I went to get my coffee mug to go ready, he had put a note in there saying he loved and wishing me a good day. So between you guys and him this is really motivating me and helping :)

PHAT: Glad your feeling better and lighter, I hope to feel that way soon and thanks again for the encouragement

manders01: I know exactly what you mean, i get so intimidated when i lift weights cuz i'm only at 5lbs and I feel like they look at me like i'm wasting space there. And to what that guy said about you gaining weight from weight lifting...not so true. Yes muscle weights more than fat but us as women don't have enough testosterone to gain muscle like the guys do, so you will never be bodybuilding style and gaining weight like that. the most will be initial 5lbs maybe from water retention and after a period of time it will go down and be normal and the muscle will burn more calories and help you lose more weight. I hope this helps.

fruitlady: as always thanks for you help and support. Im glad you saw a loss and I know i was able to lose it before, just don't know if i can be that strick again initially. When I did that before, I lost the first 25 by counting calories, not working out, and the second 25 by counting, working out and I did the South Beach Diet 2 weeks phase 1 to lose the initial 10lbs to help me get going. Which was the only way i was able to lose the last 25lbs. Well im' back to my last 25lbs again, and I don't know if I can be that strick again for 2 weeks without slipping. any pointers? Oh and I'm trying to look up some stuff for you for peanutbutter...I got some things I found and made me think of you, so I will send you that info :)

Northern: keep up the good work and it's great your exercising and good luck on your vacation :)

Everyone else sorry I can't get to everyone, i'm at work and have to get back to it. I will check back in later. Oh and Memorial Day sounds good to me. Thanks again ladies for the support!
